YES YES YES ! I was going to mention it but you beat me to it . When Shaws had it on sale last summer $.33 or so cents limit 4 I bought yup all 12 so have that and other pastas for probably the rest of my life [ I cook for one person ]. I do donate but still have alot and when hungry nothing beats a bowl of pasta with most anything on it
My 3 yr old saw me watching your video and goes mommy that's you, you look pretty. I said that's not me that Maria she makes videos. My 3 yr old goes well she's pretty too. Probably the reason she said that is I also have brown hair and brown eyes and my hair is usually in a bun, lol
It melts my heart how supportive your kids are of you and your channel and cooking. They truly demonstrate grace and appreciation. You're raising wonderful boys. ,🥰
When we grill chicken we grill a bunch and then freeze it in batches so on busy nights I can just take out a pack, heat it, and we can have a quick meal. Great for tacos, chicken pasta, chicken mac and cheese, or to throw on top of a salad.
@misty I’m an older viewer and when I was a kid it was always whole chickens being cooked, they didn’t really sell pieces and certainly not boneless. Anyway, my mom and her friends would bake SIX chickens at a time, they called it ‘Big Batch Chicken Day’ haha and they’d package it all up to have it ready to go for their recipes and since they had so many children it didn’t take long to go through it. ✔️✔️✔️
I like to do 10 lbs of chicken (in batches) in my instapot. Then put into 2 cups shredded servings (about 1 pound each) and freeze to throw recipes together quick. Love thr grill idea!
It's good to have the Gossner shelf-stable milk from the Dollar Tree in your pantry too. It's good milk and there are no hormones in it. It's great for making a variety of sauces for your pasta.
That's what I forgot at Costco last night. Real bacon bits. I toss it in salads, into scrambled eggs. Last bag I bought lasted over a month. My mom put pork chops in her marinara sauce as the meat. It's still relatively cheap. So good.
Can we just acknowledge adorable little guy patiently waiting with plate on his head 😆😆😆 loving it !!! All looked and sounded very good and easy. Subbing now . Thank You !!
While growing up, my Mother never made any type of pasta and even though I use it occasionally, I’m not a big fan of it but love spaghetti but I love a little pasta with lots of sauce. These dishes look so delicious!!!!
for the first recipe you could brown a pound of beyond beef, beyond sausage, tofu, soy curls or TVP to make it a vegetarian version also. lots of options for veg versions
You may want to lower your heat a bit when you throw your butter in . Rather start with lower then hot , your butter won't turn brown. Unless you want brown butter for a recipe. I could never cook with electric 🤫 My cooking improved with gas / propane... I control the heat better. I love your videos ...so good 👌
I've never had pesto, will have to try this one! The last one would be so good, unbaked and cold out of the fridge as a pasta salad, maybe with some frozen sweet peas added, thank you!
Yea pasta ! I have so much pasta - my Shaws had it on special last summer $.39 each limit 4 boxes. I qualify for a low income senior commodity food box which always includes pasta. I have so much I donate and share with friends. It is a great addition to any pantry and does not spoil. Really enjoyed your recipes 😊
The real bacon pieces from Sam's club is the best we use them in pasta salads, eggs, chicken salad, green salads we find tons of uses for them. I made homemade chicken broccoli Alfredo for my family this week and they loved it I am going to try the chicken bacon ranch pasta.
They all look great, I do love pesto. But the chicken bacon ranch really got the taste buds going (without really tasting it). I think tonight is the night for that , I've got all the ingredients. I've Only been subscribed for a short while, I don't think I have commented before but wanted you to know I really enjoy watching. I love when you make comments about what you should have done a d some boo-boos you may do, it's like me, real people, real food.
😀 it’s definitely real life cooking over here! I’m so glad you enjoy the videos! I 100% recommend you make that chicken bacon ranch casserole it’s a winner!!!
Oh my goodness, Hidden Valley just came out with a dairy free ranch dressing, and I'm totally going to make the chicken bacon ranch recipe in a dairy free version (I'm allergic). I'm so excited to try it!! Thank you!
Great ideas to stretch meals, easy delicious, keep these coming, My oven died no money to buy a new one, I have an instapot, electric frying pan. And a table top oven. I get buy that way. My instapot is so versatile.
I think these look delicious, great ideas especially when you are short on time. I love pasta, but my diabetes tells me I can't have it very often anymore, I think I'm going to try some of the alternative pastas made from chick peas or other options that would be lower in carbs. Thanks for sharing.
I buy the real bacon bits from Sam’s Club and Costco BUT I sauté/fry it up before using it otherwise we think it tastes too chewy and fatty. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
If your pots are ever too hot because you've boiled pasta, keep the burner off and use the residual heat and only turn the burner back on when things aren't sizzling anymore.
Your baby is adorable!!! Loved seeing him eating and really enjoying his 1st taste. It was my favorite part . The recipes also looked great, he just looked greater. Thank you for quick, easy recipes!!
Here's a reason to add that cheese to the ravioli before wrapping it up - or to use plastic wrap instead of or in addition to the foil. The acid in tomato sauce can react with the aluminum and eat holes in the foil, making a potential mess in the fridge AND making your casserole taste unpleasantly metallic. I don't like to put on the cheese until about 15 minutes before the casserole is done baking, so I either wrap my casserole in plastic wrap if it's just overnight or put a piece of plastic between the food and the foil if I'm doing it longer or putting it in the freezer.
Maria do you leave the fat on the chicken breast? There's also a little bit of gristle where it attaches to the rib meat. Am I the only one who trims this off?
Don't think so, might have helped before diabetis but maybe I could substitute quinoa and make some of your recipes every once in awhile! I'm gonna live on the edge!

