This may be called 'how to get sentinel ships' but it really feels like a journey to self-discovery. Also, I'll be eating a baked potato because I just got my wisdom teeth out and I can't eat anything else.
Almost commented on that. I hadn't played the game in a couple years and came back to find all kinds of new stuff. Got the first Sentinel ship mission and was wondering how to get others. Noticed it doesn't say "Corrupted Sentinels" anymore.
Also a tip for farming units/ sentinel ships that I have learned somewhere else is that if you have found a harmonic base build your own base next to it or in that base. You can scan for a new sentinel ship in the camp everytime when you have fixed a new one. Trade the ship in for scraps and then units or keep going for a new ship with a better class !
A couple minor notes to make things easier 1. Dissonance Resonators show what they drop if you look at the base of it, so if the one you found doesn't have an echo-locator you can just move on. 2. When hunting sentinel capital ships you can shoot a freighter so you don't have to go to a planet first. 3. You can also shoot space stations which will take you straight to stage four with sentinels, which can save some time, but it can be bugged to where you get attacked by infinite sentinels and it never progresses to stage five. In which case you can fly back into the space station.
I noticed that if I shot the space station and stayed nearby, it would just continually put out Sentinel ships. But when I flew further away, it would fix itself. I wonder if that's because stray shots were still hitting the space station and causing the wave to reset.
So, this is a great informative, and also comedic video, but there's a tip I'd like to add that maybe not a lot of people know about? If you just go to encounter the corrupt sentinels on the planet and battle them till you get all the wanted stars, you'll get a beacon sort of notification where you end up locating a ship automatically. That's without any extra stuff too, no need to hunt down the resonators, though you can do it that way if it's proving difficult to find and keep their attention. I find just powering through the sentinel waves on the planet much easier than doing any of the other methods personally, cuz it leads me directly to a ship.
Tip: If you place a save point in the Harmonic Echo base you can place a base or save point so you can "request" the game to show you another marker to downed sentinel ship. You can skip looking for echo locators that way but you still need harmonic glass for repairs.
I only got a class C ship but it was so much better than the starter ship. My hyperdrive range went from 100 to over 650. That by itself made the whole process worth it
My first interceptor looks like a chubby robot man flying. And it came with a handy feature that shuts the game off when it thinks ive played long enough.
Also jumping back in for the Adrift Expedition 13 and I forgot how to get one of these for my main save now that I can launch the Expedition from my main save and collect all the previous Expedition rewards from my other save!
Just for the doing my tax part, I'll get myself one😂 Jokes aside, sentinel ships are awesome in both practical and aesthetic way. My first sentinel ship has quad mech-like landing gears which reminds me a Starcraft siege tank.

important to say IMO.... and correct me if im wrong: If you do not want to farm the glyphs by either main quest or travellers grave the fun way is the only solution since you do not have to use the glyphs to get the ship
I don't think you need to have unlocked the portal glyphs to use the sentinel interface, they should all appear for that part. If I'm wrong, feel free to write me out of your will.

I fought long and hard for an incredible S CLASS SENTINEL FIGHTER. I have maxed it out and I till take down a Sentinel Dreadnought in about 5 minutes! OUTSTANDING.
If you wana make a ridiculous amount of credits then mark the location of the sentinel camp then go fix up the ship, sell it or keep it if it’s good then go back to the camp you marked an it will let you get another one, then repeat the process and you can make 30 mil credits every 15 minutes or so

You can also take the fight to the surface and do five waves on the surface. You could also fill up your inventory with the ships following the same method. After you get a ship fight the sentinels for five waves and you’ll get a new ship and you can salvage themfor at least 25 mil each plus every time you find a new ship there’s a chance it’s a different rank. And different dissonant planets have different type sentinel ships.
You can also get the dreadnaught AI from normal sentinel capital ships it seems so , I was smuggling some old good blood , the police stop me and I resist like a good free man from the tyranny of the scarlet eye , so at the end of my killing spree of the popo, the ship drop the AI hahahahahaha , it was neat , also I luv the video mate
Well I just found out that not all dissonant planets have Harmonic echos on them. My echo wouldn’t scan because “no harmonies detected in current system”

The first sentinel ship I got, I stumbled upon it by complete accident. Also I couldn't find a corrupted sentinels planet, but I found a planet with Dissonance and it has the ship.
Corrupted Sentinels are found primarily on Dissonant planets. You can tell that your Star Systems has one with the word "Dissonance" on it in the Galaxy Map with at least one of its planets being marked as "Dissonance Detected". It's relatively easy to figure out the steps. The Fun Way is actually quicker if you have plenty of resources to keep your shields up.

I used a consumable called 'Anomaly Detector' While in space I scanned for a 'signal' using the Pulse drive and it finally led me to a planet with a distress signal. Low and behold it was the ship!
