You are wrong about Riddler's Revenge being the first stand up at magic mountain, Shockwave was the first. Also, if you just been your knees a little when they lock the cars it is way more comfortable.
Shockwave wasn’t magic mountains first stand up. The ride was designed for another six flags park. Because of the ride rotation program, shockwave went to magic mountain first. However, the rides construction and permits are filed under a different six flags park. The coaster temporary ended up at magic mountain, because the company had no where else to put it during the program. Riddler was designed specifically for magic mountain.
I've been on all those rides except the carts and the kiddie ride. Viper was my favorite coaster back in the 1990's, but being an Arrow coaster, it's a tad on the rough side. It was designed by the legendary, Ron Toomer and cost $18 million. What blows me away now is how Tatsu TOWERS over Viper and the New Revolution.
Rob J It blows me away not seeing the iconic OG Colossus structure in the parking lot anymore. It never occurred to me that one day it could be gone. I think Six Flags should have worked to preserve that coaster. I think Colossus and Gold Rusher are two rides that should always be there, no matter what changes happen over the years.
Switching the Superman ride to run in reverse was the worst decision a park ever made. With the exception of a scant few boomerang coasters, there was no sensation in the world that equaled running upward at 100mph, hanging for a second or two, and then falling backwards. It was truly awesome. The launch backwards as the ride works now is just annoying, and the 90-degree drop facing forwards is now a feature on many hypercoasters, so it's nothing unique.
TheUselessPelican agreed. It honestly messed up my neck for a couple of days. When ever I go, if my friends really really wanna go, I make sure it's the last ride I get one. Or else it will killed the entire day
Guys, try to lean your head on one side of the bar. If you try to keep your head in the middle, it’s a lot harder to avoid your head bumping back and forth, and you just don’t enjoy the ride, bc you’re concentrating on not getting hurt. Trust me, I also got hurt multiple times on that ride. But leaning your head on one side of the restraints helps, bc you don’t get hurt. It’s just easier and you get to actually enjoy the ride.

Went back again in 2004 for my company’s annual picnic. Rode Riddler’s revenge for the first time and at night! Yeah pretty scary AF at the time. Viper was cool. I didn’t feel any head banging or pain that a lot of people complain about. At least nothing that was memorable anyway, and Colossus was Colossus to me and could do no wrong as far as I was concerned. People complained of roughness. Well I swear I didn’t feel anything. Again nothing that I could remember. Although I do remember that block break where the double down camel back used to be. That was not there before and it did make a different on the final course of the coaster as it slowed it down going around that corner on the inside.
If you position yourself correctly on RR you can stand perfectly fine. You have to hold the harness down slightly so the OTSR is just above or slightly touching your shoulder until they lock them. Last time I rode I even got slight floater airtime while standing. My left toes we're the only thing touching the floor.

Then I went back in 2012 at age 36 and took it - after the first inversion, I was very convinced that I was not coming off of that roller coaster alive. I had to recuperate at First Aid for an hour, then immediately headed home. I would never return to Magic Mountain again nor ride any roller coasters (except for one at Tokyo DisneySea in 2017).
Bro! I grew up going to sixflags and Superman was always closed! I’m now 31 an I just went back this year in March to finally ride Superman! I must say the ride was a blast! But i literally never got on it on my teen years! 😂😂 I honestly remember the day it open, but yeah 20 years later I had the chance to ride it.
I rode viper last time with my friends and I gotta say I held my head back and it was a pretty fun ride! No pain at all, only minor discomfort because I myself held my head back with kind of too much pressure the whole ride. But I guess it’s different for other people! I loved it and would ride it again
Riddlers revenge is such a dope ride but I hated riding it because of the dumb restraints. The worked fine for my brother and cousin but mine was hard to get to the right height for me and was stuck in an uncomfortable position the entire time.

I think the Cyclone 500 is getting a retheme, because of the new Urban LA themed area going under construction only a couple feet away from the ride. It is probably going to be West Coast Customs thememed, but thus is just a wild guess that I think will come true

Technically anything with wheels is female so I guess roller coaster are no exceptions but I never thought of them at female… except Wonder Woman. That’s a female. For instance Colossus would be male.. both versions. It’s way too massive and intimidating to be female but that is just me

There was a death on Batman the ride a guy climbed the fence to get his hat the train was running at full speed the train passed the guy he got kicked and died instant on the spot so yes there was a death at Batman the ride

Riddler is still one of the best coasters in the park. You just have to make sure to go a bit lower than you need to when they lock the restraints.
