“My favorite scripture is in 2 Nephi. It’s the whole Nephi chapter 22, and it’s only six verses long. But it’s a quote from Isaiah, and it talks about the goodness of the Lord. It says: ‘O Lord, I will praise thee; … thou was angry with me. [But] thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.’ And it talks about drinking water from ‘the wells of salvation.’ I just love that imagery.
“There’s also several verbs in these verses: to praise, to sing, to cry out all about the Lord. And I just love all of that-that it’s a scripture that deals with our discipleship and how we should act about the knowledge that we have that Christ is our Redeemer.” -John

Christ came to show us an example of how to live. LDS people strive to do the same. It’s our choice to choose how we live, but at the end of the day that will be who we are. Bad can’t be good and good can’t be bad.
