However, it's safe to say, that it certainly hasn't been a path paved without its own set of problems.

Even though she doesn't "deserve" her fame, it's not her fault that people are simps, the hate is directed at the wrong person. She has the most unproblematic personality out of all the popular tiktokers.

They literally design it like that on purpose. Tiktok has mastered the algorithm taking advantage of people's natural instincts to keep them online as long/often as possible by increasing their ego. One way to do that is to give them the attention they're craving, by making it extremely easy to build an audience in a very short time. And the viewers get recommended certain types of content based on age, location, gender, etc. to keep them within a small echo chamber as much as possible. Tiktok feeds off young people craving attention more than any other social media I've seen. They have that shit down to a science.

You don't need to "deserve" anything on social media. People are the ones who set who they make famous or not. It has nothing to do with talent.
I'd say 50/50. You get people with no talent who make it big, but you also have creators who work their butt off for years, working toward that big break, which eventually comes. The people with no talent fade into irrelevance relatively fast most of the time, though (with obvious exceptions like the Kadashians, who simply stay famous for being famous). More talented creators can stay relevant for years (Mark Rober for example has uploaded seven videos in the last year, all of them extremely creative, and his over 22 million subscribers patiently wait for the next one, because they know it will be awesome).
I don’t really know or like her, but just checked her music (and found some background story about her childhood) and must say: she has talent and a likable personality, so I guess she can keep her followers satisfied and deserves where she is today.

It does not surprise me that a young "hot" or "cute" girl would appeal to others in her age bracket. Someone like me (who is in the mid thirties) doesn't see anything of value here in Bella.

I think it's because our collective entertainment economy has completely flipped so quickly. back no more than 20 years ago, famous people were generally people who'd we spend money on, produced by hard work and talent. Musicians, actors, authors, and maybe artists - people who create a fanbase for their work. Public figures like politicians and royalty used to be more considered celebs a while ago.
Now it's influencers, content creators.
If you check any post announcing the Celebrity Big Brother cast, every single boomer complains that these people aren't celebs. Really? Lamar Odom? Todrick Hall? Carson Cressley?? They're celebs. People have such narrow minded ideas of what fame means.
It's defined by how known a person is, not by their content.
