I didn't realize that memory add to changing the assets to use UI compression. I noticed it fixed some issues in one of the textures I was working with so I figured I should use it on all my UI, but now that I've seen then I'm going back and reverting the type for non-problematic textures. Yeah it's similar as comparing formats raw vs jpeg. Less compression added means lower quality loss, but same time size increase. Like raw format can go more than few hundreds of mb easily.
its a box that bounces in the world and then when you interact with it, a pop up appears and you can claim rewards based on time. i think it has more to do with verse than materials, though
my map has 220k memory it has over 350 textures that are on planes because i need to make images that players can walk through for a guess the logo game. Do you know anyway i can reduce the memory or maybe not use textures but still be able to show images

Textures don't contribute to the in game memory usage, only into project size.
So looks like something else is adding all that.
