Three feature I like that are first for Mazda, on CX-50: hood struts (finally), panoramic moonroof (standard in Canada) and the ability to mirror the Android Auto / Apple CarPlay Navigation directions on the heads up display (Active Driving Display).
Are you sure Apple CarPlay directions are projected on the HUD?? Is there a way to turn this on? I recently bought a CX-50 and am not seeing CarPlay directions on the HUD.
@Amit Mukerji what phone are you using? android auto should be enabled and up to date. Also are you trying to connect wireless or by USB cable? If you're using the USB cable, make sure your phone is connected and paired to the vehicle (it will ask you to enter or match the 4 digit passcode on the screen, and then it will ask to sync contacts and on the phone it should bring up android auto.) If you're connected wireless via Bluetooth, simular procedure... you would have to enable Bluetooth on the phone and in the vehicle settings. Pair your phone to the vehicle, and then sync contacts. You can then open android auto on the phone and follow the on screen instructions.
Thanks for the video presentation. We appreciate it. I’m just waiting for my CX-50 GT Turbo and it’ll be replacing my beloved 4th gen Mazda3 GT hatchback AWD NA. If only I have the wherewithal to have both. But I simply can’t. Thanks again. 🙏

@@hokieplaya it does project it on my CX 50 on the HUD display
@@eleanormassaro5195 Yes, I see it project directions from Apple Maps but not Google Maps. Is it the same for you?
@@hokieplaya it only shows up for Apple maps, does not work for Google

Waiting for the CX-90…. More power and room.
The one to have will be the CX50 Meridian. Smaller wheels and beefier tires.
Sidewall seemed a bit small, especially on some of the larger rocks I slowly rolled over haha. Great vehicle, though.
@@RoadsUntraveled you were using the Turbo premium plus in the video... you should do the same video with the meridian.
Neat!
Mmm. A bit of dirt/gravel hill climb would have been nice; traction, clearance wise. You need a “Gold Mine Hill” trail for these. Nice spec. 🤙
The rear suspension is tough and the rear back seats can be felt there
It can tow 3500 pounds and handles very well. Don’t expect it to be soft lol.

No problem!
Base and Sport models? We currently only have GS-L and GT trims here in Canada.
YES I want one-- meridican-- with a FACTORY 1.5 inch LIFT and offroad tires... NO damn rack on top--(I don't need that).
I HATE the flippin panoramic roof--- that's STUPID- just a LEAK waiting to happen.. and NOT necessary.... I'm going to try to get mine WITHOUT one..
Stop saying “previous generation.” It’s all new this year.
Softer???? On the ride are you being truthful
This is easily my favorite compact SUV. It rides great and handles like a gem. Mazda nailed it. Of course i'm being truthful, silly question!
No actually.
w00t
We were all waiting for that fake engine noise
The problem is, it sounds really good haha
