Could not agree more! The game is absolutely insane. Haven't played since ritual really and I've went from thinking this game was overly complicated to now full on addicted like never after giving the game another shot years later.
I love what tattoo's do for the game. More player agency is great. That said while I hope it goes core I feel like it'll get stripped back a lot, like I somehow doubt we'll be getting a permanent way to get any keystone on the tree. I'm coping a little bit that they will because it's like a nerfed version of relics in sanctum. I would just love to see more tattoos that enable for interesting interactions/techs/builds/archetypes
disagree, economy is pretty garbage due to way too many currency printing mechanics that are unfortunattely in the "rich get richer" category especially Sanctum is absolutely destroying value of raw currency and any non chase items/materials so unless you are doing the superjuicing meta farm strategy or ultra optimized Sanctum it feels like your time spent is totally wasted
wtf ziz, best patch again ?! i like it the customization and even the chieftain rework, i miss the fire convert the most but 10 PPL made the best league wtf
Thats why I think tota should go core 100%. Even if 90% of players don’t like it the 10% that do now have a mechanic they can ply around every league. A lot of people don’t enjoy delving either but if a game has soooo many options how you can spend your time in the end game it’s perfect to add mechanics not for everyone. Because you still always hit a audience that likes auto battlers xD
i think you nailed it when describing the Atlas tree and that feeling of "oh man i wsh I had these nodes too" and "ok ill do this for a bit and then swap". I think that is a sign of great design and balance. This has been my fav league in quite some time
As a brand new player it's amazing. You get smacked with yet another passive tree as soon as you hit cap and there's a moment of "oh no oh god why." But then you do a little research and play around with it and goddamn is it amazing. I'm playing Impending Doom on a friend's rec and specced into Breach because right clicking to clear an entire screen full of dudes is amazing. And I've made some money! Then, last night I ran my first grand heist and it was great! Like the mechanic, rewards were amazing, and now I'm speccing into Heist as well because I find it fun and it's easy to fit inbetween breaches. Is this effective in terms of time spent? Probably not. But it's fun and I am making easy profit. But now that my build is coming mostly online I'm eyeing some of the boss nodes because those seem fun. Oh, but then Delerium pretty fun too. Also, Legion that seems cool. What about Blight maps? I wanna play more bloons. So many decisions and none of them seem wrong!
I felt a bit of this in the last league but the new nodes for legion, expedition, breach, & delerium are huge I think. I like the expedition mechanic but I avoided it because it takes too long. But I'm fine placing down one big bomb. No planning, just blast and go. Awesome! And I always felt the others were low value unless you were properly specced into them.
The performance is at the worst it has ever been. Cannot play deli or try any end game boss. I get killed by an invisible attack or degen that hasn't loaded yet. Still takes 1 minutes loading into towns or hideouts. All these problem were not present in 3.21.
@@Raysureeea I'm particularly fond of the way harvest beast numbers don't update until after you press the button. The missing floor textures are really a fun new feature too though.
I wholeheartedly agree, if I run deli + ritual my fps is in the ground. I love heist but it is impossible to run this league due to 5 minute loading times with vulkan and even then 80% of the map and monsters are invisible. DX11 is terrible for amd and DX12 crashes frequently. I have enjoyed every bit of the league but it just makes me not want to play sometimes.
Have a 13900k and have to run the game on efficiency cores only to not crash the game with decompress issues. So even high ends are having issues cause the game can’t handle their feequency
@@Straggler8 Yeah I have GFN now too as it's the only way I can play and even on it it isn't amazing performance (unless you have the ultimate tier I assume) especially for the first while you open the game, everything loads super slow because of preloading and the loading screens are slow too so I frequently get missing textures for a while :(
I want to emphasis on the HC trade economy point Ziz mentioned. So many streamers not playing SSF really made HC trade a lot better this time around. Usually at this point in the league there is just nothing left to trade for because its just to few high level players. Its great to see an actual healthy economy. Hope you guys will play more HC trade in the future!
As much fun as it is to specialize your build to certain atlas strats I really wish Atlas tree progression would be account wide but skill allocation would be character based.
