It's the pin switch at the top near the front of the slot the shifter sits in. 2012 Cadillac srx

Hi I have a problem with Maserati same exact issue everything it’s dodge inside I replaced transmision shifter harness bcm and same thing something it will say vehicle not in park and some times it turns off but stays on ACC

You saved my life. . Would go to park but obviously wouldn't engage completely for the btruck to allow me to turn off and lock it. Wouldn't have thought to look without your comment. Had a thin wire stuck in the gear shift.
