They go from the lighthearted "Heavy Fuel" right into the serious "Romeo and Juliet". I love your happy reactions to my all time favorite band.
"Suicide notes on $100 bill" = lighthearted? Hmmmmmm, I guess, to each their own...
I love your reactions to this band; it’s so rare to find anyone my age or younger who loves them as much as I. It makes me feel a little better in a world in which the ground is falling out from beneath us.
I think you’d really enjoy some of their earliest recorded live footage, when they were rust a 4-piece band, in 1979. The performance is on UA-cam as ‘Dire Straits, Rockpalast 1979’. I recommend the songs ‘Lady Writer’, ‘News’ (my personal theme song, I like to think), ‘Single-Handed Sailor’, ‘Where Do You Think You’re Going’, and my favourite nostalgic love song, ‘Down To the Waterline’ (which also takes me back to my youth, back before being boyfriend/girlfriend wasn’t just an online transaction.
Tu n est pas seul !!
I saw this tour in 1992. I remember it because the date I saw them was actually Feb 29th, in Albany, NY. First time I got to see Mark live, but I've been to every one of his solo tours since then.
Even though this song is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, this was my theme song in my late teens/early 20s. Now it’s ‘News’-also by Dire Straits.
This concert was simply AWESOME. I have it on DVD.
The version of "Brothers In Arms" of that night...it must be the best of all.
Great choice, Becks. Simply great choice.
mandela live 1988 with Eric clapton
@@spartakdauti9783 that one is awesome too
Great reaction, as always i love seeing your face and appropriation for the music, if you ever get round to reacting to CALLING ELVIS please do the official music video, i wanna see the expressions on your face😂😂

Great deeper cut!
Hey Bec, thanks for reacting to another DS song love your channel so much. I know I mention it so much but you have to see Calling Elvis from this concert and Private Investigations from this one as well if haven't already, you'll freak out I promise 😊 Cheers, all the best🎸🎸🎸
Hi Miss Rebeka !!!! As always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁👍👍😎 It's always fun to enjoy your reactions
great band, good pic and reaction!
Hi Rebeka, i'm so happy you reacted to Heavy Fuel, as like Skate away, it took a very long time to be recognized as a great song.......Your reaction spoke volumes about this performance, which as usual, was flawless, especially Mark's guitar playing, as he never misses a note........More please, take care gorgeous. 😘
Absolutely 💯
Great stuff!! I maybe prefer Basel/92 but this is really good too!👌🔥👍
You are the first to react "Heavy Fuel"..and you deserve a big thank you!🙋♂️💕👍
Nice review is always.
Hi Rebeka, great reaction as always to a marvellous live performance. As always keep on rockin beautiful lady!
After the massive hit of Money For Nothing and the Brothers In Arms album world wide, Knopfler was in a pressure to come up with a song with a catchy riffing somewhat like Money for Nothing and Heavy Fuel was the result. As a live performance for the support of their last studio album On Every Street, this live show was terrific ! Love you baby dear ! Stay well, stay safe and always be rocking N' rolling !!
Your Latest Trick....since you love the Saxophone. Check out the LIVE version from Sydney...1986 I think.
brothers in arms live on the night
I have done a reaction on that song already. Go check it out.✨
Thank you for this......
I love Dire Straits and everything they have done, Great song and performance, brilliant reaction again.
Thank you.
Would love for you to react to Fleetwood Mac, Silver Springs. (Please).
Have a brilliant day.
😊
Hi Rebeka great reaction love to see your reactions to bad company think your enjoy them as well.
Love the music and your reactions. Have you played Private Investigations yet? The Wembley live in 85 is god as is the "Live on the night 93"
its great song Rebeka next song You and Your Friend please
Nice moves, lets go you!!!
The video of the concert is all blurred almost from the beginning.
Rebeka, next react to Wild Theme from the same concert, such a beautiful guitar instrumental.
Next Dire Straits reaction maybe Walk of Life?
😎👍How about The Babys "Head First" On The Raes TV Series September 25th, 1979 or J. Geils Band - Rockpalast 1979 Germany.
Please don't forget to watch the live at Rockpalast of Dire Straits, 1979
You have done reactions to many dire straits brilliant songs love them all When dire straits broke up MK went 'solo' and went on to make more superb albums ,now and again he would have other well known artists to corroborate with'if you can get Mark recording Sailing to Philadelphia with James Taylor you will love it cause i know that you enjoy a good story and this song is it
You are the best.Try "your latest trick" with the great saxophone.
hi Rebeka, like your channel, please check out "Calling Elvis" by Dire Straits the concert version, from '1993 album "On Every Street"
Hi Rebeka good reaction!!but🤔didn't you have to react to just instrumental “wild theme “song?
Hi Rebecca good song.
My request is Candy Dulfer i know u will like it.
If you're ready to move on to some solo Knopfler, I would recommend "Boom, Like That" first, from his 2004 album _Shangri-La_ . I only found one live performance, but it sounds good. ua-cam.com/video/fifjOF8niHw/v-deo.html
It's about Ray Kroc, and too good of a song for the topic.
Which song of Dire Straits had the lyrics: ...Twilight Zone, the bullet hits the bone...? Does anyone remember?
That would be Golden Earring, not Dire Straights.
@@MIfarmboy I'll take your word for it because obviously I had to ask about it in the first place, so thank you.

@@Billy-zv6gvJim on is 100% correct
@@Wolverines77 I thank you, too.
Reb. Got anything to thin this fuel out? Hmm, work on it. Good stuff.
I think Heavy Fuel is a throwaway watered down Money For Nothing.
On Every Street has some great songs but Heavy Fuel is not one of them. This and When It Comes To You could have been left off the album, along with How Long which sounds like Notting Hillbillies left over.
The Bug is another country rocker that would have been better with Alan Jackson covering it.
On Every Street itself is great and Planet Of New Orleans is fantastic.
The rest of the material is like Knopfler solo but not bad at all.
Worst hangover that I ever had