@@zulazhar1259 Not too sure how i feel, on one hand would be extremely nice QoL, but the other, you basically will never need to change ur tree again, youll be able to get pretty much anything with 2 trees and this removes the constant changing and altering your tree bit by bit as your focuses change which is quite fun and enjoyable in itself, just not nice for full atlas tree resets
The league mechanic itself is absolute dogshit in my opinion, it is incredibly unbalanced and just not fun at all, tattoos however are so good and give so many possibilities that i hope the mechanic goes core The game itself is in a fun state right now, the atlas tree makes playing whatever you want incredibly fun
I personally like the mechanic but only in small bursts. Grinding it for hours on end bores me to death, but then again it's similar for other out of map mechanics for me. Such as delve etc. Either way I do enjoy it
I'd be happier if i didn't have insane loading screens. Edit: i appreciate your attempts to help but i've tried pretty much everything, also not a leek, i work on computers.
I'd be happier if they reduce half the maps quantity and made the other half twice as big, shit's mostly linear and the feeling of exploring zones definitely dries out on the 1-10 scenarios
@@Robot-Overlord @Duskillaz I'll be happy to let you know that my game is installed on a nvme that's even separate to my OS to increase performance. Without any luck. I've changed shaders, reinstalled the game, cleared caches, nothing makes much of a difference. Loading times go down when i just keep grinding the same map, then i spawn semi-instantly like i used to last league. But this all starts again when the game restarts, like it always builds new shaders.
The tattoos are awesome for making travel node so much more valuable. With the option to vender for different ones with the current patch just added more value to it. The trials are great for someone like me that prefer to have a slower pace option.
Yup, i don't think they should nerf thr total limit of tattooe too. Just nerf the op ones or limit them. Like, proj speed? You can nerf them to half value or limit them to 5-10
idk what i'm doing wrong, i hate this league so much i played crucible league way more and got a couple mirrors but i don't even want to go for one in tota
FPS stuttering for me makes the game unplayable. It was fine when I left with a month to go last league but something has changed and it hasn't been my hardware:/ Turning off multithreading fixes it until there is too much on the screen:(
I feel like the last 3 leagues have all been absolute bangers. A lot of it is in that the base game is the best state it's ever been (and getting better), but also all of the "temporary power" they're adding. Each league feels different. Sanctum had it's Relics, Cruicible it's weapon trees (which led to some unreal awesome builds), and now we have tattoos. I love the power they're adding while not letting it stay league after league.
Eeeeh, for me crucible was pretty mediocre, it simply didn't have anything at all at the low-end, so it just failed to hook me. TotA at least has fun gameplay.
@@mr_oger i used it in the low end to make a bow that would cost like 70 divines in this league for less than 5, i would say it was far better for low end compared to tota, also you could easily get something like +100 str to fix your gear with very minimal effort with less downsides than tota tattoos, the mechanic was ass though
my pc literally turned off because i got an acceleration shrine + spell echo shrine while having a 300 divine spark build and my fps dropped all the way down to 1 due to holding down the right mouse button for 3 sec, resulting in le pc crash, so I really do hope they optimize the game more due to the sheer amount of screen clutter that so many builds have
The League is absolute 10/10 sadly not only where there server problems but many had performance problems since the performance patch and the fixes they tried have not worked for all of us. I for one still can't play "smoothe" since my fps drop to 0 every couple seconds and the game tries to fry my CPU, i had no problems in other leagues and even got more RAM for this one but sadly it still has issues.
This is my first league back since the Atlas rework and that's what I've loved most. Being able to spec into different nodes to see which strategies I like best has taught me a lot about the older and newer mechanics. ToTA isn't really for me, the rewards are good but it also can be pretty frustrating at times, far more than any other league mechanic I've played. Overall the league is pretty solid, despite not being a huge fan of the mechanic.
I feel you on the frustration aspect. The only times I lose matches are when my defenders decide to afk instead of knocking enemies off my totems. Otherwise I have like a 90% winrate. But RNG always gotta fuck you at some point in PoE lmao
Fun basegame but never got into TOTA. Takes forever to kill something, and then get oneshot in return. Nothing to gain at lower ranks and ranking up is a slog, assuming it only gets worse with the damage sponges and oneshots the higher you go.
As a new player, i literally cant stop playing. Ita one of the best games ive ever played, and having so much fun finding all this stuff in the game! Every hour or so, some entirely new crazy deep system is opening up for me and ita crazy! I fuckin love it 👌
I'd say this was the first league in the last several years where I really dove into the game. After D4, I really wanted to play an ARPG that had meaningful endgame. I've been playing PoE on and off for years back since it was originally released and played when things like the lab was first launched so most of my POE hours were in the earlier stages of the game and early leagues like breach, perandus, prophecy, etc. and mostly on hardcore so my characters were short lived. This league gave me the opportunity to really deep dive back into the game and try all of the mechanics and bosses that I had never seen before. This was my first time ever killing shaper/elder, exarch, eater of worlds, sirus, maven, etc... First time seeing things like sanctum, first time properly doing heists and 80% delirium mapping. First time seeing the atlas passive tree and being able to customize my own gameplay experience. First time trying crafting with synth/fractured bases and harvest. The game just had so much to offer and I think that D4 lacking a solid endgame really helped me appreciate the depth of what POE offers to its players which is what has kept me going since league launch.
