six of us smashed a small hot spot for weeks ....then a gold medieval ring came up ....just goes to show with iron and coke about you can miss those finds of a lifetime by a inch....
What was the conclusion when you compared the different detectors on the gold coin. Again, a comparison with the Makro Multikruser would be very useful with comprehensive in - ground tests using different targets on their own and surrounded by iron at different depths. The stability in wet sand/water should be included. Congrats on finding those smashing coins.
Just a quick one , is the head phone jack a standard one or is it a screw in type , just wondered if I could use my detekniks wireless kit with it ? , Robbie.
ive had it about a week and feel very confident on all the settings..... you can just pick a mode, do a quick noise cancel and then detect.... i would recommend raising iron bias 2 and above

yeah overall its a great machine... can be setup so super stable and easy on the ears etc but if you want to open it right up and hear everything under your feet you can... light weight, fast, deep, great price..... and deffo finds the goodies
When people have finished with the hype of the nox they will find it is just a cheap and nasty deus clone in most ways, got shot of it strait away awful in the iron unlike other minelabs

I would never buy a Minelab Equinox when the designers forgot to trial the machine in the field properly and if they did, yet go ahead into manufacture and supply substandard shaft that wobbles and can never be tightened up enough to the point Equinox buyers are having to do D.I.Y. on the shaft or purchase for over a £100 extra carbon fibre shaft system from 3rd party suppliers. Such a simple issue that should have be known by the designers of the Minelab Equinox and yet should have come up in field tests. If they can't be bothered to sort out such a simple issue what other surprizes are going to come up in the next year or two with the Minelab Equinox?
