It brought me back to the good ol’ days of playing Call of Duty. I hadn’t felt that since I played Black Ops 2 and I have yet to experience that feeling after Modern Warfare Remastered. I doubt that feeling will come back with any new CoD’s especially with how much the franchise is geared towards Warzone nowadays. That feeling will probably only come back with a remaster of another old CoD like Modern Warfare 2 and it looks like the ship has sailed for that to ever happen… :(

no bone T-bone it was 10 in the original, the point system differs from the modern cods. If they truly want to remaster it they have to not bring in elements from the newer cods, just improve what they had back then.

Since then life happened, careers, kids, people moving and living halfway across the world in different time zones. Online playtime is reduced to nothing. This game could've brought some of that back, if it was a stand alone. There's nobody in our posse that'll buy that Infinite Warfare shite. Well, maybe one, but that's it. Yep. The SAS dude sounded 'alpha', OpFor sounded intimidating. Ice Cube sounded motivating, Spetsnaz sounded too cool for school. Now SAS sounds horrible as well as Marines (one of them was high pitched thought they hired a women because you know, equality). Haven't heard OpFor yet.
If they ever remaster Modern Warfare 2, I will be all over that!!

M1A1 carbine isn't a thing. The M1 Carbine is the gun in game. The Thompson sub machine guns military designation is the M1A1, and the civilian model of the M14 is the M1A. The Garand is just the classic U.S rifle Cal .30 M1. Hope that cleared any confusion.

+Jesus Christ No strafe jumps or movement? The only way to get to a lot of spots in CSGO is to strafe, boost, and do skill jumps. Maps like Inferno, Nuke, and Cache prioritize rotations so if your bunnyhops or strafe jumping is on point you can get to better positions than the enemy team. And I came to the CSGO scene after promod.
+Johnny Nguyen exactly.. CSGO (Or lets say CS in general) is one of the most fun and competetive shooters to play imo.. you can do so much things in CS just like you said, boosting, strafing into spots you would never reach, runboost, flashboost etc etc etc etcccccccccccounter strike is life.

I dunno, shouldn't they be FIXING a few of the glitches from the original game, like the USP Silencer glitch? Or would actually fixing a glitch upset people too much these days?
Nevertheless, even I have to admit that the Remaster is looking really good. I was just expecting the original game but with higher-rez textures and no other changes to keep the purists happy. But they've actually gone all the way with the visuals and the models look a LOT better as a result. They've finally made an AK model that doesn't look completely derpy. Though that said I do wish they changed a few of the reload animations. The MP5 reload in this game always felt off to me.
Still not going to buy it, though, at least not right now. 'Cause pretty much the only reason COD4-R is a thing is because Activision knew Infinite Warfare wouldn't sell and used this as bait. And that's frankly far too cynical for my tastes.
They will sell it later by itself.

It's a shame they're forcing you to buy Infinite Warfare for this because they know it wont sell well on it's own. If it was just this game on it's own for £30-40 I might buy it, but as it is I'll stick with Battlefield 1; the beta alone is just mind-blowingly good and kicks CoD in the nuts.

I feel like it has gotten progressively worse with each release, so my friends and I have always periodically gone back and played some good ol COD4. The announcers in general were annoying. I enjoyed the sounds of the firearms. They have a crisp noise to their reloading and firing sounds.

I agree.I personally really loved the original Deagle design in COD 4. I dislike the changes in sound on many guns especially the Desert Eagle. The inspect weapon idea is so super original, Only a feature CS:GO,Payday 2,Dirty bomb and other games already have implemented. These graphics remind me of Advanced warfare and the gameplay reminds me of Ghost. But this game remastered easily will be the best thing they will be giving us this year.

It's the best thing well be getting from this year's spew of digital art Activision is giving us. Infinite Warfare looks like a complete lost to me. Granted I've never been much of a future shooter fan. But through general consensus it looks like this remaster is the reason money will be made. I'd love to be able to grab this separately without paying for space warfare.

Some of us are effectively paying $80 dollars for the game because I have little to no interest in Infinite Warfare. If I do get CoD:RM I will give IW a try but I don't see myself staying with it for a long time

Yeah, I just watched a vid ;( bounces and elevators are out of the game) im glad elevator glitch is out if the game but I really liked bouncing. not in the get out of the map way, raven should fix getting out of the map w/ bounces but keep them in the game :(
If you live in a place where there are lobbies on previous cod4 then I can see why buying it is an option. But it's essentially obligatory for me since all the lobbies I join are +200 ping. Basically, I envy you for being able to enjoy old CoD's :(