I think the best part of Tota is that it helps people that aren't great at maximizing different currency options to be able to farm currency as they'll see them listed specifically in the reward options
The amount of possible atlas setups and farming strategies is amazing and I constantly feel like even though i've only done 100 maps of a strategy I already wanna swap to something else because it's so cool
Being a fairly new player, I can't really compare state of the game to the past. But number one wish (that prob sadly never happens) for me would be inventory autosort and the option to send all currency items to the stash with one click. That feature in Last Epoch is such a nice QoL that I really wish PoE had that, because otherwise I enjoy the game lot more.
I think we all need to admit that while Kalandra felt bad (i actually had a good time) Some of the changes made there were laying the foundation for how good the game is now. I'm loving it & don't plan to stop any time soon. Have a bunch more I want to get done.
Atlas tree is amazing this patch. Its also casual friendly. People I know were able to generate decent currency to gear up their character just by following the simplest atlas strats for their play style.
Saved templates for atlas passives would be really cool. Just name it, save it, and switch between, and it could just give a warning 'this will cost etc. To swap' click yes and done.
Tattoo should definitely go core, I love my +1 to skill Tattoo, and I love the dilemma of stats vs boisterous, or changing a+10 to +4all... it's SO nice for cheap budget builds to solve stats. I think there is a little for everybody.
I'm glad that people who can play are enjoying the league. I really am. I am genuinely confused by their almost complete lack of communication regarding the performance patch and the issues many people have been having, though.
It's literally the number one listing in their "Known Issues" forum thread. It even has its own separate comment for it alone. So they are definitely working on it, my guess is they can't replicate the issue on their hardware. It seems to really depend on your exact specs, as my performance this league has been amazing.
@@silvermunkee Yes. That single sentence has been pinned there for a month now. It would, for example, be useful to update the post with what has already been excluded as the cause. Like clarifying whether or not the game still has the same system requirements as before, since a lot of people seem to believe that is the problem (even though it's clearly not, but try arguing with people on the internet, right?).
I bought a 6750XT this league, I get half the FPS i got with my rx580 last league, while the entire point of their performance patch was to offload stuff onto the GPU. So why the fuck am i constantly dropping into single digit FPS In deli orb maps GGG.
Normally Ive been dropping every league after 1-2 weeks when reachign endgame. This one somehow kept me motivated for way longer than all others before but I cant pinpoint why. One improvement Id like to see for the atlas tree though is, that every new character has its own atlas tree so you can have one dedicated boss farmer and one breach and legion farmer for example without having to spend tons of unmakings.
Market Inflation also reflects positively towards player retention and player satisfactory. The best two leagues for the past year saw the biggest inflation of all time in POE.
I haven't played a league this long before. We are weeks into the league and I STILL can't wait to get the opportunity to play again each day after work and after family time.
So in agreement on the Atlas tree, I constantly respec and try different things and feel "I should have done that" every time :) Would have been awesome with templates for people who enjoy different characters built for different farming methods. Great league and patch so far, as always - cant wait for next league!
I am really enjoying alch and go options. The new keystones are nice, I’d like to see them changed/modified each league to offer something new and interesting. For instance, maybe instead of one explosive for expedition, you get two explosives that give you 150% extra quantity to the selected area.
The only thing I wish I could do on the atlas is character specific trees. I have 2 characters right now and it feels like I can't go play one of them due to my atlas being catered to a farming strategy for my stronger character. I really wish I could swap even half the atlas tree.
I would highly appreciate each character having their own atlas tree. As long as you have unlocked the points by progressing your atlas, your alt can use the same amount to spec in what they are good at. My two characters don't have the same strengths.
@@LordAnublz not really. I regularly change what content I want to run on my main, so they can keep the cost for changes. But each charrie should have their own initial starter atlas tree separate from one another..
