9WERKS brings you the story of three very special classic Porsche 911 Turbos… two of which were owned by prominent members of the Porsche family.
Learn all about the story of Louise Piëch's "Turbo No1", the first 911 Turbo ever made, and behold the beauty of Ferry Porsche's Oak Green metallic 1977 911 Turbo - possibly the most beautiful Porsche 911 I've ever seen.
You can catch these stunning Turbos on public display at the Porsche Museum as part of its 'Turbo 50' celebrations on Porscheplatz.
With thanks to the Museum team for the privilege of bringing you the story of these special 930s.

How incredibly special that is Lee. Lucky to have that privilege, but also deserved. Well done.
I don’t understand how this guy doesn’t have more subscribers? This guy is knowledgeable about 911s and his videos are very entertaining & educational. I enjoy his 911 magazine just as much! This guy is top notch! Thanks for another great classic 911 video! Cheers/B
Thank you so much for the kind words, they are greatly appreciated.
Maybe BECAUSE it's about 911.
That's the problem with niches.
By widening the brands and type of cars reviewed and given the quality of the videos, there's no doubt ppl will follow him.
Agreed
Brilliant video on a wet Sunday, thanks. You have helped me choose the inserts for my carbon buckets, as a guards red car MacLaughlin tartan it is! Which by the way is your fault because I enjoyed your video on the Cayman T at Harbour Cars so much I bought it! Great sports car for modern roads.
This is amazing to hear, Simon! I'm glad someone out there is going to enjoy the car exactly as I did during the video. A big, big congratulations sir.
I'd kill for the oak met green turbo. My fave turbo now never knew it existed so thanks for this.
Totally appreciate all of your videos, the test drives, and your historical knowledge. Awesome piece on the 930 turbo. Thanks for this.
Another brilliant video Lee. What a privilege to be able to get behind the curtain and see these special Turbos. Love the interiors!
Very sophisticated production! Good meeting you at the Porsche Museum in July, I hope that your channel keeps going from strength to strength.
Likewise! Great to meet you and your family in the lobby, I hope you enjoyed your visit and had a safe journey back. Thanks for the kind comments.
As a Scot I love the looks of these interiors, funnily when I was a kid their was a McKenzie family down the street from me
That oak green is such a rich colour. Ace video Lee. You are one lucky chappy! Bet you enjoyed that day?
Thanks Alex! that Oak green 930 is possibly the nicest-looking 911 I've ever seen, the colour combo is just perfect. The entire day was nothing but a privilege.
Interesting video Lee, the Oak Green car looks a stunner.
I love that narrow body 930
Absolutely epic video. Your content is off the scale Lee.
I can see where Singer got their inspiration from
Thanks for sharing…👍… for sure you have a good network @ Porsche👌… TOP!
My pleasure, thanks for your kind words.
Fantastic, original content as always Lee. Great detail and knowledge, keep it coming.
Awesome episode! Thanks for sharing
That's my pleasure.
That first prototype is gorgeous
Absolutely fantastic history and lovely carts - great video Lee :)
Thank you.
Lee what a great video, I’ve just came back from Scotland celebrating my mates 50th birthday. He was born on the 29th of August 1974 !!! Chances of that
I now want an oak green 911, but with the red tartan interior.
I don’t care if it’s just a carrera, I’d keep it forever
Lee, I really love those Tartan interiors (well I would being a Scotsman) they really suit these beautiful cars 😊
5:43 The 930 is my favorite Porsche.. specifically the later 2 last model years.
Great video 😊
A fantastic video.
7:17 October 1974 production version
I don't think it had a passenger side airbag though.... as stated in the options list
great video
Well played...
Lee, the options list on Ferry‘s car doesn‘t make much sense… Airbag on a g-body? Could be coded on the sticker but thats not what is fitted.
That’s a very good point! I was reading an English translation, perhaps it hasn’t translated correctly.

Passenger side air-bag in Ferry's green Turbo??
Cool video
La prima... basata su 2.7 Carrera ❤
Does it have a passenger airbag?
Passenger side airbag??? On a 930 turbo? Did I hear that right?
Yes... I heard it too... and highly doubt it 😆
Yes I got that one wrong! I'd read it from an English translation, I don't think it translated properly and completely didn't clock the error at the time. Whoops!
@9WERKSTV keep up the good work Lee 😀
What's the story on Porsche and it's tartan obsession @9werks?
