thanks for the love and support and as always,,,, THANKS FOR WATCHING!! - Розваги
i filmed this back in august which is why some things might look different lol
There are 2 more Lost boys movies... oh and Fright Night 2 ??
If your enjoying you 80s horrors you should try out an American werewolf in London 💪
Fright night two wasn't bad acc
Lost Boys is an 80's classic! Great cast of young faces, fabulous hair, amazing soundtrack, and cheesy lines galore!
Yeah, always loved the soundtrack. Hell, I still on occasion listen to it.
Yup I would've love to see dracula
RIP, Joel Schumacher, Director
Corey Haim, Sam
Bernard Hughes, Grandpa
Edward Hermann, Max
Richard Donner, Producer.
Without them, this movie would not have been made
Don't forget Mike Chapman, cinematographer. He worked on Taxi Driver. Either Kiefer Sutherland (David) or Jason Patric (Michael) noted that they were lucky to get him.
Brooke McCarter, Paul
Jeffrey Boam, Co-writer
"Passive-aggressive friendship from the start"
This would be the first team up of 'the two Coreys' (Feldman and Haim). Some are better than others 😅, but those boys certainly deserved better than what Hollywood did to them.
RIP to Corey Haim
💯. So sad
I was one of those who recommended this to you, so I'm glad that you reacted to it and that you enjoyed it. You've now reacted to two of my three favourite vampire films of the 1980s; this and _Fright Night_ (1985). The third is _Near Dark_ (1987), which was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, an Oscar-winning director and my favourite female director of all time.
Near Dark is a great call, was gonna mention that. The Hunger and Lair of The White Worm are also good... Can't believe she doesn't like 80s music though, each to their own I guess😁
R.I.P. Joel Schumacher
Traditional Vampires didn't require to die by the bite, although that also works.
They can feed a victim their blood and turn them.
Awesome. Near Dark is also a very good 1987 vampire movie.
Total different take on vampires. Fantastic movie
Jamie Gertz the woman who plays Star is the richest actor. She is part owner of a basketball team and has a net worth of 3 billion dollars
She also produced the film "A Better Life", starring Demian Bichir.
A couple of other Vampire flicks that I like as well, are "Near Dark" & " Let Me In". Different vibe as this and "Fright Night". More serious in tone.
And.....I really like your channel's intro. Gives a bit of the old weekly TV monster movie program vibe..
While we're on the topic of movies that have a Goonies vibe and has a Vampire, The Monster Squad is a fantastic movie to check out.
I had to drop a like before I even watched because we got the same scream mask on our wall😂
Old Hoot saves the day! I've been waiting for this reaction. So happy we finally got it. The Lost Boys has 2 sequels and comic books. In the comics Grandpa is revealed to be a vampire and we get more Frog brothers. 🐸
One of the best vampire movies ever and the soundtrack is amazing too especially the iconic theme song Cry little Sister 🤘🤘
Love this film! If you want a campier, cheaper, and more obscure vampire film to check out, I recommend I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle. You'll never get what it's about! 😂
If you look into the lore of vampires, one of their greatest abilities is to cast hypnosis onto their victim's minds by creating false belief, illusions, and causing temporary mental illness.
The Surf Nzs are the guys that David and the others kill on the beach while Michael watched from the tree. They are also part of the backstory for the horrible Lost Boys The Tribe movie. The main vampire in that movie was one of those guys and David allowed him to live. It was in a comic that tied the two movies together. The dummy in the background of the comic store is an animatronic that dances and sings. There is a blink and you'll miss it moment of it during the opening montage. This comic store was a real store on the boardwalk and still exists. but it moved to a new location.