My dude, i work 9h a day in a shipyard, building aluminium 🚢, and i pass my time with like 4h afters work of PoE ! So many fun builds this time around! I had my worries about the path that GGG was taking, but i see the results now! I can only imagine the day they fix melee !! Still sad that PoE2 will be a stand alone.... ;-
Idk if you know or not but when you click your UA-cam video to watch on your phone and before you go to full screen, either the editor of this video or UA-cam does you dirty with subtitles and it says “hi it’s scissoring here”
GGG has been firing on all cylinders. I too am very much enjoying everything. The Atlas Passive that added random bosses to each boss makes Rare and Go mapping WAY better.
My only issue with the game is the absurd amount of latency spikes that happen later in the night, I work from home so I can still play during the day but, my friends who I'm trying to show the ropes to, are only available at nightime and the South American server starts to die after 8PM, you log in, load an area and as soon as I open my stash or inventory, BOOM 20~50000ms all the way until at least 1 AM. Kinda hard to keep the boys playing when everyone keeps disconnecting ;-;
Biggest boost to retention? D4 being shallow as a baby pool. D4 lured a whole new mass of players into the genre, and now they are looking to get their fix elsewhere. Every other ARPG benefits. D4 streamers switching primarily to POE during the lull has undeniably helped as well.
GGG nailed it with this patch in content and also with timing, especially when Blizzard let everybody down with D4. Last time I'v played this much was in Delve. Oh, Apothecary drop in the first week might'v also boosted my motivation a bit.
I might get hunted down for this but i really enjoyed kalandra it gave me a chance to learn many new mechanics. I finally learnt basic crafting of how to make any generic 6 item that doesn't have some weird special modifier like hunter slams. I learned how to actually use the betrayal board I learned how you should actually go around getting your resistances starting with the hard to change pieces first and then moving to the more adjustable ones. I used to do that backwards. And I was actually able to like gather wealth. before I could hit tier 16s but everything was a struggle and I had to buy completed rares. having that off league meant I learned a lot. The lake still sucked ass though
@@DeedlyDood I should of mentioned I got 7200 hours xD I aren't a noobie I just was always focused on the actual league because if I dont engage with it why am i not in standard sort of logic
I think the game feels so good because just the ease of access to powerful currency. Maybe I just got better as a player, but I really didn't hit end game PoE until delirium league, and back then I would have like maybe 100 chaos and 5 exalts at the end of the league. I of course, never felt comfortable actually using this on the hopes that I would bank more currency to trade for the items I really wanted which would typically cost 20-50 exalts. I have played this league casually, after work maybe like 3 days/week for 3hrs on average. I have accrued over 100 divines, mostly from tota, invitations, and just farming t16 maps "alch and go." It just feels so good to not really have to follow a guide, play pretty casually with a badly optimized build and still be able to experiment and use currency to make wonky builds. My raider rn barely has enough dex to equip items because I tattooed movement speed. It doesn't really help me clear faster but running fast feels good.
This is definitely the most fun and motivated I’ve felt in quite a while. When I’m done on a session I’m itching to get back on. I really really really hope they keep the mechanic the tattoos everything GGG DO IT.
NGL, I've levelled from low 80s to 99 on purely ToTA. The exp isn't as bad as people say for people who aren't either speed-farming or buying levels. It's the highest level I've ever gotten, and I've been playing since beta. And it's very likely I hit 100.
I'm not enjoying the league mechanic as much as I'd like, but that's a me problem. I'm happy that there are a ton of creators having fun in HC trade, it's made watching much more enjoyable.
I went back to PoE after 3 years break. And when I saw the Atlas passives with all the options you can have to customize the specific mechanics or straight up deleting them from the game, i literally came. To a conclusion that this is THE BEST ARPG ever. I played Diablo 4 for a while and holy shit this game isn't even 10% of what PoE is in the endgame.
I think the good player retention has also a lot to do with D4 being so bad and people appreciating how good PoE is compared to D4. Sometimes you need a bad comparator to see the good things in stuff you have been getting used to.
Only my second league but have made more progress than I thought was possible with how much I still am learning about the games numerous systems; was actually able to make more currency than ever before and made the transition to TS Deadeye which I wasn't even planning at league start. Amazing game glad D4 early access opened my eyes to PoE
Had poe since early access, tried playing it a few times, just couldn't get on with it, Buuuuuut decided to give it another go, take my time really get a feel for it, and I love it great game, and not so scary if you just take a step back and look at it like the piece of gaming art it is.
I’ve had Thai game for years and never could get past the start. Finally watched your EA guide and fallowed it. I’m having a blast I even though i still have no clue what’s going on
I really love the structure of the Atlas tree, what I don't like is how hard it is to completely respec it. It's annoying to need to buy 70+ orbs of unmaking to be able to respec.
