Branded is the deck that I have invested the most in Masterduel. In fact, it is my only fully intact engine as I have dismantled so many others to craft staples. It is comforting to know that the skill ceiling is much higher than where I am at and that I have room to improve because I sure would like to climb with this deck.

I think at that level everyone knows aluber is a-must to negate along with branded, imho fusion deployment should be used as a last resort since the end board isnt as strong as BF as opener
Cuz its worse to get cartesia negated in most cases since ur branded spell and traps are easily accessible so that way he baits a ht that could be used in cartesia instead, hurting more that way
Branded Lost prevents negation of the activation of cards and effects that fuse. Veiler negated Cartesia's effects, not the activation of the effect. It's similar to why Ash Blossom negates Branded Fusion while Lost is on the field.

Why they didn't start with deployment to dodge a potential imperm on Aluber ?
Give less draws for potential maxx c and eat Hand traps
Cuz if they know it's fine to get aluber stopped they bait a ht since cartesia is more of a choke point
