That harmonic vibration noise you are talking about is from blade flexing. That is a very common issue with very soft blades and high head speed. That is why you don’t hear it when the head speed is lower and you only hear it when you turn the head speed up. If you go to a better/stiffer blade that noise will go away. Kind of a shame to see that they released that model with such soft main blades!
I like helicopters because I can fly them at my neighborhood park. The park is not big enough for planes. I can't even fly upside down using the simulator. That little thing did great in that wind. After all these years I finally noticed your little bunk bed above your battery cabinet. So cool.
It really does, but still not a perfect choice. It's cheap, give REAL 3D experience, and since you can add in a proper Tx, you could really get a lot out of this plane!
Excellent review Brian! Will add it to my RC collection. What transmitter do you recommend to fly Eachine, Rage, XK planes and helis? I am full of trxs now. Need a universal radio for those 3 brands. The one you are using in the video looks cool.
Many people use OPEN TX choices, but I have not had the best of luck with my Open Tx offerings. Although my T8SG has been okay, I have to work so hard to get it setup, that I just basically gave up on it. There are better offerings, now-a-days, which are supposed to be pretty good! Hey Brian, loved your F18 video landing on the USS Philiips carrier strip, ballsy and loved it best flying foam jet I've seen, I'm a plane guy as well, going backwards never really feels natural, loved you saying "i'm don't like feeling on the edge of catastrophe", but this one looks promising. My question is do think the 120S is the best flying bang for the buck lil' heli
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. This and other small heli's all have a niche, and it's HARD for me to know what everyone needs, so it's good there's something for almost everyone ;)
My E120s arrived this week... my first collective pitch heli, and I'm still trying to figure out the transmitter. Any clue what the meaning of the red and blue lights on the transmitter are supposed to indicate?
@@BrianPhillipsRC I've ordered a new swash plate on Ali Express and bangood and a few other spares.. it was my favourite because it was new but we have multitude indoor heli's like the c129 Firefox and e120 but the e120s is v powerful for indoor 😊 cheers Brian.. I really like the look of the new Concendo Evo mini.. I have the 1.5 Evo and it's awesome 👍 have just ordered the small sniclo fpv crawler
maybe i got unlucky with mine, i wanted a smaller heli to have some training in my garden but for me this thing just caused a ton of problems. always random midflight motor-shutdowns, gyro frequently completely freaked out like abruptly tilting in any direction without any input, i did even buy spare parts and made sure everything is put well together but it still wont fly properly. Bangood will also not show any reviews that are negative or not rated 5 stars on this product. and also the customer support just entirely ignores any questions/trouble shooting. i would just go with a Blade when going for a heli this size, they always work properly out of the box and if not Horizon does actually have a customer support.
I'm sure you've heard of the OMP M1 and M1 evo. Stateside retailers and they support their product and will answer your questions and concerns. I love my OMP m1, high quality bang for your buck!!
This makes the XK 100 - 110 - 120 - 130's last Century's & pretty much obsolete. Amazing Bird for the price . The open mouth Whale Shark looks is kinda weird , though.
U should be a little more kind to ur camera crew. No hate brian but she helps u all the time and she can't see inside ur head. So if she needs to move somewhere for a better shot the word please before the sentence does a lot. Great video btw 💪👍
You do want to keep switching between 3D and 6G modes. That is why he crashed. DO NOT FOLLOW his advice on this. Hes doing this to save his battery from dying sooner
I'm not trying to save batteries - what are you talking about?!?! I just don't have the skills to fly the heli the way a better RC pilot would be able to fly it, thus flipping between modes. Not sure why you would say what you said. I thought I made all this pretty clear from what I say in the video.
Heli videos can definitely exaggerate the bossiness. She was getting nervous and I was getting scared about her being in the wrong place at the wrong time, by moving erratically. We usually work really well together, but this was an example of one of our harder days filming together. She was scared I was going to hit her with the heli (or that the heli was going to hit her), and I was afraid I was going to hit her with the heli (or the heli was going to hit her). Since she kept moving where I didn't expect her to move and at times I wasn't expecting it, I wasn't able to make decisions in a timely way, which really distracts me as a pilot, and as her husband who care about her safety MORE than getting the shot. She's pretty die hard about getting the shot, but when her moves OR my moves are somewhat unusual, it makes for a bad mis-match and requires more communication. These communications usually comes across as "bossy"...there isn't time to be "nice" out there, even if we might otherwise be able to do so, it's a small, and somewhat unpredictable flying thing, and close quarters. Either way, the heli is okay, Megan and I made it through another weird / tough situation, and all is well. If you manage to film a single video with your wife, please do let me know so I can watch, we've got close to 2000 videos, and we've been married for almost two decades...we DO fight, and we DO have bad days, but we're quick to apologize and work through these realities of our strange circumstances. I can only wish you the best with your wife, or future wife, should you be interested.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I have an old one from 5 years ago……it was an xk drone whirlwind I’ll try it…..but I think it’s too old…..anyway it might be a blessing in disguise because now I can go get a better transmitter. Thanks for the response. Your videos are very helpful. 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice solid appearing Heli. Reminds me of a Blade 120. Seems like a decent transmitter for a RTF package. Nice video, thank you.

That noise was that little helicopter? Thats crrrrrazy!
Nice flying. Thanks for sharing.
Pretty dang cool. Looks like it has decent power on 2S.

cool chopper and great flight
Thanks! I think the heli has some serious potential, and meets a need for those wanting 3D AND Help getting there! Love that it's economical too!

so does it mean if you increase the expo to a positive number, the heli will react faster and does this also means that it would flip faster?

Brian check out the servo make shure thay are tight
Another good training heli is the xk100 or 110 3d 6g
does the echine e6 work on the e120rc heli
top
Thanks ;)
Well you should be flying it straight out the box don't mess with settings let people see how it flys straight out the box
We did, just watch longer...it's shown after the unbox part. Sorry for the confusion.
They tried copying the dji fpv startup sound but failed so the helicopter sounds like a horn! #stayepic
can you explain in German Language do you have any Printouts ??

I ordered this helicopter and when it came it was missing the transmitter.
Now I have to order one and wait another month.
Sorry to hear you had this experience - how frustrating!!! Do you have any other heli's from Eachine or XFly? They might actually work.