Agreed. Would love if you could have like 3 templates and swap between them at any point, and then maybe make unmakings like triple as expensive/rare... so then if you aren't satisfied with any of the 3 templates you've made THEN that's when you have to pay out the a$$.
Yeah I really wish that atlas passives were character specific while atlas progression was account wide.. Ideally i'd like to be able to make a character and just be able to instantly build out the atlas passive tree that I want depending on the type of content I plan on doing with that specific character without having to constantly respec or being faced with the grind of completely refilling your atlas on every character to unlock passives.
Agreed with the base state of the game being incredible right now. As good as it's ever been. My progress overall is so slow because I am doing little bits of everything during end game. TotA is not my kinda mechanic, but there is SO much else to enjoy that I am still excited each time I login.
I'm so glad I started in this league. I'm LOVING the game thus far about to finish Act 10 and have only interacted with the league mechanic once at a very low level and got owned > > looking forward to trying it after finishing the story
when a league is ok, I usually play 2-4 weeks then I quit. When its great I play 3-6 weeks. then I quit. Right now, I'm not even thinking of that because I actually want to try different atlas nodes. I'm still only around rank 400 in tota and I actually enjoy it. I can see myself playing longer than 6 weeks this time around
For the Atlas passive tree, I agree that it is great to spec into specific aspects of league content. However.... I would love if the Atlas passive tree was unique per character. I love playing Delve, and I will devote a character to the pursuit of getting deeper and deeper into the mine. On the other hand... I don't want to just brick my league content into only Delve. It would be great if I could have a Character specialized into Delve and then another character that really just loves smashing through Legion and Breach. I think it's unreasonable to expect a massive respec when you want to jump between league content.
I've been playing hardcore trade all season and it's been a blast, only issues being with all the streamers getting rich on trade upgrades for my build are way too expensive for a casual dad gamer like me. Still having a great time even with 4 deaths xD
Ziz thanks for the content. That being said I`m a new player to POE when it came out, it did not hook me. Then tried it again after D4 was such a let down and before you know it I through money at my screen which I never do. So I spent more on this game than any other in years. Now I'm a little bummed. The wall is hard for new player and its not the passive tree. The economy is so slanted to POE vets, streamers and the hardcore. I still do really like the game. The time investment for currency is so jacked if you want to build with reasonable time investment. To me it feels only good for folks like you. I know I`m a casual but I'm the casual who will in the end put in 1ks of hours if I like a game even with my bust schedule. For me it feels to scudded to you folks and it makes sense you really like this how things feel. Im sure at some point I will get there but man it is a mountain to climb. Anyhow you have been very helpful. Thank you
Hi Ziz, in my opinion this is the most fun mechanic I've played so far. I love to do TotA, and to the drop buff you dont feel actually that you are missing currency (or too much) and the game compensates with the fun of the arena style. I love it.
ive never played poe league DAILY before this league. usually i minmax one or two builds, kill ubers then quit. this time around there is so much to do. and the kicker is that i didnt even try the league mechanic yet. that should tell you how solid and varied the endgame is. next on my list is farming sanctum. its crazy that mapping isnt the only (and best) endgame activity anymore. usually i find it tedious having to do so many things to make maps juiced before running. now i can just buy tomes and binge run sanctums if i want, or buy silver coins and live in tota. def top tier league, probably on par with ultiamtum for me.
My favorite League was Ultimatum. I know people hated it, but my build was PERFECT for it. Exsanguinate Trickster with Unleash support. One click would clear MULTIPLE SCREENS and give me so much health I was literally immortal. I'll never be able to play that build ever again.............
i doubt they'll ever let soulbound items go core unless it's in the core drop pool, and that wouldn't be very interesting. [because otherwise the league mechanic - sanctum - would feel mandatory to cap your character, and not everyone enjoys that; furthermore it would favorize builds that are meta for sanctum]
Playing RF jug and bought forbidden flesh/flame for a jug ascendancy notable. Don't judge me. So much fun... Free time destroyed. My death counter is broken. Never had this few deaths. Crafted and sold a lot of my own gear.
What do you think about the insane inflation of the SC trade economy? Most of the chase uniques right now are significantly more expensive than ever before, which requires more grind for players not giga-juicing maps.
sanctum way too competitive considering it doesnt have atlas and the cost is nothing, tomes need to be harder to find i think or divine drops in sanctum nerfed
As a somewhat casual POE player and a hardcore Diablo fanboy, I have longer retention this season because I'm super disappointed that I'm not getting my dopamine hit from Diablo 4.
the atlas tree is by far the best made thing in the game, when its someones first league, and they can make their own atlas tree not knowing anything and still have success, you know its just amazing. there isnt a single other part of the game that is as balanced/well made as that imo
I have my strongest character ever in this league currently. Tattoos are my budget omni for tornado shot. The league mechanic is whatever but the rewards are phenomenal.
