Dried mint, cucumber, garlic, yoghurt... all ingredients that go into a smashing tzatziki sauce. I'm going to utilise that amazing sauce as a marinade for my chicken, all brought together on a bed of lemony rice and onions. Delicious.

As a Greek, I'm thoroughly impressed and inspired 😂
I've recently discovered Avgolemono. Best soup I've ever eaten! 🍋🤤 My new favourite
@@eily_b My wife is a thorough Greek "yiayia" grandmother that is.Makes a killer avgolemono.😋
Is that how you pronounce the word tzatziki, though?
@@angko-pe yes!
Seriously? I've never ever had tzatziki in Greece made with "dry mint". What part of Greece is this from? It has always been made with dill. Fresh dill. Jamie Oliver is the only one who mentions mint.
I'm absolutely droolin'... there's no way you could ever possibly go wrong with Greek food or Greek ingredients!
unlike asian food...
*Vietnam flashbacks about ramen*
@@fakeaccount2913 yes, this is true
I always love Jamie's creations. Am a fan/ follower of Jamie since i was in my teen years and i am 55 years old now!!!!❤️😎😊👍
When you were 19, Jamie Oliver would have been 12. You saw something special in him from an early age, nice to meet such a dedicated fan.
@@Jimmy_MittensFan or perv stalker!!
Good catch, Jimmy!
I think this will turn out to be your best ever series. Mind blown with the plumbs, the monk fish, the wood oven stuffed veg. Just brilliant. ❤❤❤❤
In Greece we love lemon chicken and lemon oven potatoes. In general we love lemons. Thank you Jamie you do magic 😊
FoodTube basically taught me to cook when I was in college 8 years ago, and I’m still in love with learning the craft to this day, continually inspired by outstanding content like this. Thanks Jamie and team!
I agree
We chefs devote our time and basically our lives to our job and the food we make only to end up under-appreciated and some even under paid haha. The efforts you put into your videos are second to none, definitely worth my time . Nice to see cooking can be educative and informative this was so wholesome to watch
This chicken was the Best tasting chicken I ever had so far !! So Delicious!! The Best was the Gravy

Are you going to post a video of your last trip to Tunisia ? We are eager to watch that ❤
Lemon rice how nice 🤙🍍🏝 0:33
So good to see Jamie! Was always one of my favorites.
looks amazing!! My only questioning would be how the lemon skin would taste in the rice, but I guess its going to be nicer than I imagine it after it being in the oven
Jamie Oliver always makes cooking...so easy
Maravillosa la comida y el paisaje❤❤❤
Looks delicious Jamie.I will give it a try soon. Please show us more greek recipes inspired by you.And show us great places like the oneyou cooked the chicken.
Thank you so much, Jamie!! It's very easy but super yum.❤👍
Thanks for inspiring me to try new recipes this looks amazing ❤
Looks so yummy Jamie! Great Job. 😃
This looks truly inspired - and I do not comment on non-vegetarian dishes but I am making an exception for this. So simple it's astonishing! I am really tempted to try out a vegetarian version of this although it could only ever be an approximation.
One thing that gets me though: why does everyone seem to think that tsatziki has mint?
Yoghurt + (optional) fresh dill: tsatziki
Yoghurt + mint: different country, different recipe
I've never seen tsatziki made with mint in Greece; it's always fresh dill, if used at all, or nothing at all and it's never any dried mint or other dried herbs.
The tzatziki has no herbs! Yogurt, cucumber, garlic, vinegar, salt and of course olive oil... Simple and refreshing! If you added herbs you would have another different dish
@@user-hb1jq3xh5q Yes, generally it is made without herbs but many restaurants add fresh dill, either as garnish only or in it as well. So dill is acceptable; some people like it, some people do not so they leave it out. It is not necessary to the recipe though as it does not define the taste - it is optional.
It's Greek-inspired
I got that @@mizpenpen Read my comment again: my objection is to saying that tsatziki has mint. It hasn't. If you add mint, that makes it a different recipe. It completely changes the taste.
Looks really good!
Yum 😋 looks delicious, must try it, thanks Jamie 👍
Wonderful inspiration, once again, Jamie. Thank you. Your setting reminds me of the scenes from the Dirty Rotten Scoundrel’s movie. Is it?
A great dish cooked in the beautiful country of Greece. Thanks Jamie.

Tragano Kotopoulo lemonato 🍋..... Miam miam miam
Using Tzatziki just makes sense. Becuase of this recipe we used it with just some butterflied chicken breast and it worked great.
I'm gonna have a go at this... looks doable.
Thanks for inspiration 👍💗

Wow thsts going to be a must in my kitchen thanks Jamie ❤😊
This dish is a masterpiece! The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the presentation is stunning. You have true talent in the kitchen.👌🤌🤩🤩
Have you tried it yet
@@MrShazaamableexactly: 1.Rice was burnt and not golden
2. 2:1 ratio works well most of the time if you cook it right, not like Jamie did it with evaporating 25%of the water...that's slightly undercooked rice.
@@MrShazaamablenot yet, but I can tell from the video it's yummy, I'm gonna cook it with a little bit of a twist on my channel
I’m combining this spatchcock chicken method with your miso chicken recipe
Thanks!
I'm really into yoghurt right now. i want it with all of my meals. i want to make this with a nice dish of sour, probiotic yogurt on the side to dip it in! Mmmmmm! going to do!

We cook chicken with lemon and yoğurt tastes, salmon with lemon and onion. 😅 We are Türk. But... My mom's from seventh lineage İstanbul. 😅 And writing it, I began to sing an Ottoman song spontaneously. 😅 it's me that is blasted Crescent. 😅

I ADORE READING
Who doesn't love a crispy bottom? klemens gamiesai
Certainly not me 😳
Crispy rice is a Persian way of making rice. We call it tahdig
Me encantas!!!!❤
So the ratio of the rice to water is 2:1? Twice rice than water?
Twice water to rice
Have to admit, that looks good
Nice meal, the browned bottom rice reminds me of Persian Tahdig but using a 2 to 1 ratio, rice to water is the opposite of most rice recipes (most are 1:2) and I thought would be undercooked. Perhaps it's the rice variety being used here?
if you look in the pan, there is already water in there so I think he actually put in four cups and only showed the last one. I agree, the way it is edited it seems say 2 rice to 1 water, but in the written recipe it actually says the opposite.
How fantastic 🎉 were you in Kephalonia?
❤❤❤❤
Does anyone know the name of the Villa where this was filmed?
Where was this filmed?
i luv u jamieeeee
Niiiice

This looks amazing but I’m surprised that rice is fully cooked!
If you look in the pan, there is already water in there when he adds it, I think he actually added four cups of water and just showed the last one. So I think it was just a mistake, he meant to say 2 to one water to rice
You made me think of Gerald Durrell)
