I love it - I love it - I Love it - I'd forgotten about setting the white Balace. But Also learnt about Slo-Mo - I am 76 and it does take a little to catch up. 8th Nikon since 1976 and now the best. Thanks
Thanks for the video and reminding me of why I do not need to upgrade to the Z8 or Z9! I've had my Z6ii for about 2 years and love it. I know Nikon's AF has taken a bad rap, however, I've found the latest rev 1.6 to fix a lot of these issues.
I had no idea you could swipe along the bottom of the screen to scrub through all of your photos. I have to remember this! (I'm actually still not used to it being a touch screen at all. I'm so used to using the d-pad from all my old Nikon cameras.)
Although Nikon Z6iii is coming soon this year in 2024, the Nikon Z6ii (mark 2) is still a great camera, and it will be a lower priced body compared to the Z6iii rumored to come out around $2500 to $2900 USD for the body to start as it will be a great hybrid with slightly larger body. Z6ii body will be at least $500 to $800 less in cost. So it depends on the budget and a photographers needs which one to get. For shooters who do a lot of video the newer model with have advanced specs in video and AF. That said, Z6ii is still a good buy for photo shooters and professional video at a great price.
Oh, yeah. I second everything you said. The Z6 II produces professional level results. One can already get a great price for the Z6II as a used camera.
Thanks, its amazing, coming from canon 5dm2 with 2 very cheap lenses & a canon flash, so whole system change is easy😂. I'm between nikon d750 & this, cant decide, both have excellent lowlight & dynamic range, focus (at least compared to my canon) what speedlite/flash will work best with this ? I hear mirrorless have problems with ttl flash due to not reading the infrared, can u advise if flash with z6ii may be an issue? Which evrr i choose will be for minimum 10 years, so ill need a flash, a fast & sharp but budget friendly zoom, from wide to 70 or 120 even. Later maybe a 70 -200 or something similar. I guess the dslr & kit will be cheaper all around, and i know a flash will work well with it and that itll also focus well in low light. Will the z6ii focus lock on well in lowlight too?
10-bit 4:2:2, H.265, STD/HLG/N-LOG to internal memory card along with a suite of video specific features like anamorphic de squeeze preview, load/save LUT's and apply previews, etc., would make this camera absolute perfection. Atomos only barely supports Nikon Z camera's. 4k30 and 1080p60 only, regardless of Ninja V or V+. That's really not good enough.
It's so close to being basically perfect. I'm actually really pleasantly surprised with the quality of the 8-bit footage, it can be pushed quite far without issues but the idea of this cam having some kind of cut down NRaw, braw or even internal 10-bit would be amazing
The other problem is I saw a video comparing pulling shadows, recovered shadows in both z6ii & d750. They both recovered really well from almost pitch black. But the d750 image looked purple all over the btightened areas. Is there any way in post to fix this? Im new to editing at this level. Thanks
Its funny you should mention the eye AF, I just watched a Nikon Z user say he doesn't use eye AF because its not reliable on the Z6 II. It seems for every person who says it's reliable there's someone saying it isn't.
Hello. I don't have enough money for a z8, I was thinking about a z6ii....z7. or a D850. At the moment I have a Nikon D750 with which I do some product photography and more recently I go to events. I was thinking about the days that some say it's good, others say it's not worth it. I would like to know what you would guide me to among the 3 cameras. Thank you very much and I wish you a good day.
I have been using Z6II for events (weddings, indoor and outdoor parties) and it works well. Z6II may struggle a bid in low light situations but nothing terrible. Z7 will have the same megapixles count as Z8, but it will function more like Z6II. Z8 will outperform all these cameras. D850 while an excellent camera and now you can defiantly get it cheaper, is a great deal, but older technology. However, many consider D850, the best DSLR of all times. Much comes down to your budget and how important is the new tech in the Z cameras. D850 I would say is better build and more “professional” than Z6II or Z7, but all cameras can deliver professional results.