I wish i had different atlas trees for characters, id play longer if i had a clear build to zoom maps one day, my delve build to delve another day, i dont make enough to respec everyday, other than that i really like where the games at
Having sanctum back makes the league so much more fun, it's amazing they brought it back, it's especially great for SSF since it gives us a way to target farm divines and exalts to a lesser extent. Fully agree with you that it's a good thing league content doesn't automatically go core, it's healthy to have a pause for a league and reevaluate it and see if it's good for the long-term health of the game. The changes to the Atlas tree were so great, like you said it's always a heart-breaking choice to decide what content you run (especially with the new keystones they added). You can def tell the choices are hard by looking at my Orbs of Unmaking stack in my stash tab haha.
To be fair no one will top Quin on the "this league mechanic is trash" count. I'm sure someone could clip him saying that every league mechanic is bad at some point, despite this he says he loves PoE.
I'm still playing this league, so I feel it's pretty good. I usually stop in a week or two. Maybe because I found a nice fun build. Elementalist frozen BV
I personally don't enjoy league mechanics where you HAVE to have a high level to even have a remote chance at success. If a mechanic is going to show up in the first zone of the game, it should be playable to completion at that level of the game. It's one of the reasons I enjoyed Delirium as much as I did. Sure, it was chaotic and difficult but it was a "the more you kill the more you earn" which is a fantastic thing for an ARPG to have. I've tried TotA again at higher levels and it's still not super fun to me. Any game mechanic where I have to rely on AI almost more than my own skill is annoying. The rewards are awesome, but I feel like the respawn timers need some tweaking such as "After X amount of deaths the respawn timer is double/tripled" to make sure players can be more active in it.
It’s a 9/10 for me, the only thing that would have bumped it to 10 would have been hinakora as a cool pinnacle boss but otherwise could not be enjoying it more, but I’m a tota enjoyer.
I really like the economy, stuff feels valuable. I love the fractured drops from rares. the atlas tree is the best thing they added in the game imo. ascendancies choices are rough, like chiftain has basically 2 good points and the rest is "ok which one is the least useless." tattoos are awesome, I would love limited to 10 just because of warrior's tale. I do love/hate that it makes your character more unique, so you can't just go "I'll reroll a juggernaut instead of champion now that I've got great gear and just transfer everything." it's imo a great midway between soulbound and free trade. though I did love the "oh I dropped that item now I want to make a build with it"
i level decently fast in tota with discharge build. one shots small guys and champions die easily as well. went from 90 to 94 in 2 hours. each round for me is about 30-60 seconds. now in rank 2000 its still easy to kill small guys but champions are giga tanky. they take like 10-20 discharges to kill which is insane. but overall having a blast with tota. more fun when we do the one shots instead of them lol.
This opinion video was in the works for a while! Let us know what you think.
Could not agree more! The game is absolutely insane. Haven't played since ritual really and I've went from thinking this game was overly complicated to now full on addicted like never after giving the game another shot years later.

disagree, economy is pretty garbage due to way too many currency printing mechanics that are unfortunattely in the "rich get richer" category
especially Sanctum is absolutely destroying value of raw currency and any non chase items/materials
so unless you are doing the superjuicing meta farm strategy or ultra optimized Sanctum it feels like your time spent is totally wasted

Thats why I think tota should go core 100%.

I have stutters on dx11 and 12 and vulkan crashes frequently too.. and my fps is halved compared to last league
@@Raysureeea I'm particularly fond of the way harvest beast numbers don't update until after you press the button. The missing floor textures are really a fun new feature too though.
Performance this patch is a killer, it's sad cos I really love this game but it hard to enjoy a blurry mess
Deli is a fps killer sadly
the only major issue I have with the league is an across the board awful performance on lower-mid end pcs
Yeah the frame drops have been unreal
welcome to poe, it has been like this or even worse for as far as i can remember.
Have a 13900k and have to run the game on efficiency cores only to not crash the game with decompress issues. So even high ends are having issues cause the game can’t handle their feequency
@@Straggler8 Yeah I have GFN now too as it's the only way I can play and even on it it isn't amazing performance (unless you have the ultimate tier I assume) especially for the first while you open the game, everything loads super slow because of preloading and the loading screens are slow too so I frequently get missing textures for a while :(
@@thebigkill24I have an older 3900x and 5700xt and the only issues I have is the dynamic resolution during big fights takes me down to -500p.
