I use a Katadyn Combi Water Filter for my survival bag. It's Swiss made and the US military has been using Katadyn for years. My cousin used them in his multiple tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the globe. Good to see some American companies stepping up!
Btw that 'Reef' knife looked fantastic. Beautiful classic timeless design. No fuss or frills... exactly how I like it. I wish the guy the best of luck. Hope his enterprise is a success.
Happy independence day, lots of love from your british cousins, how I envy your written constitution! Great channel, love all your content, god bless to you and your lovely family.
We love the UK having lived there from ‘82-84 during a USAF stint and explored every inch of GB. You guys have some amazing warriors too. Had a blast with the amazing people.

Great presentation working the country into the manufacturing of truly Iconic brands .Well done young man .Stay safe out there on those crazy high ways .Happy trails
Did not realize Princeton was made in the USA. Really good to know. I usually don’t care too much about who sponsors a video, but Grip6 is the real deal. I own a bunch of their belts. They’re the only brand I wear now. I can’t believe you didn’t showcase the ESEE 6! You should do a vid like this every year showcasing other USA made products or giving updates on brands you already covered.
Great video. Thank you for recognizing the American companies doing a great job in the EDC market. I've carried a Leatherman almost everyday since I joined the Navy in '97. Keep up your great videos
Great video. Our thoughts are aligned. Enjoyed your choice of showcased companies & items. Learned of a few new to me items I will add to my gear pile. Thanks a bunch !
I lived in Germany for a few years and had a great time. Great to see American manufacturing in my part of the country, Intermountain West. Utah and Idaho are awesome. Happy 4th to all. I'm a Tops user and fan, very awesome knives.
You guys are so lucky to still be able to buy USA made products. Over here in the UK its almost impossible to buy british these days, except for small custom makers. Thatcher did for manufacturing in this country and turned us into a service industry economy. But manufacturing is the true essence of a nations economy. And once a generation or two have passed by those skills will be gone forever. And if we ever do try to rekindle our manufacturing industry we will always be multiple steps behind and always playing catch up. About the only things we still make are cars but even then it is only higher end cars like RR or Bentley or land rovers etc. We dont make cars on mass for the ordinary working man. The USA has such a strong economy because of manufacturing. Same for china. Their economy is based almost entirely on manufacturing... only they concentrate on the cheap rubbish and for that they will always be behind the states.
Not sure I'd compare the US to a BK-2 because it's 'thick'?? Anyway, don't do what we've done in Australia and send most of your manufacturing off-shore. Quality suffers and you're only sending jobs and money to another country's economy. Did someone say China? Your pride in supporting 'American made' is enviable. BTW I love both TOPS and Nalgene - outstanding designs and quality.
Wonder what you think about the Ontario SP1 and SP2. But I totally agree about the Bucks!! Have had a 112 light weight for over 20 years and still love it.
I have learned so much your videos Gideon. Thank you for taking your time to remind all us viewers why it’s so easy to still have confidence in this beautiful nation we live in! God bless!
Have you ever reviewed the Schrade schf38? For $35 you get an 11.15” long knife with a 5.75” long, 1/4” thick, Sabre ground, 1095 drop point blade. It’s a really good value.
I hope you’re staying in Idaho Falls for the fireworks tonight! Biggest and best show west of the Mississippi and in the top 5 in the nation! You won’t be disappointed!!
Awesome video, I really like things and stuff made in America,I like the original brands.I'm angry about most of the good brands are made in China, they want to be the leaders but they can't. Because the quality of China''s stuff is really different from USA quality!!!
I like a lot of TOPS stuff, but the 0.25" of thickness is too much for slicing. I am fine with 0.16" or 0.19". This isn't just their bigger blades, but also their smaller blades as well.
Only people in the world who feel the need to remind everybody else, how good they are and blah blah blah...If you feel the need to tell you're no1, you probably ain't.
Buck knives is an American company. But most of their knives are made in China. I bought a Buck Knives 864 ICEMAN pocket knife at Tractor supply store and it says made in China. I only paid $20.00 dollars for the knife. I can't afford expensive knives. I pay $20.00 dollars or less when I buy a knife. I buy all of my knives from both Walmart and Tractor supply store. But I guess you get what you pay for.
@@gideonstactical i hear you brother. It just felt like commercial to commercial to me. No big deal just letting you know how it came across to me. Many will disagree with me, I'm sure. I just want to keep it real cause i like your channel
I used to absolutely love Tops blades, I put my Bob through the ringer, UNTIL… the blade completely bent on me. So I started the whole customer service process. Long story short, I’ll never buy from this piece of shit company again. Absolutely garbage people and products.
At the end of the day. TOPS knives are always overpriced, for using 1095 almost exclusively. Don't get me started on the quality of their sheaths eith9. I own 6 or 7 TOPS & say they are *Always* overpriced with confidence.
