Hey guys, don't rule out Craiglist, garage sales and estate sales as great places to pick up gun safes at a lower cost!
@iPac_9mm When I did a Caliber Corner online a few weeks ago we looked at Craiglist and found some good deals but some people were nuts with what they were asking.
Nice and big safe for a good price....Good stuff...
Yup!
Been looking to upgrade to a larger safe and Costco has an even bigger one for around $900. It weighs about 800lbs. Moral of the story is I need better friends because no one wants to help me get it up my 2 steps. Had a hard enough time getting my 300 lb. safe in my house by myself.
Seems excessive that my dad had so many helpers but going down the stairs with and ackward, heavy piece I'd steel prompted his decision. It helps that he works in a beef processing plant so he has quite a few friends that can help him out.
I bought a cannon force 64 gun safe from academy. They were discontinuing the force series and I bought it for 500 bucks. It was originally 900 bucks.
Nice!!
Really considering buying this exact same model just waiting patiently for my local tsc to have a sale on them LOL
My dad has nothing but compliments about it!
Same one 5 inches bigger width, and free shipping from Costco ... always get Costco guns safes you get more for same price and free shipping
Nice!
Definitely a great safe for guns! The steel on the sides of the safe are 14ga, which can EASILY be buzzed through with a cheap angle grinder, but that's not the purpose of these safes really, they are more for the HONEST thieves and to keep kids out and possibly smaller house fires. The best place to put a safe is within a closet, so that there is no access to the sides of the safe, but in all reality, if they have time to get out an angle grinder, I think there may be bigger problems than just stolen property... :) Thanks 4 the video!
Yup. Just about any save can me ¨sazawed¨ but we gotta start somewhere like you said. I dont think your average smash n grab thief will bother with one of these.
@@travisp11 I agree, he would have to be a high profile person OR it would have to be some crazy SHTF situation. I think MOST robbers would just see the safe and check if it opens, and then walk the hell away after they realize its locked! Lol
@@shojus Yup!
I have said the same about a grinder being able to get in any of these safes, I believe this one does have 12 ga. though
My LGS has this safe on sale for $700 right now. Reg price is $1000. Looks like it may be a safe to look at
Definitely!
Thanks for the video. Does this open immediately or is it on a delay?
It unlocks immediately
Quick change code? Hhmm.. reset it on him when not looking and hold the code ransom so you can add to your own collection?
Brilliant!!!
Will they deliver to my house, and bring it inside where I want it? Or do I need to hire movers?
You will need to call because I’m not sure.
any idea what the loops are for i cant figur out how to use them you called them " Molly loops "
I think you can use molle compatible bags, magazine bags, etc. by attaching them to the built in loops. They are similar to the ones found on military and tactical gear.
I seriously considered Cannon but I've read a lot of reviews where the lock failed and people can't get into their safes.
I have not heard that about them but it is a possibility.
I believe that is the S G lock like they used to use, mine failed and they replaced it free with the one like on this safe, Browning still uses that old junk style lock like Canon used to use
I have a $1400 cannon boat anchor. Cannon won't honor their warranty. Safe locked up and I had to spend $350 to get it open the cannon won't give me the parts to repair it!
@@jamesgreene4879 leave bad reviews on their social media sites. That will get their attention and they will jump to fix it. Just dont act or look like an asshole while doing it. Kill em with kindness.
Please please please DO NOT BUY THIS SAFE. They 100% will not warranty locksmith. I’m locked out of mine right now and have had nothing but a nightmare experience with the locking mechanism and keypad. Still can’t get into my safe at the moment. 20,000 thumbs down!
Over the years the weight has changed, fire rating time and degrees. So looks like they keep degrading it's effectivness to save a buck
Probably
I bought the same shape from tractor supply in 2019 I only opened it a couple times a month when I opened it last week the shaft on the turn handle broke off inside the safe had nothing to do with the combination I have never had a problem opening it there is no way to get into it contacted Cannon and took quite a while for me to give them all the information they wanted to warranty this receipts pictures videos they even wanted a video of the battery which was nothing to do with the problem I had once I did all this they finally escalated it to be fixed told me it would take 15 to 20 days before they would get someone there if you have something in your shape that you may need in less than 20 days I suggest you do not purchase any of these Cannon products thank you for your time
Not good!
Where was the knockout hole located?
The pre-drilled knockout is located at the bottom center of the back...not to be expanded more than 1/2”, which is more than enough diameter to run a 14/3, 12/3, 10/3 power cord through to provide power for lighting/dehumidifier, etc.
Does it have a electrical plug in the inside ?
john harris No
No, and if you happen to get one from Cannon they will not provide instructions for installation. Plus the kit they send you is janky.
Does it have a backup key?
Lemme ask my dad and I will get back to you. I believe it has an over ride or key as a backup but I’m not sure
Any word on a back up key?
@@josephanthony9863 I talked to my dad and he said it did not come with a backup key. This safe may be a hard pass
Not a bad safe for the price but a lock on his office / bedroom door would have been way cheaper. Plus all his friends wouldn't have a storey to tell and possibly overhead about moving a heavy safe to his house. If he didn't need it before he sure dose now. 😬
All good points.
So I got a question for you buddy how the hell you going to buy a gun safe when you only got one gun 🙌😂😂
There are more valuables in the safe except guns but we have several handguns in it as well as the AR pistol shown in this video. We we're in the process of setting it up when we made this video and there are now more guns in it.
Cannon absolutely don't stand behind their products. had mine a year and a half and it won't open. They refuse to fix it. Steer clear of cannon and all their brands. There facebook page is testimonial after testimonial on there bas customer service and shoddy craftsmanship.
Scott.gallant Ssn646 This is good to know.
@@travisp11 yeah. They want me to spend $500 to pay a locksmith to drill out my $1000 dollar safe and they promise to give me another free cheap lock
Scott.gallant Ssn646 pass
Cannon safes are junk! Cannon won't honor their warranty!
I've heard that from some of the viewers of this video.
