I have a comment to make, if you think and feel that this movie is a powerful love then you should see The Last of the Mochigans, now that's a powerful love story
In the movie, yes. In real life, no, unfortunately. The community didn't allow her to return to him. At the same time, she was stigmatized for what had happened to her (being kidnapped and returning home pregnant by her captor), and also for divorcing her husband. Anna Brewster was kidnapped by a band of Sioux Indians in 1868. She was 24 at the time, married for a month to her husband James Morgan (arranged marriage). She was brutally r4ped by her captors, and then sold to the Cheyenne for horses. This is where she met another young woman with a similar fate, Sarah White, also kidnapped, r4ped and sold into slavery. They took care of each other, and earned the respect of the tribe for their defiance towards them. Especially the women of the tribe stood up for them and took their side whenever things got rough. Sarah White refused to wear Indian attire, her old dress had turned to rags; the women found a dress and gifted it to her. Also among the Cheyenne, Anna met a young handsome chief who was kind to her; his name was not recorded. They fell in love and got married. Some accounts say there actually was no love on her side, and that she simply made the best of her situation, because being a chief's wife meant she was to be clothed, well fed and treated with respect. But considering her own words and actions after being rescued, it's safe to say she did love the man as much as he loved her. She was found by general George Custer, about a year after her capture, and returned to her first husband. She was pregnant. She gave birth to the Chief's son and named him Ira Arthur; she would often say he was as handsome as his father. Of course, Mr. Morgan wasn't very thrilled by this. Anna would also say things like "I often wished they had never found me". Unfortunately, little Ira Arthur died in infancy. She had two more sons by James Morgan, but their marriage was unhappy. They separated and divorced soon after, and she went to live with her brother. She spoke of returning to her Indian husband, but was not allowed to. And it seems he was dead by that time, killed during her rescue, but she didn't know. She was eventually committed to a mental hospital in Topeka, Kansas; she died there in 1902, at the age of 57.

Stolen women, captured hearts. It came out in 1997
Is this one where she actually gets with and stays with the Indian?
What movie is that ?
Wish I could find the full movie
