Fun Fact: If you build in the Oak Tree Can, you can actually get 3 floors in there. Just make sure that you can place a door to the can. Because if you don't double check and clipping isban issue so you can never place a front door, wasps WILL fly in your base during raids.

The floating can at the western flower bed can be built in with floating foundations. Literally indestructible as nothing can access it. It’s tiny but a great spot.
Who needs to build up? You pant launch yourself up there with daredevil equipped so you don't die takes some rng but faster than building the staircase
I've built on the pond on the water lilies, there is no raid there, not even flying insects, you can set up ziplines to bring the building stuff from both the upper yard and the other side. And if you plant mushrooms and make a bridge to the water lilies, you would think you gonna be raided, but no. And then you got ton of aphids and such coming around waking around on the lilies, not to mention a nearby juice brick wich can be used to store juice! The final advantage, late game you can build many floors and place a zipline relay that will connect to almost avery high ground in the garden. Its a blast and you can build multiple structure on each water lily and link them with bridges, make water acces to the lab inside your house, etc. Well I stop here, but try it you will love it.!
I reckon building on (and inside) the Javamatic is a better shout then the brawny boy bin top. No shield bugs, high enough for some zip lines, quicker to build up to, heaps of room. No ground raids, and the air raids are limited if u build inside the beaker, so much space in there
@@paraly5er I’ve never had ant problems from them, aggro doesn’t reach through the table top unless u build up to the corner back there. They don’t block off too much of the local resource besides a few mushrooms which u can get more of at the undershed entrance a short walk away
I built my base in the pagoda and I did want to say something about the way the raids work I figured it out that if you build your base in the pagoda and then you add a few structures on the outside rocks on the tree side the raids will actually start there, which means that flying enemies will be attacking you from over there instead of at your base I think it’s a glitch or something but I’ve never been attacked by any wasps well at that base because of the structures built on the rocks
@@paraly5er I think it has something to do with what they consider to be your base but if something is considered to be a base and then you start a raid, they will go for that one instead
It would be cool if when a full group of 4 people are in a lobby together they should be able to fight the koi fish and it has like insane health. Would be a sick gang fight icl
An alternative to the can base at the pond for me is the root right next to it. You can build a structure out from the tip of the curled root so your base wont touch the ground. I have a three story villa that can't be ground attacked.
For me the best can base is the can that’s partially submerged right before the entrance to the undershed. A few floating platforms and bam! Cozy and secure.
Another odd location ive built a great base was way up in the bricks on the side of the Shed wall. Theres lots of small caps inside to build deeper rooms and i made a shanty town along the wall.
As a big fan of the Hedge Interior as a base location, here's some easier entry points: 1. Go to the far corner with a milk molar. At the 2nd bush trunk to the west (direction of the sandbox), the back of the hedge has no collisions. you can build up into the hedge from that point. It extends a little further, but that spot has a nice convenient surface to build from. You still want a teleporter, since you can't really stop ground raids, but that's your only weak point. The location is that big "room" with the broodmother lair. 2. this one is nice and convenient, but again, not great without teleporters for defense. Go through the Hedge Lab all the way to the exit. on the raised platform. The edge of the rock wall nearest to the house lines up perfectly with a gap in the hedge that gets you up onto the fence. Obviously, with how many spiders are in that side of the hedge, this isn't very safe, but if you just need a temporary bridge up, it is by far the easiest given the stockpile of resources at the end of the lab. Just follow the walkway to a convenient branch that you can build up from into the interior. You are now in an upper section of that same Broodmother room. 3. This one kinda defeats the purpose of not doing the up and around strategy, but it is another alternate entry if, again, you tear down the staircase to keep ground enemies out. At the edge of the upper yard behind the black widow near the castle, you can build up to that same part of the fence from earlier, just a little way back. You can even build into an earlier nook, keeping in mind that the fence is your only foundation. It looks like you have sky access, but there's actually an invisible wall, the only one I've found in the game, which leaves only one exposed area. with lots of leaves to get the ai stuck on.
Just build in the right window of the shed (build a staircase from the top of the baseball bat) and place ziplines for easy access to almost anywhere in the map. All the raid (and i mean ALL the raid) i ever had failed and my base remains untouched to this day. And even if wasps manage to come up there you just have one side to protect, and only a small part because of the existing planks that are unbreakable. And the space is huge. Specially if you make floors. It’s just a pain to build so craft a plank holder and move it along from the ground to your base. Hands down the best spot imo. Hope this helps.
My base is the wooden pillars fence thing dont know what its called at the oak tree next to the can its just bluid a staircase its safe from ground raids not from air raids its probably the second or third best spot in the game you dont need a floor for most of it
My fav location for a decent sized base is the flat stepping stone rock after you go up the BBQ area. That big rock that forms one of the steps in the path to the shed. Yes, you can get raided but it's a wide open space and pretty flat. Build with mushroom brick etc and you'll be fine.
Isn't anybody sad it's the last update for grounded? I'm not sure if it means no more balance updates, but I really love this game. I really hope they make grounded 2 one day. Excited to play 1.4.
So glad they added new game plus. I know not loved by everyone. It definitely adds replay ability depending on the way you play, and it seems pretty rewarding although I haven’t experienced it for myself quite yet
I also built a base in the Milk Molar bottle in the upper yard by the toy car. Only issue is that a ladybird spawns right next to the only entrance which i had to find it's exact spawn location to kill them box in so it would be trapped when it spawns. There's also lots of fire ants near there unfortunately but now at least we can tame them. The threats nearby did cause me to make the base into a really cool fortress with multiple courtyard as I expanded my territory through the nearby jungle. One of my favorites now. The one under the picnic table is also a great base location
It's VERY important you trap that Ladybird because it can and WILL glitch inside the bottle occasionally and if it does that it's quite literally a bull in a china shop situation. Had that base interior completely destroyed 3 times before successfully trapping it's spawn location.

I honestly did not know that they were adding teleporters to grounded. Obviously, I didn’t watch your stream. I only got like a little snippet Cause I had to do some house chores
Did you just climb straight up a wall?
i don't think oak tree works unless im doing something wrong every work bench near the tree gets obstructed and can't be build near it
Uh how the heck you just Spider-Man running up that wall in your oak tree base? 🤯
ive been living in the pagoda for 346 days its goated
Nice
The pond in general is safe from ground enemies.
How did u climb the wall like that? 3:38-3:42
Trampolines with collisions glitched
bounce elevators, the collision box of the trampolines reach through the outside of the walls, and you hold forward on the wall and it bounces you up.
Bounce webs behind the wall
I have a base on the pogota and am making one in the upper yard near the brawny boy bin and the rocket
I am done with the first part
i built one of my bases in one of the pots in the snadbox cuz i thought i'll be unique and they put more cacti inside and one of them being right where my entrance was ant that ruined my favourite base simmilar story with the cutters in the hedge
Nooooo
Should’ve added a Salt Staff that shoots barrages of far range salt shards😞
