    This video is so unique, so real. Loved this video. I hope more real content continues. Lacey and Mike are so transparent! More of this is needed. We all have lost being real. Especially because of the governments hatred towards their own people in America. This was so refreshing! Liberating!

    WOW..... what a GRRREAT episode! I've been subscribed to Mike & Lacie's channel for some time now.... but admittedly don't watch them "religiously" like I do a lot of others. Never knew/realized how much in common we actually have..... as I believe and follow YHWH's Scriptures in much the same way(s) they do..... 'tis so refreshing to find/see others that follow our Creator the way He dictates/instructs throughout His Word. And it's not even just about that..... but the whole attitude and way they daily walk out their faith is such an encouragement & inspiration to me.... and countless others, I'm sure. Kind of makes me feel bad/"guilty" for not supporting them (their channel) more over the past few years..... especially when I really had no GOOD reason not to..... meh. We need more people like them and y'all in this country/world as The Day approaches..... no doubt about that. Shalom to you all. ;-)

    As someone who worked in a hospital all my life, including during the pandemic, the ban on congregating was not about controlling people's lives, but about not overwhelming health care facilities and the workers. Even as it was, we were often overwhelmed, worked long hours wearing masks the entire time, dealing the the disbelief and even anger and then grief as so many people showed up sick and even dying. If a whole building of people got sick and ended up in our hospital, that was a huge burden on the system, especially in the beginning when we didn't really understand what was going on and what the best treatments were. Did the isolation go on for too long - probably, yes. Were our children/schools impacted in a really bad way - yes, it seems like they were in terms of risk vs benefit. We did learn a lot with that experience and will hopefully do better next time. So just providing another way of viewing what happened. Our church went online and sure, it wasn't the same, but we still offer that option now which has been a real blessing for those who are unable to travel to the building, either temporarily or long-term. Very interesting interview.

    • @yurtmomma
      @yurtmomma 11 місяців тому +6

      I appreciate the work you do and have done but keeping people scared and isolated was disastrous for people's overall health.
      The hospital would have killed my father if we hadn't gotten him out of there, and I know many more people that lost loved ones to "hospital policy".

    • @sharonknorr1106
      @sharonknorr1106 11 місяців тому +3

      Unfortunately, a lot of our health care system is just as broken as our food system. I was lucky enough to work in a really good hospital here in Colorado and it saved my life and the lives of a couple of my friends, so I didn't have the bad experiences that you did. So I can understand how much you now want to stay away from all that if at all possible. Thank you for replying to my comments. Really enjoyed your podcast, even though we are not of the same religious persuasion. That is one of the blessings of being in this country, everyone being able to follow their own beliefs and listen to their own hearts. Hope you are having a wonderful day.

    I was getting into reading the Bible and about 3 months ago I came across the word of what we should eat and not to eat. I grew up eating crab and shrimp and of course pork. I grew up catholic, when to catholic school and going to church every Sunday. My parents never knew or taught the importance of what we should eat. I decided on my own that if God has told us through scripture what meats we are supposed to eat and that he knows us better then we know ourselves that he knows what will make me the healthiest version of myself both physically and mentally. I believe now after trying this that I am physically and mentally feel better. There was no struggle making the choice and I’m not tempted at all to eat these foods. The only concern that I’ve had with it is getting food that doesn’t have part of pork, or other meat. For example, if I go to the Chinese food I can no longer eat the egg rolls. I didnt even realize that there was pork in them before. 🤷‍♀️ Changing habits and being extremely conscious about knowing all of what I was eating. Reading labels is key. Even imitation crab has crab meat in it.
    I can tell you personally I have not had any problems with this transition at all. I feel great and I’m not lacking for anything.

    Lovely interview! We ourselves grew our own pasture raised pork years ago, the best of what we could raise ourselves-only to get it in the freezer and be convicted of the Leviticus clean and unclean animals! Lol! That was a hard pivot to not eat what we raised, especially financially, but your convictions must be walked out for inner peace. Loved the peaceful discussions, and the Fit Farmer and Yurt Mama were so kind and humble in their answers 😊

    • @brandynash1409

      We did the exact same thing! Raised to 2 hogs on pasture and right when we butchered them... we had this Ah Ha moment. They didn’t go to waste, even though we personally didn’t eat them. I grew up eating wild hog my entire life, but these were the first 2 we had raised ourselves. The right way. That was definitely an ouch moment, but as always, it turned out to be a blessing in a different way than excepted.

    back in 2014 I tried to start a garden, and got some comfrey starts and they got up so big and died. I was shocked, and my garden wouldn't grow, I was able to build my own boxes for raised beds and brought in a pickup load of matured cow manure, but I wasn't able to grow much of anything, a couple tomato plants and jalapeno plants. and I kept struggling to grow anything. I finally realized that years ago that area was a place we dumped all our trash to burn. We dumped everything there chemicals old paint cans and buried what wouldn't burn. So I finally realized I had destroyed the soil in that area.. I know that is shameful and it is going to take a lot of work to restore that area of soil.

