Great video and thanks for the knowledge. I brew microbial brews for my garden. The only bummer is chlorinated water which destroys the microbes. For me I fill container with city water and air bubble the water for a day or two before I make my brew. Releases some of the chlorine out . Anyhow microbes are a must. Love your vids they are detailed, Thanks for sharing your time.
Cindy thank you for sharing enjoy your weekend
Man dragon alley turned into dragon forest yard 😂. Great share as always. Ps. Couldn't hide all those flowers on the back plants from the trained eye. Looking out for more flowering and fruit content soon dragon boss
Thanks Richard. I like your instructional videos because you don't talk and detract. Keep up the good work.
So excited I found your videos. Taking all of your information in and hoping my cactus get fruit next year or at least get nearly to that
One of my babies is about 5 inches from the top of the trellis. Getting excited!

rockin' those crocs!
Great to know about how to top them!
Very informative useful and interesting video enjoyed watching
Love the tips! Question.. I have tipped my dragon fruit but instead of making multiple branches it only made 1!!! what do i do?? @grafting dragon fruit
I was also wondering how often is the fertilizer used once week or once month? When I worked at Disney world we used bloom boosters every other week and 20-20-20 every other week for our bougainvilleas and hanging baskets.
Very helpful thanks.👍
Richard you are amazing!
thsnks for you ....
what about the winter and cold weather we must cover dragon fruit by nylon or in a closed place?
Great Sharing👍👍👍
Nice video. Also are you ever going to do a follow up video on foliar spray for the aerial roots?
Thank you, as I was conducting this research and experiment. I started to notice that aerial roots eventually grow down into the soil to feed. I felt as Foliar wasn't needed when the roots already work their way to find what they need to thrive.
Hello, I am producing dragon fruit in Turkey. I love following your videos
Hi Richard... Nice Video. Will u please let me know the time interval, when to fertilize & Normal Watering..
L, ✅ thanks for sharing my friend
Hello Richard. I need ur advise on a small problem. I'm trying to grow some dragon fruit plants according to your method. One of my plant has broken off at the tip about halfway to the top of the trellis. Now there are about 3 nodes putting out growth. So should I keep all 3 or continue with just one ?
I love your channel , I am so happy , my dream come true to learn how to take care dragon tree . Thanks bro. Have a nice evening
Hi Richard, I don't get the Flora Nova products here in Barbados but I've seen a Dr Earth Cactus and succulents fertilizer. and was wondering if that can be used as a substitute?
Hi! Do I need to plant same variety in one pot?
Hola Richard. Podras decirme de qué variedades te ha resultado el mejor polen para la polinización cruzada? Saludos bro!
When they start to umbrella, how long do you let them grow? Until they touch the ground? And if so what do you do to maintain? Keep cutting it and maintain a certain length?
When they get to your desired length, just snip the tip and it will stop growing longer
Hi Richard. I’m getting ready to start a couple dragon fruit plants. I saw a video with you tasting different ones and I was wondering how to get a clipping of Valdivia Roja. I’m in Southern California in Riverside.
thank you for the info about dragon fruit. where can i purchased dragon fruit cuttings?
Thank you bro for the useful information about dragon fruit, I'm a dragon fruit farmer from Dulag, Leyte Philippines
Richard, my dragon fruit plants have some fungus issue. I kept treating it fungus spray, but how could i tell it is the spot needs continuous spray or it was the scars. Thank you
Hi Richard, thanks for all info about dragon fruit. May I know where you buy your fertilizers (FloraNova Grow /Bloom) and Fox Farm Soil? I live here in San Diego. Thank you.
Thanks for the info, bro! One question, what about sun exposure? Full sun? Part sun?
how do you know when to give him a drink? and how often do you give this fertilizer mix?
Hi
What time of the year you cut the tips and how often should I water?
Hi I was wondering if cutting the top off the cuttings was necessary or not?
Hi Richard from Townsville Australia how long after taking a cutting can I keep it before planting cheers pete

Richard, The directions on my recharge say 1/2 Tsp per gallon, which means 2.5 Tsp for 5 gallons, not 2.5 Tbsp like the video shows. 2.5 Tbsp of recharge wound be 7.5 Tsp into 5 gallons. Is this intentional or are you tripling the dosage on purpose?
Also, I have been dosing about 9tsp of grow into a 5 gallon bucket (technucally would be 10 to hit 2tsp per gallon). Should I reduce to 7.5?
Thanks!
Fainlly your saying every other feeding, I fertilize every 2 weeks during growing season, how often are you dosing?
Sir im barely starting out and am thankfull for your videos. Wondering if i can have a clipping of your favorite dragon fruit
How soon after cropping should I see new growth?
