The Cure are simply awesome, I love how stubborn they were in the early days, but in a good way, because they did THEIR stuff and didn't just make the music everybody loves back then to make money, they focused on the music, whether it was liked or not. Pretty tough that they mock the journalist in this funny way, same when they played A Forest longer at the Werchter Festival, although they weren't that well known back then. They rebeled to push their unique music style through. Awesome!
i,ve still got this track on an old c90 tape along with other gems i recorded off john peel with a crappy cassette recorder 30 years ago....those were the days.

Those who can, make art -- those who can't, write reviews . . .
The two dislikes belong to Paul Morley and Ian Penman.
Robert definitely getting something off his chest there. Even if nobody else knows what the hell it was.
Grindin halt....una de mis rolas preferidas...THE cure el numero uno....sin discusión
Buen...dominguin......
WONDERFUL!!!!!
I love this :) It's so splendid.
this is just great x)
Great pick! I always loved this song.
The Tantalising Enigma of the Cure
Ian Penman (NME) reviewed Three Imaginary Boys and slated it - this was Robert's response - a lot of the lyrics are straight quotes from the review.
brilliant!!!!
J'adore merci beaucoup 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
As John Peel Said on his show at the time "I think you mean Paul Morley boys".
yess
Clever and funny!!
that's what i thought too. it sounds alot like so what ( which suits the situation well ) and then the chorus from grinding halt. it's great :-)

OMG this is a gem!!! thanks for posted =D
I love how they deal with their haters. This is amazing!
fucking sick, never heard this one before but i love it!
YES!!!

wow, other lyrics, this is fucking great
this is so much better than the version on three imaginary boys
reminds me of Parklife
Apparently the title is about in response Paul Morely who gave Three Imaginery Boys a poor review. For anyone that's interested.
Lyrics about that nob Paul Morley - former NME journalist and 'talking head' on 100 best bogies on channel 4.
Fucking hell !!!❤❤❤
I prefer this to the studio version
LA CURA ...!!!
Grinding halt~
LOL @ him using the Journalist's quotes.

"No sound, no ppl!"
I WAS WONDERING ABOUT HTIS BUT THEY CUT OFF THE GUITAR BURP AT THE END
It's no wonder John L. hates him. "Cheap holiday in other people's misery"?
Ian Penman I think.
@JustRockin2Rock no its you tube
just geezed in my pants
...word salad....it's written by my friend, Ian Penman...
@TheQueenofDorks
Listen to a song called 'It's no Game' by David Bowie and see what you think.
