    Hi there, I'm Nick in the States. I'm not the best player in the world. I'm not the prettiest man in the world... but I do love my guitar stuff. I have more gear than talent, but will share both with all of you fine people.
    Special Thanks for Shane from the In the Blues channel ( / intheblues ) and podcast for the solo of my intro music. Shane's an awesome dude even if he is backwards (lefty) and upside down (Australian).
    Oh and finally, be cool, kind and considerate in the comments below. We're all here because gear and music bring us together. The world is more rewarding sharing this trip around the sun with open minded individual. Cheers!

    For the money, why not have one of each 😎 But, you know me and my mad love for blue guitars. I do not own an Eclipse, so my money would be on the Custom. HB makes some killer guitars. Can't wait to own/play one some day soon. Glad to see you on here again Nick. God bless and rock on 😎👍🎸

    I am thinking you meant burning biceps. Great take Nick on SC Custom. The coil split does sound good on this one. You can go from Les Paul Gimme Three Steps to Stratier Sweet Home Alabama pulling the knob up.. Love the looks on my Ocean Blue SC Custom too. On the Paradise Flame 550 you said the top might not come out like a Slash AFD but more Joe Perry Boneyard because of QC and it is harder to do. Apparently not so for the flame on the 550 you got. I would love to get a good looking Paradise Amber 550 too. I am getting addicted to HB. Keep up the great work and rock on.

    I am so on the fence between these two. the tobacco version of the SC 550 will be back in stock in a week I think I will get that one. But the Custom - I kinda like the body shape a little better. Anyway - I am sure I won't do wrong on either guitar. Also the costumes are about $40 more now.

    I have the first generation of the SC custom in vintage black and i bought it as a backup for my gibson les paul. But with the coil tap/split i found i was using it more and more on stage. I did swap out the pickups from the wilkinson ones to the great British iron gears and it completely changed the guitar and made it 200x better! Its a little beat up now but I still love it and still think its the best HB you can buy! The TE-52 is also very good.

Class pickups and to be honest I will only use them from now on as they are cheap enough to play around with. One Seymour Duncan get you a set with change..

    I bought my SC Custom in vintage black with gold hardware (black beauty style) a year ago B-stock for only 148 euros. Only thing I could guess why it was B-stock were a couple of tiny cracks at the back of the volute. Yep, it's heavy as a MF, but for a few songs here and there as I alternate it with my other two (Harley Benton) guitars, a strat and a tele copy, it's fricken awesome. Rock and metal machine.

    since i played once waaaay back with a red les paul (a gibson maybe), it become a dream of mine to buy one cause i loved the experience. fast forward to this year, when i found HB i took to opportunity to buy an afordable LP. i had 3 in mind. sc 500 wh, sc 550 red (obv) and the sc custom ocean flame. contemplating on the price difference and the coil tap feature i went with sc custom! and wow how much i love it!! mine also a b stock with black fretboard (like your sc550). but the one thing that blew my mind after seeing your video, was the fact the 550 had a different shape than the custom! :O how did i missed that?? so glad i eventully bought the sc custom cause man, i dont like the shape so much. i had the impression they were the same. and lastly, great and funny video!! thanks a lot!!

    I just got the exact SC custom in the video and to be honest. Coming from a Tremonti SE Les Paul I like it. Considering the price it's phenomenal. Fretboard I like the feel and color with the finish.woukd have liked at least a satin neck finish but I can do that myself if I really wanted to which I'm leaning towards it. And I love the sound you get with the coil tap on the neck pickup haven't used a push pull knob like this other than my Scott Ian SG single humbucker and one knob. So I can at least hear the difference there. Neck is a bit flatter than my PRS but a tad wider which I can deal with. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Now we wait for the SC 1000 to get here Monday!

    Hi Nick I had a bad experience with Thomann, they sent me a damaged guitar it wasnt damaged through shipping as the box was in great shape! so they knew it was damaged when they sent it. I go can you send a replacement, but instead they were very rude through emails and said send it back and i had to pay extra as they wanted me to take a huge guitar box to a shipping depot. they could have simply sent a replacement taken the old one back. now the guitar i wanted is sold out becuasue the loopholes the put me thorugh. im actually done with thomann after the way they treated me.

    • @anthonystark5412
      @anthonystark5412 3 роки тому +2

      Ironically enough, I've read on a number of forums (fora) that the safest bet with Thomann is to order their B-stock guitars. Not only will it you save an extra few bucks, but they also have to manually inspect every returned/rejected guitar before adding it to their B-stock inventory. As with Nick's SC550, there might be a small blemish, but you can be sure that you'll receive an item that's in perfect working order.

    I got the SC-500 II first. Was so blown away, I got the Custom. The Tesla pickups that were in the 500 were surprisingly nice. BUT, I had already planned on putting a set of Dimarzios in it. But, I wouldn't hesitate to put the Teslas in some cheap pawn shop guitar to help it out. I'm totally unimpressed with the Roswell pups in the Custom. And, coil tapped, it's not that special. Buuuut, again, I love my favorite pickups, so the Custom has a set of Pearly Gates and sounds so much better. The 500 was a b-stock and there's nothing wrong with it. I don't like the tuners. I like the look of them, but will probably switch them out. I'd gig with either one of these guitars.