These vampires actually glitter too, just on the inside. It's very noticeable on an HD copy of the movie after the Frog bros. stake Marco. As they go out into the sun, they are covered with vampire blood and glittering like crazy. After the Goonies was a hit, Warner Bros. wanted another hit movie involving kids. Richard Donner, who directed the Goonies, passed on it and it went to Joel Schumacher. The original script involved vampire kids on an adventure. but Schumacher ordered the script changed and we got this movie. Schumacher also felt since the movie was called The Lost Boys, then the movie should be all about boys. There were originally 3 female actresses in the movie. Lucy, Star and the girl that worked at the video store with the mom. Lucy tried to set Michael up on a blind date with a girl from her workplace. But Michael doesn't show up. These scene were never shot, because Schumacher decided that 2 women would be enough. You can still see this actress in the background of the video store. Especially when David and the gang come in and they go up to her in the background when Max is telling them to leave. there were supposed to be more clues about Grandpa's background and what he was really doing when he would go out at night. A comic series reveals more in that David actually survived. Also the Widow Johnson was a head vampire as well. David and the Widow Johnson team up. Grandpa had been turned into a half vampire and the root beer bottles he tells the guys not to drink from are actually filled with the blood of the animals he does taxidermy on. Whenever he goes out he's on the hunt for the widow Johnson to stake her and make him human again. This is why he just shows up at the end of the movie. He knows something was up because there is no way the widow Johnson would have called him. The events of the comics are not fully canon due to the stories being heavily exaggerated by Edgar Frog. Some bits do show up in the parts 2: The Tribe and 3: The thirst. We learn Alan is now a vampire but so is Sam. but several things had to be retconned for part 3 because of Corey Haim's death.
You gotta watch Interview with a Vampire if you haven't seen it, answers a vampire question you had in this reaction about children :D
Glad you enjoyed this movie 👍🏼
It is an indisputable fact that the 80s were the best decade to grow up.
"What is that ooey gooey???"
🤣🤣🤣
Did you notice that Marko's blood goop was full of glitter? The original sparkly vampire!
Check out Fright Night (2011) starring Colin Farrell
Happy New Year 🎆🎈🎊
The music of this movie truly sets the tone. Haunting, cool, sexy, monstrous.
Grandpa informs the Frogs that he is only a half vampire, and he feeds on animals in order to stay that way. When they ask him why killing Max did not restore his humanity, he tells them it is because Max didn't turn him, but The Widow Johnson did.
I didn’t hear that in the dialogue…
But would make sense.
@@Johne.8250It wasn't in the film, it is in the comics/literature.
underwaterflowers I just watched a "Vampire Movie" called "Night Trap" (1992)🤣
Fun fact...Cory and Kiefer went straight from stand by me, on the strength of their performances, to this. And I still sing karaoke , the opening song, and "Mary Mary, ur on my mind!" " The remake song of the Doors, is done by one of the greatest 80s groups ever, Echo and the Bunny men! This movie had a huge impact on me and movies! The looks dress hair talk soundtracks violence, u name it! I pretty much fashioned my teens and 20s on this movie! Keifer and Corey almost didn't get this movie. They were both in stand by me, and still under post production creds. "Death by stereo!". Best movie line ever!
People are Strange, done by Echo and the Bunnymen, a early serious electronica techno band, before electronica was a thing! Bit the lead singer had a serious, im bigger than Jesus, complex, and hated Bono and U 2 , with a passion! Once u invite a vampire in to ur house, all the ways to unveil a vampire, fail.
If Julia Roberts didn't get all the female lead roles in the 80s and 90s, jamie Gertz was next up! Plus she had a great TV show!
The film beggars belief not because of vampires existing or that so many people in a community go missing or are killed, but rather because a sea of 80s teens are totally hype for sax solos at a beach concert.
Good job keep on doing what you doing
Funny enough my Husky looks exactly like that dog, loll. R.I.P. Corey Haim great kid actor, met him before he passed away. He wasn't doing too well either. I was able to tell he was on drugs when I got his autograph.
