- This is a live version of "Dreaming While You Sleep" at the beginning of the We Can't Dance tour in the USA. It sounds considerably stronger than the one which made it to the DVD. Audience-sourced, this is from no official release so please UA-cam, do not block this one. It's all for the joy of sharing.
Goosebumps, beautiful and dramatic song, especially when Phil pushes the note to 6.45 minutes, 👏👏👏
I was there! The entire astrodome started shaking when mike stepped on that pedal.
Yes it did. I was working one block north of the old blimp base in Spring, TX. where they were practicing for weeks in the empty hanger. They Houston show was delayed about an hour because they were waiting on the Jumbotron from the previous nights opening show in Dallas.
Absolutely brilliant! Have listened to this tens of times. I love how strong Phil Collins sounds on this recording. I notice they repeat the chorus one extra time at the end - like the record version. I love this because we get to hear that incredible melody with amazing chords and lyrics one more time. Thanks for this saffi01 :)
ΔRE YOU DREAMING VVVILE YOU SLEE?
Superb and dramatic at the same time this song, at 6.45 min, goosebumps!
Phil sounds superb here!
Absolutely breathtaking!
Dreaming while you sleep. I love this song.
It's truly amazing what can be used for a song and how much it fit for the choice of this song.
As I just noticed the questions for the first time - I did create this image back then for this specific video, and it was not a conscious choice for Julia Stiles. I wanted to create a mood similar to the videos shown on the concert screens, and her facial expression was appropriate for this specific picture.
Yes it looks perfect for the song! It's a still of her from The Cry of the Owl, right?
Brilliant
yes; thanks would have figuried that, but the black'n'white drawing photo as seen does fit some of what i've seen from live show, but as i said it is a nice touch for the story of the song.yes nice toch on your effort.from a fan of 40 plus such as i,thanks again
And it's Houston, Texas.
yes; this is a great track and was wondering (the photo?) who is the cover of? was it back-ground from stage? thanks
Julia Stiles
Hi there. Was this in 1992?. If it was, I was at that concert.
Hi. Yes, this is from 1992.
Thank you very much for letting me know.
@@guypearce7920 Are you THE Guy Pearce? The one that starred in Memento? If so, I'm honoured to be able to write this to you. Memento remains one of my favourite films largely because of your amazing acting in it.
Ďreaming of Ďulia Stiles
Yeah, but why Julia Stiles?
It wasn't a conscious choice for her specifically, I simply needed a woman with a facial expression appropriate to what I was trying to display. And thanks for pointing out my typo, I'm surprised noone noticed that one before.
This is one of those cases where the album version is far superior. Just way too much reverb on both this and the official video. The album version is way better.
'It sounds considerably stronger than the one which made it to the DVD.' No. No it doesn't.