The Understanding of Hebraic words and The hearing The Holy Spirit for Yourself...That's Key for Yourself. Most of the rules of clean and unclean was for Jews and the Priest as He was creating a people. Christians need to understand how The Lord created Individuals with gifts and talents...Just ask Him💖

    It felt so wrong being peer pressured to wear a mask at church. It made the church look weak imo. I understand our pastor was trying to keep the doors open, avoid trouble with the gov. and be considerate of those in the congregation with health issues/concerns, but it didnt feel right deep down in my bones.

    • @kar702

    • @lauramadsen9379
      @lauramadsen9379 10 місяців тому

      Some of these popular homesteaders are fighting serious autoimmune diseases and others have relatives in cancer treatment, and they surely understood the need for masks. And what "trouble with the government"? Did you hear of the government putting pastors in jail for holding church? No. Those neighbors taking pictures weren't turning people in - they were simply gossiping. The government, which represents us, was simply trying to protect citizens from a dangerous virus. It was new to us, and our country found our way through the worst of it. I thought churches handled it beautifully around me and developed outstanding presence online, that we still utilize when we're sick or unable to be in community. The disabled and isolated are benefiting from it. Some people found rest in staying home on the Sabbath, and they still do, but they support their churches. No idols that I can see in protecting the health of your neighbor. (I attend church, and watch multiple services during the week online. It enriches and broadens my faith. Find the good.)

    I took a training course for on the job training, and one of the saftey buzz saying was what is the worst that could happen. I still stop and do that quite often now in life. I still struggle with this, when you break down Leviticus 11 where god breaks down food allowances. When I look at the food he says not to eat, they are dirty foods, carrion eaters, and bottom feeders. I love seafood and all the things I love are the bottom feeders and the things God said not to eat. I don't understand rabbits but I do Pigs. I understand fowl, and chicken types yes, carrion eaters no. That makes sense. I still have not come to a complete answer. I understand the laws of God were for the Jews, not the Gentiles, and was more to set them apart more to themselves. This was a way for God to teach them that were different so he set up laws to set them apart to all but mostly to themselves. I have heard Jesus released us from this, but I still have not formed a complete decision. I study it many times per year and I will keep studying and asking others until I have come to a complete understanding. I still eat bacon and sausage as they are my 2 favorite foods. Most often I eat beef sausage. These are the only 2 pork things I eat. When it became a choice for me I quit eating all other pork items but ham, sausage and bacon.

    I think the views regarding the Pandemic were a little 33:24 and judgy. Churches still assembled online. Small groups met in driveways or outside. You have to look at the reasons. It was about saving lives and was only temporary. I managed a Senior Facility. We saved lives by isolating. The church I was in went online but served the community with feeding hundreds of people by providing groceries with mobile food lines.

      That’s not true in my family’s case my devout Catholic mother who is 90 years old has totally stopped going to church. They didn’t let her go during the pandemic, and she just never went back.😢 I find it very sad because it’s been a very big part of her life. She converted when she married my dad. I myself am a recovering Catholic but I feel bad for her and the rest of my family that were so involved in the church for years before the pandemic. And on top of that loss everyone of them has been vaccinated several times and they aren’t doing well. They’ve all had Covid three times. Smh

    Justin, thank you for the interviews with Rory Feek and the Dicksons. I have watched them separately. I strongly suggest you go to the hospital with your arm. You have tetanus and bad infection. I don't want you to die. I honor and respect your sweet wife. She knows a lot. I just think you need antibiotics of whichever variety plus a tetanus shot. My prayers are with you and your family.

    Here's the rule I follow and it has served me well: your right to swing your fist 8:44 ends at someone else's face. During covid, some church goers, healthcare workers, etc. prioritized their own "rights" over protecting the most vulnerable, resulting in a tragedy of epic proportions. Maybe they didn't lose anyone close to them, or maybe they don't believe in germ theory because it's not in the Bible. Wake up, y'all! People were dying because you insisted on gathering to worship God! They picked an odd hill to die on, especially because THEY didn't die, someone else did.

    Not eating pork is from the Old Testament. Jesus came and washed the old ways away. Yet God gave us dominion over all animals.

      Jesus Christ did not die on the cross to sanctify the hogs.
      DO NOT EAT THEM.

    Mike Paul said Colossians 2:16-23
    King James Version
    16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
    17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
    18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
    19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
    20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
    21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
    22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
    23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

    Cross
    BY LANGSTON HUGHES
    My old man’s a white old man
    And my old mother’s black.
    If ever I cursed my white old man
    I take my curses back.

    If ever I cursed my black old mother
    And wished she were in hell,
    I’m sorry for that evil wish
    And now I wish her well.

    My old man died in a fine big house.
    My ma died in a shack.
    I wonder where I’m gonna die,
    Being neither white nor black?