Imagine if we have page 2 atlas that you can preset
@@zulazhar1259 Not too sure how i feel, on one hand would be extremely nice QoL, but the other, you basically will never need to change ur tree again, youll be able to get pretty much anything with 2 trees and this removes the constant changing and altering your tree bit by bit as your focuses change which is quite fun and enjoyable in itself, just not nice for full atlas tree resets
The league mechanic itself is absolute dogshit in my opinion, it is incredibly unbalanced and just not fun at all, tattoos however are so good and give so many possibilities that i hope the mechanic goes core
The game itself is in a fun state right now, the atlas tree makes playing whatever you want incredibly fun
Try changing your graphics engine in the options. It's still not as fast as it used to be, but it helped.
Ssd
Download the game on a solid state drive. It will solve your loading screens.
You can nerf them to half value or limit them to 5-10
I've never played a league this long, it's just excellent.
True just started leveling my fifth character
Lol I haven’t even completed my atlas. Farmed over 250div in TOTA. Gonna try to hit 100 then make a mapper for challenges.
idk what i'm doing wrong, i hate this league so much i played crucible league way more and got a couple mirrors but i don't even want to go for one in tota
you're not alone dude, people that love tota are coping because they got lucky drops, the mechanic itself is awfully designed@@zoober96
The first time you played you were done in a month lol?
my 2 most wanted things we need to see in poe are imo a death recap and login respawn in your hideout after clearing the campaign
GGG made the right call to buff TotA rewards right away and not wait for weeks like they did with Lake of Kalandra.
My favorite thing about your videos is that voice to text recognition in the video preview always begins with “Hi scissoring here”
FPS stuttering for me makes the game unplayable.
I'm actually hoping tattoos stay with some nerfs, i think it's great, they work with some unique jewels for example
Eeeeh, for me crucible was pretty mediocre, it simply didn't have anything at all at the low-end, so it just failed to hook me. TotA at least has fun gameplay.
yea... nice u had fun in crucible but if we have to be objectives crucible was easy top 5 worst leagues
So happy to hear that 😊
Any new build guide on the way ?
glad you're having fun, that's the most importance aspect for players and streamers alike
I think the best part of Tota is that it helps people that aren't great at maximizing different currency options to be able to farm currency as they'll see them listed specifically in the reward options
True. This is my first league and tota has been my main way to farm chaos orbs because I don't really know how else to target them and it's just fun
@@lizardking3743 I mean chaos is normally just the vendor recipe but I have never farmed as many divs prior to this season
@@raves8451 I just recently found out about that recipe. I'm a noob
No no, you must earn your RSI badge in poe.
You gotta feel the weight, Son.
I am genuinely confused by their almost complete lack of communication regarding the performance patch and the issues many people have been having, though.
my game is crashing everytime i enter something many people with same cpu as me have this since league start so havent even been able to play
and poe doesnt fix it
It's literally the number one listing in their "Known Issues" forum thread.
Great league and patch so far, as always - cant wait for next league!
tjhe game is honestly just so much fun right now. so much content, so many builds, so many options for playing how you want.
I've been leveling with TOTA, not really to level, but just because of how chill the mechanic is.
My two characters don't have the same strengths.
but this would remove respec costs entirely@@BellalunaMcKenzie
My only issue with the game is the absurd amount of latency spikes that happen later in the night, I work from home so I can still play during the day but, my friends who I'm trying to show the ropes to, are only available at nightime and the South American server starts to die after 8PM, you log in, load an area and as soon as I open my stash or inventory, BOOM 20~50000ms all the way until at least 1 AM.
Kinda hard to keep the boys playing when everyone keeps disconnecting ;-;
I’m loving mapping right now. I change my Atlas strat about once a day with the current tree.
For newer players who haven't done 200+hrs in every league for awhile, any league is good. For veteran players, Kalandra was a letdown.
@@DeedlyDoodNah I've got something like ~3k hours played and I really enjoyed kalandra
@@DeedlyDoodI’m a veteran player and I enjoyed Kalandra.
I have accrued over 100 divines, mostly from tota, invitations, and just farming t16 maps "alch and go."
It just feels so good to not really have to follow a guide, play pretty casually with a badly optimized build and still be able to experiment and use currency to make wonky builds.
TOTA could have had a Betrayal-like in map mechanic to access it. Instead boring coins.