The Lost boys is one of the greatest vampire films *EVER IN POP CULTURE HISTORY!* 🧛🦇
Check out NEAR DARK (1987) too. That one came out same year as LOST BOYS, but went under the radar. That one's another late 80s vamp flick that did something different with bloodsuckers and it has three actors from ALIENS (1986) in it.
A great review of a great film, albeit from back in the late '80s.During production, the filmmakers approached the singer/musician Tim Cappello asking for permission to use his song, I Still Believe, in the film. He agreed, but only if he performed it live for the film. That is how you get to see a genuine singer at the beach party, singing his song in real-time. A priceless scene, but there's no mention of his charge for doing it. One other small fact: Grandpa's house, for the external shots, was a real property that, until at least recently, was still standing, although fenced off and unapproachable, as probably falling apart a bit by now.
Now you MUST watch the 1987 vampire movie NEAR DARK!!!!! This movie was released almost two months are THE LOST BOYS the same year.
They never transition into bats in this movie. When they were flying in those scenes that were from their view it was the same flight that David and Micheal were doing in their fight at the end.
One of my favorites movies since early childhood, I originally saw with my older half brother and sister at a friends of theirs when it first came out on vhs, I share my first and middle name with the two main characters Michael and David
Good ups.
I think two strong vamp films for you would be Blade 1998 and Interview With the Vampire 1994.
The genre has some decent variation. Films to consider from the Vamp spectrum.
The Night Flier (1997, Stephen King adaptation, slow pace)
Lifeforce (1985, space vamps)
Dracula Dead and Loving It (1995, silly vamps)
What We Do in the Shadows (vampumentary)
Underworld (2003, matrix style look, vamps and werewolves, action)
Kiefer Sutherland was also Lieutenant Jonathan James Kendrick in A few good men as well as Athos in 1993's the three musketeers' just to name a few of his other roles. He is the son of Donald Sutherland who at the moment is best known for his role as president Snow in the hunger games trilogy.
The song you were vibing with at the end was from the 60s. Stand by me should be added.
However, that particular cover of it (by Echo & The Bunnymen) is contemporary to the movie. I think they really did justice to The Doors with it.
@@0okamino they certainly did, I never caught that.
Great pick Flor. This is one of my favorite vampire movies from the 80's. I also love the demonic vampire Make up they gave them, it's amazing. Another reason why you might have got Goonies vibes from this movie is because Edgar Frog also played Mouth in Goonies remember? 🐸
The third movie will introduce you to the first. He or She is the longest running vampire there was. It's one of those movies that will make you avoid a rave party, never know what those party drugs being offered really are.
Next, you should watch the other super 80s Vampire classics: The Hunger (with David Bowie!), and Near Dark (directed by Katherine Bigelow, the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director).
greatest vampire film of ALL TIME
80's music so much better than today's music
There is also a second fright night movie that is pretty good called Fright Night 2 New Blood.
Great Thomas Newman score.
The best Vampire movie. You should check out NEAR DARK.
I met Billy Wirth (death by stereo)last year he was super cool guy
I want to stop on a random trip to Santa cruz boardwalk where it was filmed.
underwaterflowers Given that you are engaged it would be fun to see you react to Tom Hanks first film "He knows you're alone" (1980).
Is that before Mazes & Monsters? 🤔
@@LordVolkov "Mazes and Monsters" (1982)
The vampires in the movie have superhuman strength at night, but during the day they are weaker than when they were humans.
I love this movie in my opinion this is one of my favorite Vampire movies ever this and Fright Night both 🙌🦇, also if I can recommend another vampire movie check out this one called From Dusk Till Dawn if you want a gory vampire movie Lol 👍
Holy $#** The Attack Of Eddie Munster

Grandpa for the clutch. :)
Fun movie.!
Late to the vid; this movie is the iconic 80's vampire movie, but I think the best vampire movies are Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) with Keanu Reeves, and Interview With a Vampire with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Bram Stokers is a work of art, but both those movies are worth reacting to! The Lost Boys sequels are not very good IMO. Cheers!
