The solo by Slash at the end of this song, starting at 8:37, is awesome. On the actual album it starts roughly at about the same time mark when Axl sings the line "Got your mind in submission".
However, this is also a perfect example of why I do not like the way the Illusion albums were mixed, because on the actual album you cannot hear the damn thing. I could always tell that Slash was doing something in the right speaker other than just playing chords, but it is so turned down you can't make out exact notes. I caught onto the barely audible rythym guitars in the Illusion albums pretty quickly after buying them as a kid, and that has been my biggest criticism of those albums. Such a shame that this solo was buried by poor mixing. You can really hear Slash pouring his emotion into it as he plays. Thank you Tyler for unearthing it for all of us to enjoy.
But you could say the same about each instrument. That's what make this part very special