This league i discovered you dont have a different atlas per character. Holy. If anything, that has to change ;(
Yeah I really wish that atlas passives were character specific while atlas progression was account wide..
Farmed my first Mageblood this league, it was a little depressing watching the price rise so high, but hey, I got there. Okayge
when a league is ok, I usually play 2-4 weeks then I quit. When its great I play 3-6 weeks. then I quit. Right now, I'm not even thinking of that because I actually want to try different atlas nodes. I'm still only around rank 400 in tota and I actually enjoy it. I can see myself playing longer than 6 weeks this time around
I kinda agree, my favourite state of the game was 3.13, but currently I really like the state of the game in general
Maybe you could ask GGG for a quick one button unspec all of our points that kind of quality of life would just be amazing
I think it's unreasonable to expect a massive respec when you want to jump between league content.
normally me and my friend quit after 1 or 2 weeks but this league we still keep played it
I've been playing hardcore trade all season and it's been a blast, only issues being with all the streamers getting rich on trade upgrades for my build are way too expensive for a casual dad gamer like me. Still having a great time even with 4 deaths xD
Patch is fun league mechanic isnt my favourite.
The atlas skill tree is a masterpiece of game design.
Thank you
There hasn’t been a league that I didn’t enjoy for at least 2 years it feels. More and more to do and farm is great. The game keeps getting better.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I am as well!
Hi Ziz, in my opinion this is the most fun mechanic I've played so far. I love to do TotA, and to the drop buff you dont feel actually that you are missing currency (or too much) and the game compensates with the fun of the arena style. I love it.
if they end up making ToTA core, they could add an atlas passive that takes the player out of the match to be closer to a regular tft.
League mechanic is great. Builds feel great. Loving the league. Wife hates it because we don't hang out at night anymore
Glad to hear, I was playing BG3 so I just started league the other night.
ive never played poe league DAILY before this league. usually i minmax one or two builds, kill ubers then quit. this time around there is so much to do. and the kicker is that i didnt even try the league mechanic yet. that should tell you how solid and varied the endgame is. next on my list is farming sanctum. its crazy that mapping isnt the only (and best) endgame activity anymore. usually i find it tedious having to do so many things to make maps juiced before running. now i can just buy tomes and binge run sanctums if i want, or buy silver coins and live in tota. def top tier league, probably on par with ultiamtum for me.
This is my first poe experience and league still really confused even after 100 hrs but having fun
My favorite League was Ultimatum. I know people hated it, but my build was PERFECT for it. Exsanguinate Trickster with Unleash support. One click would clear MULTIPLE SCREENS and give me so much health I was literally immortal. I'll never be able to play that build ever again.............
I think recombinators can be added to core game if result item would have "combined" teg or something to ensure only one use per item.
i doubt they'll ever let soulbound items go core unless it's in the core drop pool, and that wouldn't be very interesting.
I took a big hiatus. Started playing again and I love sanctum! Kinda sad I missed it but it's very fun now too
the atlas tree is by far the best made thing in the game, when its someones first league, and they can make their own atlas tree not knowing anything and still have success, you know its just amazing. there isnt a single other part of the game that is as balanced/well made as that imo
I played POE for 3 weeks and im in love. Just finishen act 10.
Exalts and divines have equal weighting, including Sanctum lol
I love the fractured drops from rares.
the atlas tree is the best thing they added in the game imo.
ascendancies choices are rough, like chiftain has basically 2 good points and the rest is "ok which one is the least useless."
tattoos are awesome, I would love limited to 10 just because of warrior's tale. I do love/hate that it makes your character more unique, so you can't just go "I'll reroll a juggernaut instead of champion now that I've got great gear and just transfer everything." it's imo a great midway between soulbound and free trade. though I did love the "oh I dropped that item now I want to make a build with it"
Also i haven't broken 1k yet in tota, i got a drop of 3 apothecary cards around 500 and a kalandra's touch around 850
i level decently fast in tota with discharge build. one shots small guys and champions die easily as well. went from 90 to 94 in 2 hours. each round for me is about 30-60 seconds. now in rank 2000 its still easy to kill small guys but champions are giga tanky. they take like 10-20 discharges to kill which is insane. but overall having a blast with tota. more fun when we do the one shots instead of them lol.
GGG should honestly pay you to exist. your an invaluable part of PoE
I don't think that ToTA is perfect but I really hope they make it core, because it's a very nice change of pace from regular gameplay.
The only thing I currently miss, is a little love for chaos dot. I really wanna play ED Contagion :(