Near Dark (1987)
Yes, so good!
they really didnt need Star or the kid, they could have just had the older brother seduced to the vampire life by David (the guy from 24), would have made their final battle more meaningful too
Oh I loved this movie so much when I first watched it (10 years old as probably too young but what the hell). And the soundtrack is superb, that cassette got worn out more than the VHS.
the first CGI movie was jurassic park in 1992. before that it was either practical effects or bad green screen.
Cory Feldman was in a bunch of 80's classics Lost Boys,Goonies,Gremlins,Friday The 13th part 4,Stand By Me...He freakin killed Jason!
It was my first vampire movie ever watched was not expecting it to be ultraviolent especially at the fire scene you know you know scared me to death the first time I watched it The age of 13 on accident flipping through the channels back in the day still a very good movie it was one of my favorites for the one liners in this movie and other things I love the misdirect for the plot twist that you were talking about! if you want another interesting vampire movie everybody's commenting near dark is also a very good 1987 vampire movie it's an interesting concept!
I think the car you noticed that could be the 1950s cars.
Loved your reaction!
About the lack of a lot of gore and special effects, it's because the studio didn't have any faith in the project and only gave them a budget of $8.5 million (about $22 million today). To put that in perspective, The Goonies came out two years previous and had a budget of $19 million.
I think this is the first of the Corey movies (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman collaborations)
The doors was the music you like.
There doing a remake which should come out next year or the next. It has Noah in it, the boy from Stranger Things
pls check out: "the fearless vampire killers (1967)" it's my absolute favorite vampire movie of all time. Don't be put off by the age of the film, it is an absolute masterpiece.
Interview with the vampire would be my 2nd choice. 😘
2:30 Marilyn Manson does a pretty great cover of the theme song
Wrong hand sign 🤘
Have you watched Blade?
i have not👀
@@underwaterflowers Please do.
Filmed in Santa Cruz CA. baby
I need your reaction on the two “Lost Boys” direct-to-video sequels “The Tribe” from 2008 and “The Thirst” from 2010. So could you please watch the two sequels and then post your reaction on UA-cam as soon as possible?
First time watching you. Loved your reaction and glad you liked it.This is definitely a cult classic and one of my all time favorites....personally I would not give part 2 and 3 a shot...garbage!
Has she seen Monster Squad yet?
Check out near dark 1987 a great underrated vampire movie you might enjoy.
This looks like a decent movie!
"you forgot" ooops
I have watched several reaction videos for this movie... NO ONE recognizes Max
This movie couldn’t be anymore 80s if it tried
I remember trying to get into the cinema to see this. But i was too young. 80s , loved the 80, great films great times no woke bs , you could have humor. Great actors . So sad for corey 😢
I can tell you are a Gen z all day. The 80s was the best. And aint nothing wrong with a man looking at women he finds beautiful. That these wierd" dont look at me little girls of this era.
cant figure out you accent, English is nuanced. cool review
? 80s music is best music
You just got schooled on eights music yes?
Edit.. you just got schooled on all music that is good..not just from the eighty's (could have mispelled that)
Your welcome to your option but music today sucks
I’ve never cared for this movie. All the 80’s aesthetic and cheese ruin any horror aspects of this movie for me. ‘Twas a pleasure watching you react to it though. Been following you about a year now and have shared you with friends.
Cgi sucks back then when did make effects and robot anamotronics was way better than CGI.
Im45 and I have been thru every vampire movie and series and fads......and the lost boys imo is TOP 5 vampire movies of all time .....the music the characters the setting.....IMO PERFECT IN EBERY WAY...I just wished they had more backstop to the characters....but whatever.....everything else about the movie was and is PERFECT
They said micheal 118 times in this movie 😂
i really need to start writing down everyone’s names when i watch a movie lol🥴😂
