    Hello everyone! We went to Jeju, Korea's tropical island, in late October, and decided to make a guide video on how to book your trip there. In late 2023, there are a lot of tourists coming to Korea, and prices are getting a lot more expensive than normal, so we felt it was a good idea to share some tips about how to book your flights, hotel, and how to get around Jeju Island in 2023. We also share some highlights from our trip, and what we paid for everything when we went there. Enjoy!

      @@bikechinguGreetings! The two of us will be on bicycles. In Seoul in early May. We will approach Seoul from the direction of Dongducheon. I'll have to meet you for lunch. True, our English is not as good as we would like. But I think I’ll be able to communicate with Google Translator :)

      Traveling around Jeju by bike is such a great way to explore the island! By the way here are a lot of the good beaches to camp for free at (timestamp link): ua-cam.com/video/duX0oIUk41g/v-deo.html

      @@lostthenfoundMatt, thanks for the beach, I'll try to find it. The places are interesting, camping is probably the best thing you can think of to merge with nature. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the country.

    This is such a useful video, thanks so much. Better understanding of how to get around is really helpful. And hotel and restaurant recommendations are always great. I would like to do the Mt. Halla hike while I'm there. I'm guessing it would be easy to get a bus or a taxi to and from the trailhead?

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  7 місяців тому

      Thanks so much @northice! When we hiked up Hallasan we took a taxi, because you want to make sure to get there as early as possible just so you have a lot of daylight to deal with. The buses start too late in the day to use them to hike up I think. Hope you have a great time hiking up, and check the weather in advance to try and pick a clear day on a weekday if possible!

    Awesome! Glad your parents enjoyed their visit to Jeju. It's such a magical place I've connected with since my first visit. My family enjoyed the island last July when I chauffeured them around with my rent car. I look forward to my 4th visit again hopefully on a winter experience.

      Thanks so much! Jeju is a great place to take the parents for sure! Wow it'll be your 4th visit next time eh? Jeju is also fun in the winter! Definitely recommend going there and hiking Hallasan too!

      @@lostthenfound yeah exactly what I had in mind since you shared your winter hike to Hallasan. I only experienced snow once for the first time in Mt. Rainer WA.. in the mid July summer 2010. Winter Hallasan will be quite experience for me to adapt to cold weather.

    Hi there! I’m visiting South-Korea this summer. I love your video’s, they are so helpful! I have just one question: until what time do the buses run? And also: until what time does the subway run in Seoul and Busan?

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  2 місяці тому

      Thanks so much @Disney3000! The buses on Jeju run until 8-10pm, and subways run until about 11:30pm-12am usually. You can check the info for specific buses on Naver Map (just type in the bus number) and subways on Kakao Metro.

    Hello, does it work to go in december (winter)? I saw another video that you recomended but regardng trekking.. With no trekking does JEJU worth the visit in Winter?

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello @Mandriletta I would say it depends on a few things. If you are coming here for 2 weeks or so, then Jeju would be worth a short visit (2 nights) in the winter. However, for a shorter trip I would consider spending more time in Seoul and Busan instead, as they have more things to do without having to travel by bus/taxi as much. It's really easy to book flights to Jeju last minute though, so you could play it by ear and wait until you get here to decide if you want!

    • @Mandriletta

    Is there Uber in Jeju?

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  Місяць тому

      Hi there @roxas7136, I'm not 100% sure to be honest as I've never used Uber before. In Seoul Uber will automatically use the Korean UT app, which should be the same in Jeju. I would use Kakao Taxi instead as the price will be the same and there are way more cars.
