    I used to work at cannon safe in California now in Nevada . I used to program the locks and install the drywall interior and I loaded the safes onto trailers. I loved that job. Owner is a super cool guy. Atleast in my opinion he is. I was in Nevada last week and wanted to visit the new facility but it was too hot and i was too lazy to drive . Good safe company I recommend. Excellent customer support Kenny knew his stuff from the bottom up and also David, that is when I worked there back in 2008-11

    The only thing I would say is it must be a very light safe, I have a Liberty Safe I bought 25 years ago and I would guaranty you it wouldn't blow out of a pickup truck. The door alone weights 500 pounds and the box 200 making the whole safe weight over 700 pounds. You should have bought a Liberty safe my friend.

      @toddk1377 5 років тому +1

      I do the same, but I never worried about them being stolen. I did worry about a fire though. That's where these big fire proof safes are nice to have. I had a buddy of mine lose a lot of guns because of a house fire, they weren't burned up, but it was in the winter and the fire department hosed everything so all the guns were completely covered in ice. He couldn't get them either since they were upstairs and the stairs were burned up, needless to say the house torn down with them inside. He was heart broken and lost them, not money wise because of insurance, but sentimental value since half of them were old family heirlooms.

    I used to work at a Cannon safe Factory in the late 2000’s. I wish they wouldn’t have sucked up to investors and moved manufacturing to Mexico the quality had greatly diminished. I owned an older 2005-9 version and it is so much greater than the new one I had to get rid of because I couldn’t stop complaining about the new ones short-comings. Everything from the thickness of the metal to the insulation and hinges had gone downhill. I do love their lifetime warranty but wish they were made like they used to be.

    Screw that safe to the floor, the back wall, and the sidewall farthest from the hinge. If there are any gaps between the safe and either wall, fill the gap with strips of plywood so a pry bar can’t be inserted. The weakest parts of the safe are the top and sides.

    Oh My God! For the Love of Sweet Baby Jesus! That was *THE* most 'merican post I *EVER* saw! His gun safe fell off his pick up truck on the high way, and all it needed was a bit of fresh paint. How can you not love Tennessee? How can you not love WhoTeeWho?
    I just had the best brunch break *EVER* - kippers in mustard cream and the best video for as long as I can remember. If they'd tried to pull that one off in The Dukes of Hazard, I would've said: "mehh, that's not gonna happen in a thousand years . . . " - and yet, here we are!
    If he was my son, I'd slap him for dropping his gun safe, and buy him the biggest icecream in town for buying a gun safe, that just gets scraped by the asphalt when it flies off a truck at 60 mph :-D
