Enjoy the videos and your fantastic Vimeo stuff. Merry Christmas. Shame the world of TV just isn't as festive as it was years back. This is the least festive I've felt in my 33 years (well I suppose I can only count 87 onwards as it's when my memories kick in).
So I completely missed BBC 2 and Channel 4's Christmas ident last year. Shows how little of the old terrestrial channels I now watch and not just over Christmas.
20th January 2017. R.I.P. World. Happy Christmas and a end of the 2 and a quarter week year. Still at least I will be able to see my Mum. Will miss her Christmas Dinner and her of course. GOD BLESS!
Hahaha! When the Radio Times bit came up I said, out loud, "fook's sake, they really need to stop calling it 'the legendary double issue'" - and then you made exactly the same point. I'm glad we are agreed. Merry Christmas Mr Applemask (and all the regular commenters!) x
One last thing ive got to mention for now is in the christmas wrapping 45 minute video on vimeo where you mentioned you couldnt find a photo or footage of the bbc2 1975 christmas look. ive found a photo of it and it is of a enormous doubled striped 2 formed out of tinsel. anyway i am looking forward to the xmas wrapping vids for this year!!!
I almost forgot to say this. the other day i found some photos of the BBC1 and 2 christmas idents from 1967-1973. i found them over on these links. logos.wikia.com/wiki/BBC_Two/Christmas_Idents. logos.wikia.com/wiki/BBC_One/Christmas_Idents
So, BBC1 have released their latest Christmas ident (bit early for old Aunty Beeb, isn’t it?) and apparently BBC2 and ITV have got Christmas idents up, haven’t seen them yet but I’m sure they’ll be the same as ever...
Is the ident a dying art? I don't think I can agree with you. Blockman and the John Lewis BBC idents following sproutboy this Christmas maybe makes us think that idents are becoming a new art and something to be made a big deal of. Could the Christmas ident be similar to the Christmas advert with all song and dance
Any opinions on the special idents made especially for Christmas Day where the bbc got its viewers to announce their programmes (prerecorded) which looks like a return for in-vision continuity
Do you remember when u did the Xmas wrapping for the radio times and then a remade version on Vimeo. Which are fabulous. Have you thought of doing one for the TV Times??
"Look! It's the 1992 ident! Who even remembers that one?"
We do, thanks to you.
Merry Christmas!

We are at November 25th, we have one more month till Christmas and then we can say a year has gone by. Was it worth it?

BBC2's are, with the ironically overdone singers just like last year.
Applemask Ehhhhh... and I found out that ITV are using the same idents that they’ve used since 2013... still BBC1s nice

Great I dents
How do you feel about BBC ripping off Channel 4 with their everyday people in-vision links on Christmas day?

I liked them on the day, but just look what they've led to.
