- Metal Artifact Reduction for CT including:
The root causes of metal artifacts, which are:
Beam Hardening
Scatter
Partial Volume Artifacts
Photon Starvation
And methods for improving the imaging including:
Higher kVps
High keV imaging with dual energy or photon counting
Metal Artifact Reduction (MAR)
Projection interpolation
Metal Mask Generation in the image
Normalized MAR where the projections are normalized first before interpolation
My exam question today😵 but i didn't know... Thanks for the video dude❤
Sorry I didn’t get it up in time
Thanks for sharing a, new video. I hope in the future they will be able to erase the effect of metal artifacts completely😎
Thanks Arbo Vitamins, that is a good goal but a really tough one since there is so much information lost. Researchers have demonstrated that if you know the exact shape and composition of the metal you can correct very well
That may happen with Heavy metal patients, long hair, dark leather suits guys and galls😉. Great lecture, thanks!
I should have dressed up like AC/DC I guess
