My Piaggio Zip SP LC Mk1 with Piaggio M06 engine and my Gilera Runner FXR 180 are my all time favorites, although I was pleasantly surprised by the Aprilia Leonardo 300 a few years ago.
Honda PCX. I have one of the new models on a 72 plate. By far the best looking Honda scooter IMO. 12.5 bhp , 130 kg and good for approximately 130 mpg. What’s not to like ?
I've got a Keeway EZ i Mini coming later this month. 1800 quid for a simple electric commuter on the road? Unbeatable in my opinion! Also in my sights for longer rides is the Lexmoto Pegasus 300 at £3389. 75 mph and 75 mpg makes it worth a long hard look!
Vespa and Lambretta ,thankfully are still in the international market to the delight of old folks like myself. There are even side car versions of them making them as wide as a small car but very convenient and safe for any age rider. Greetings from Toronto.
I realise this is 8 months old but I would add the Sym ADX into the mix now, with 15 litre fuel tank and a 125cc. £4k in the uk so may be worth a look.
I am not a scooter person preferring sporty motorcycles but I instantly loved the Yamaha's locking center stand! THAT sounds like a wonderful security measure! Make it a b!tch to load onto a pick up compared to a fork lock great idea Yamaha! Now put it on sport touring MCs too!
I am 6'3", went and sat on most models recently, best fit for me and my 5' wife we're the Aprilia SR 125 and Sym Jet X. Honda PCX is great but grab handle for pillion wasn't as comfy. Honda SH and Piaggio Medley both lovely but a bit more cramped cos they don't have the fairing design that allows lower legs forward as well as vertical.
If I can get a Lambretta G350, I will. I love it, and yes it IS a Lambretta. It even says so on the scooter itself. It's not the same as an old scraphe....er, vintage lammy to be sure, but it is probably what they would have looked like if Lambretta hadn't gone under.
For all the lambretta idiots out there any lambretta built after 1972 was Spanish or Indian absolutely crap the new lambrettas are far superior than any rubbish built by vespa
I really like the looks and styling of that Peugeot XP400 if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy and still get great fuel mileage to boot that would be for me !!!
The Peugeot XP400 has a mono shock. This could mean that the motor doesn't swing up and down with the swingarm. 231 kg is 508 lbs, super porky. Love it though.
From all the photos I've seen it looks like the muffler is attached to the R/S swingarm. So apparently the motor does swing up and down. Funny how all scooter reviews (and advertising) just go on and on about what everything "Looks Like" and never get into basic mechanical stuff like that.
Oh I hope that Django EVO doesn't replace totally the retro Django line. Peugeot have made a beautiful retro scooter with the Django and the EVO is just too futuristic for my taste.
It‘s the obvious choice of the italiens. SH Range of Honda. When you go down any road in rome its like: SH 125, SH350, SH150, NMax, SH, SH, Forza, SH, Piaggio Medley, SH, SH,… it‘s the best bike for any european city. Period.
The Suzuki models will struggle, unless they can seriously undercut rivals prices. The Lexmoto is a nice looking bike. It will be interesting to see how the Honda electric 50cc equivalent performs. As it looks like the 50cc segment could be the first to go fully electric.
I live in Australia and I have a Suzuki Address, yet they released an Avenis for 2023. Makes no sense! I would have thought a Burgman 250 to 400 would be a better release as long as it's cheaper than competitors...No chance of that. The BMW 400 series for a similar than a Burgman is better value. Honda, Suzuki and most expensive Yamaha are OVER PRICED.
The by far best maxi scooter is the 2023 Yamaha Xmax 300 ......Im 6'3" 205 lbs 34 inseam and no scooter can compare for smooth engine storage gas mileage for only $6299 out the door I payed
Electric may not be for everyone today, but suck it up buttercups, because gas powered is on its way out. I do agree that electric bikes top to bottom need improvement. That said the idea of a scooter in general lends itself to them being all electric soon.
The Honda helix is the best scooter for comfort and practicality you could even add a backrest for more comfort add New technology to this scooter and then it will be the only scooter people would want to buy!!
I want to buy a Vespa over all other scoots but I can’t get away with their styling now, I mean look at that light on front mud guard 😡👎🏽. Come on Vespa it’s not hard look at what Lammy & royal alloy are doing, retro with modern tech. That’s the way..

Would love to see a CC bump for the next tricity. At that weight, the Tricity 300 has the same power to weight ratio as the nmax 155...