Hey brother thanks for all the info. About the dragon fruit. I got a lot of fruits as I speak and flowers still on my plants. I wish I could send you some pictures.
Awesome tips as always. I have been following along with this series and really enjoy it. Question for you - My rooted cuttings topmost section is over a foot long and very skinny, about the width of a finger. As long as it's secured to the trellis, will it eventually plump up and put off another branch? Or should I cut it off to try and stimulate new growth from the thick part below?
I hv the same question Richard. Great information otherwise. 👍
As long as it’s secured to the trellis it will eventually plump up. Once you cut the tip of the cutting they will swell up and put out new growth just like how I demonstrated in today’s video.
Hey, my dragonfruit cutting has rooted and produced a long spindly branch that I believe was due to not having enough sun over the winter, the original cutting is producing a new branch, should I remove the long spindly branch to get a healthier thicker branch, or will the spindly branch thicken as it now has more sun and proper support and I remove the new branch.
What is the right month (here in the Philippines) to prone the dragon fruit.
Do you think planting on just container plants will not easily fall.
What month the flowers grows in USA.
Should I have cut the tops off my DF? They are starting to umbrella (still no fruit) is it too late to cut them now? Or should I let them be? I have 4 types growing in one pot and want to be able to keep track of them,
Man how did you know . I was just finding “ how to take a dragon fruit cutting” and boom! You uploaded
Glad you found me!
Love your videos
Ever tried grafting onto Opuntia/prickly pear?
how do you care dragon fruit on rainy season...is it okay to leave them outside...does daily rain affect bad on plant??
We're about to go into winter in Australia (so not too cold, but it does get to 10degrees C overnite) - my plants look about ready to crop the top off, should I go ahead and do it now or wait til spring?
Hi I am extremely interested in growing my own at home what would you suggest as I live in New Zealand?
What soil do you use?
thank you sharing your idea the way you did to your dragon fruits. can I ask questions? I wanted to try how to plant dragon fruits. I have on but looks too small the body not like yours they are big mine too tin.. I hope I can send u a picture so u can advice me what to do. Thank you so much
tq very much fr the tutorial
Hello, where did you get your trellis ? Thank you
When do I start using the flora bloom?
What happens if we graft a yellow-white with red-red plant
Can we able to get yellow skin red pulp fruit
@@roshankrishnakumar.c1716 No, you will get a yellow-white. You can try using the pollen of one to fertilize the flower of the other, then get the seeds of the fruit and grow them. You might end up getting the yellow skin and red flesh that you want. Just like how children don't always inherited certain traits from each parents, the seedlings are the same. And also, you might want to graft the seedlings to mature plants to speed up the flowering/fruiting process. Otherwise it can take up to 7 years to get fruits from a seed.
Depends if the genetic is E10
Hey, I have some plants that are very well established but they have 2 main branches climbing up. Should I remove one of the branches despite them being strong and healthy? How important is it to have just one main branch?
I would say that it’s better with 2. Traditionally, you would only do 1 because leaving only 1 would speed up the vertical growth process. This is done to reach the top of the trellis as quickly as possible. If you have 2, it takes twice as long for them to reach the top, but you got double the power (2 main branches = 2 main roots in the dirt). Twice as much energy.
Cool bro,Good stuff mate.
Nice crocs!! What model are those?
May I ask where you buy the pot?
Thank you for your content. I need some help with my dragon fruit plant it started to flower and noticed that it has dropped fruit right after flowering. Any direction you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
What is the name of the filtilizers you are using?
So the would you use the recharge with the floranova bloom when ready to use?
Yes, I tend to always use recharge with floranova grow or bloom. This just adds an extra bunch of beneficial microbes to the soil and it never hurts.
Do you use rain water?
Richard, I bought a dragonfruit plant from a nursery & it is already 4' tall when I bought it. I planted it in the ground & am now seeing growth. I don't know what to do next because this is my first one. Can you help if I send you a picture of it?
Bro, can we cut a long cutting into 2 or 3 small pieces and use each of them as a plant?
can nonwoven plastic grow bags be used instead of clay or plastic pots? I don't have any place that sells them locally and they are very expensive online so I'm looking into alternative forms of potting. I still want to use 20 gallons and make a trellis but I'm not sure if using this plastic fabric would be a bad a choice? I would really appreciate the help or even a video on the different pros and cons of different pots used.
Present Learning Naga Fruit Cultivation, Greetings from indonesia🇲🇨
Good video tanks for you information
Richard, my dragon plants (grown from seeds) are about 4-6" tall now. What will happen to the 2 leaves (on the growing plants) and how soon will the plants transform. I am growing them indoors.
We live in Phoenix, AZ, I have a number of dragon fruit plants but they do not produce much due to extreme heat in summer. Is there a variety that will grow and produce well here in Phoenix? Thank you. Bob
