This really opens up big opportunities for my project I’m working on. It’s an om606 mercedes diesel. I wasn’t sure what size turbo to run to begin with, they’ll pretty much put up with any turbo you want to use. I started thinking about the lag I’ll have since it’s a 3.0 liter but it revs to 5k so the exhaust volume is eventually there. I have a new upgraded turbo for my lly duramax so I was thinking about using the old one and your controller to experiment with
@@shidukirider lol I wasted $3700 on buying a new turbo getting it machined and ceramic coated inside and out and upgraded to a KC turbos 360 bearing kit. back when he was selling them told me he was getting a new order of them in soon then it turned in to call ats and now ats has been telling me for years its coming at the end of the year for years now. shame is I even found a used banchee 1 i bought for $475 but was not setup right and only made 13 pound of boost(guy had it on a gas car) and ask him for the software and again was directed to ats that then told me there is no software they have for it ended up selling after 1 listed for sale for $150 so in realty I got 4025 rapped up in a great looking paper weight. @@Sokolov812-lz5ov that’s a shame, that’s why I haven’t started fabbing anything, the 6.7 Cummins turbo can be manipulated with a servo or vacuum control bypassing the electronics, I hear that design is prone to sticking since it’s not vnt like the duramax and 6.0 psd turbo. So no real benefit especially since I don’t have something to put it on if it doesn’t work out. The nice thing about the 6.0 turbo is it’s a v band, simple and usually those turbos are cheaper to acquire. I was toying around with just making a basic controller with a knob. But then I started considering compound turbos, more weight and piping but a more solid setup with no electronics involved. What engine was your turbo going on?

How the heck would your truck ever build 10+ psi of boost idling? I can hold my truck to redline with a hx35 and my truck makes maybe .5 psi boost , I'm thinking you are trying to sell these controllers or something, these crappy stock 6.0 turbos won't do 1/2 of what you are saying

The banshee VGT controller? It is, its a universal stand alone, IP67 reverse polarity and surge protected VGT / VNT controller. Its not a cheap Arduino, its a purpose built ARM micro controller. Its the only kit that can control any electronically controlled VNT / VGT.