I love all your recipes. You make real food on a budget and your son with a plate on his head is a hoot.

Such a great idea! I had extra after these meals and made my husband a quick burrito bowl with it! Gotta love cooking ahead!

Good tip!
I have the same casserole dish as the one you used for the ravioli lasagna! So pretty, 😊

Yum! I need to try those out next time I get to a store like that?
I made the chicken bacon ranch pasta yesterday OMG so good! Thanks for sharing!
The Kraft Creamy Mozzarella always melts perfectly.

Yum! Great idea! Definitely try pesto 😍
You can make your own pesto if pine nuts don’t agree with you (like me). I use sunflower seeds instead.
Your herb garden so cute
Mine is more like landscape
For real!! 😋😋
Aw thanks. It’s doing ok 😅 I don’t think her. Gardening is what I’m best at 🤷♀️

Ahhhh yay!!!!!
Love these! I wish I could cook like this.
Loved seeing your bubbas shoveling salad in. Most kiddos don't eat salad well.
As long as it’s covered in ranch dressing they will eat it 🤣

I really enjoy your budget friendly content. Thanks for reminding me to use pesto!
If you have a frozen product that has clumped together, a restaurant tip is to bang the frozen bag or drop it. It will separate well.
I loved this video. You put it all together so beautifully. Yummy meals, EZ on $$, and Great Optics. I have subscribed 😍Awesome
Aw yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🥰 thank you for subscribing!!
I love all of your videos. You have amazing budget meal ideas and your personality is so welcoming. Keep up the great content!

I actually used a ancient harvest pasta for both of the penne recipes! It’s a corn, brown rice, and quinoa pasta!!! No one can even tell!!
I buy the real bacon bits from Sam’s Club and Costco BUT I sauté/fry it up before using it otherwise we think it tastes too chewy and fatty. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
Smart idea!!
Zucchini would be amazing in this!
Really like the low cost nutricious recipes, thank you!
You’re welcome 🙏❤️
Great ideas for quick meals. Also very affordable.
😀😀
Girl these look delicious!
Thank you Cathy!
You can get a bag of real bacon pieces at Walmart for about $2. I keep one around for potato soup.
Perfect!!
Yum!! All of them!!
😀😀
Thanks for the great recipes.
Funny how I have a box of penne pasta in my pantry. That chicken bacon ranch pasta looks really tasty I'm gonna have to try that one 😋
Absolutely! You will love it!
Winner dinners!

Aw so glad he brought you joy!
Love this but I would put sliced tomatoes on top then the cheese
I really enjoy watching your videos and have gotten some great ideas from them.
But ravioli is already plural. Individually they are raviolo :)
Browned butter is delicious! You an put it on mashed potatoes or anything really.
Yum
Another great cooking video, Maria
Thank you! ❤️🙏

Hi Maria 👋
Hi Maria!!
cool
Maria do you leave the fat on the chicken breast? There's also a little bit of gristle where it attaches to the rib meat. Am I the only one who trims this off?
Yah, you can definitely cut it off!
Have a petty Day🌸
😀 you too!
I do but it can be so bad for A1C level
I’ve heard that but there are some really good alternatives these days!
I thought I was the only one who did this because I was just to much in a hurry to go the whole lasagna route
Yes, pasta is awesome, except if you have diabetes…sad but true. But the rest of the family can eat it…😀
I actually used a quinoa, brown rice, corn blend called ancient grains. Not sure if that helps!
@@MealsWithMaria really? Ok I’ll look into it ty so much!
Wheat shortage is coming. Pasta won't be cheap much longer if you can even get it.
❤️❤️🌻🌻😇⚓️🙏yummy
😀😀
Can't eat pasta....I'm diabetic.
I’m not sure if this helps but I buy a brand called ancient grains that is made of brown rice, quinoa, and corn. It’s delicious!
Don't think so, might have helped before diabetis but maybe I could substitute quinoa and make some of your recipes every once in awhile! I'm gonna live on the edge!
How is it classified as budget with a pint of cream?!
Probably depends on your area prices. Cream here right now is cheaper than milk is!
pasta is not the cheapest, grits are.