@@giuliamocristi1021 , yep, as you hit record on the camera, hit the record button on Atomos Ninja V as it records 4K up to 60 fps. But you need to have an SSD drive for the Ninja V. Just keep that in mind. But to be honest, depending on your needs for dual recording, this is not something that many videographers do. The event must be very critical to ensure that you have redundancy in recording. If you record on CFExpress card from a reputable manufacturer, these are solid cards and likelihood that those fail is small. I suggest rather having another camera which would provide second or thirds angle, this will have more value than just dual recording. Hope these suggestions help. Best regards.
Dr JahanZeb, not knowing what your previously experience with mirrorless or DSLRs, assuming you previously used DSLRs, I believe you are going to love the Z6II. What lense(s)do you have that you plan on using FTZ adapter?
@@TouchLifeStudio Thank you. Previously I used Niko D750, but for a few months then I gave it to my Brother. I have 70-200mm f2.8 and 85mm 1.8f that I will use with Z6 ii. I am waiting for my Ftz ii delivery. Will stabilization work with the APC lenses?
Many thanks Vitali. Very interesting as usual. I have a question regarding the WB : in Still mode, I always have to use a picture of the grey card to set the WB. According to me, the Measure button is accessible only in video. Is it right ? Please continue your videos, it is of great interest for me. Best wishes to you and your loved ones.
The measure button is available for both photo and video. Check your latest firmware. Both(photo and video) WB are set the same way. Best of shooting Jean.

Much depends on your use case, but for many a couple of prime lenses such 24mm or 35mm and 85 would be a good start. Or a single zoom lens such as 24-70 2.8 would work well also. Again, use case should drive that decision. Hope this helps.
Most of not all F-mount lenses will have a noise when using the FTZ adapter. With Z lenses, it is virtually silent. Because of focus by wire. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I don't agree at all. The scroll wheel on Canon and Sony cameras is still superior to Nikon cameras for image review. I will always be jealous of that. 🤷🏽♂️
I like the scroll wheel on those cameras. It’s nice to have that tactile experience. But when you have over 2,000 images screen swipe allows you to review images faster. Or find specific image faster.
The Nikon Z6 ii has dropped to 1499 euros! What do you think? Is it worth it? Taking into account that a camera is going to accompany us for at least the next decade while Panasonic S5II with the L mount is out there at 2.200 euros body, and Sony A7 IV at 2700 euros? The L mount has few so few lenses and the taxes are devastating. But the price for the same quality is comperable to E mount.. at least in Europe. So what do you think? Nikon Z6ii at 1500 for the next decade or it is NOT that future proof ???
Much depends on your use case. It’s not a sports/wildlife camera. If you are using for portrait shoots, some video work, some landscape work (Z7II) than z6II is certainly a great value compare to other brands. I use it for weddings, portraits and it produces great images, color sience, good Eye AF for portraits. It might slightly struggle for event photography indoors (not outdoors) but if you know how to use camera and it’s settings, this is a phenomenal camera even 2.5 years later after release plus the price drop. Also, all Z lenses are awesome and can be well used with f-mount lenses and FTZ adapter. Hope this helps in your decision making.
Compared to Canon RF cameras the touch display implementation by Nikon sucks, it's again left behind in the dust of the competition... So if I were you, I wouldn't brag so much about it.
Nikon z6II eyes focus is really really bad, the worst in market. Waiting now for z8, if they not improved on focus, I will go Canon or Sony. Please don’t get mad, but non of this “secret” are really secret.
I hear Sony A1 eye focus is off the charts. No comparison to anyone. I tried it in the store with a person running around and it stuck like super glue. Have not tried Nikons. A1 just costs $6500 though. Technology will advance to the others and price will keep coming down.
My Z6II is just perfect for me. The images are astonishing!
Very educational and well done! I love my Z6. I do think the 6 and 7 are highly under rated.
