Honestly, I'm not sure why you haven't been offered the true title of the most interesting man in the world by some sort of title giver. Thanks for the videos!
I was interested in the fur trade back when I was a teenager. (I was a weird kid). My father knew a person where he worked who trapped beaver. My dad brought home for me, my very own beaver skull! The problem was that it still had all the meat on it. We had a pile of rocks on our property, so I put the beaver head in a coffee can, cut a small hole in the plastic lid, and buried it in that rock pile. At the end of summer, I dug it out and that skull was clean as a whistle. No flesh left on it. The bugs had found it and ate all that old beaver up!
looks like a mansion with barn and farm because the big oak trees...in my understand back in 1800's, wealthy people like to planted oak trees in front of their house or yard. I could be wrong but just guessing. :)
Nice hike..... Do you sometimes carry a GPS tracking type of device to record your walking trail and mark the suspected house sites so you could get back to them for certain?
Ya Davidsot it's the human condition. we seek what we like. inspection determination and the will to do rule - lol I have a pin pointer and a new medal detector
Found an old well when I was a kid. It had very paltry limbs covering it and when you threw a rock in it (had to be 30 feet deep or more) a very bad stench came out. A guy up the street worked on cars and had car parts strewn everywhere on his property. Talked him out of an old trunk lid, which we (my friends and I) carried back in the woods to cover it better.
I metal detect in Toronto Ontario Canada, and I like detecting in the woods, I am learning a lot from watching your videos. I am trying to find colonial home sites, not a lot in the Toronto area, but I know they are somewhere in the woods, I just have to discover them. Thank you so much for doing such good and informative videos.
MrMikepresley You are a bit south of us here in Minnesota, but how is the frozen ground out there? As of today we can go 8 inches before hitting frozen ground.
Hey Scott, just the last week or so, the ground is mostly melted, just a few small area of flat land is still frozen. I have been out detecting last few weeks and its been warm out. Sounds like you are getting similar weather.
MrMikepresley Yes, almost 70 yesterday and then a tornado touched down 9 miles north and wrecked a few homes. Weird winter as no ice on the Mississippi and no snow cover for a couple weeks now. Hope it is good hunting out there for you, I bet historically it must be phenomenal.
The lovely yellow flower is called coltsfoot. It is native to the UK also but very rare,It was lovely to see them scattered about like that. They bloom late February, early March.
I had one of my racks on my shed and the squirrels decimated it. The turkey fans are in the garage so at least they are protected. Have them dusted with Borax. Nice afternoon jaunt Beau.
Man, i've been looking for a large number of turkey feathers for arrows i'm making! Went crazy seeing all those axe heads (i collect them)...now the feathers! You're killing me haha. Fun and interesting video as always.
That one dark pit looked like a well. Did you see the stone going around it in such a nice rounded shape? That would be an interesting place to poke around in more.
You have really helped drive my adventures. im a metal detector i use a Garret ace 400 and i also do magnet fishing I have found some cool stuff. i plan on getting an at pro when i can fork up the cash.
I've got a nice collection of them. I was in the woods the other day and found a dead buck with a nice pair of antlers plus some very nice old bottles.
Imported and trade stone is a fantastic thing if you like to research or know where and how far away it originated..Kinda like the oldest coin or artifacts found and wanting to know their history, one reason I am addicted to this channel, thanks!
You make me miss ridge walking and caving. You can bury that deer skull in the soil, leaving the antlers exposed, and the ground beetles will clean that skull up for you in about 2 or 3 months.
Reminds me of hunting with my dad as a kid and I founds a deer in that state keep it's head with antlers for years I need to go looking for some again fun to walk through the woods
Hey Beau, do you carry a GPS with you to mark all the locations that you visit and did that dead head have a little spike growing on the right side at the base of the antlers?
You don’t care about my lifespan ? I thought we had built a repore!! You have been my hero for years. This hurts, ouch ouch. I have lived vicariously through you and your adventures!!! You are a grey-headed old fart like myself….
no, um we have had so many people go out and look when it was to early, and they closed it down until April 1st, cause the deer and elk were dying off to fast with a harsh winter.
I'm looking forward to your next vid of that site with your detector!! I also hope to get out some this winter with my AT Gold. Too hot here at any other time of year.
Hey Chigg... great videos, been following you for a couple of years. Had a question for you. I currently have a At gold. Was looking to upgrade. How did you like the CTX when you used it. I live in NC. I usually relic hunt and old homesites similar to what you do. I'm up in the air between the Deus and CTX. Thanks for any input and keep the great videos coming!!!!! Take care and HH. Tony.
That's a awsome dead head! That's a funky point on the back right antler? You got me into metal decting this year thanks, glad to see your into sheds found my first match set when I was 10
Honestly, I'm not sure why you haven't been offered the true title of the most interesting man in the world by some sort of title giver. Thanks for the videos!
Deer skulls are cool, I've never gotten one yet, but I'm hoping for one.
could you sell the antlers
Yes, he said collectors want them, so he prob does sell them.

From digging relics from the ground, Chigg's now wants to join them underground and see their perspective. He's come a long way from the early videos.
Hey Chigg, do you bring a compass or GPS with you or do you just have a really good sense of direction?
Nice hike share. Thanks again
Can't wait for next video in that area.

I've got a nice collection of them. I was in the woods the other day and found a dead buck with a nice pair of antlers plus some very nice old bottles.
that area was definitely cleared at one time.
With all the caves and I assume limestone, do you ever find really nice chert nodules?
Imported and trade stone is a fantastic thing if you like to research or know where and how far away it originated..Kinda like the oldest coin or artifacts found and wanting to know their history, one reason I am addicted to this channel, thanks!

Hey Beau, do you carry a GPS with you to mark all the locations that you visit and did that dead head have a little spike growing on the right side at the base of the antlers?
Flower looked like Coltsfoot, folk remedy for coughs.
What state are you in when detecting and cave searching? And how do you find so many caves?
I love shed hunting of course I live in Utah and they closed it down until April 1st
Daxton Kaas utah aswell. sucks they do that here!
when the dog cornered a groundhog in the stonewall we would dig them out making holes like that one.
yo whats up Aquachigger from the NETHERLANDS
you make really cool videos

How do you clean up a skull like that? Boil the meat off it? We used to put them in the middle of a big ant bed.
You don’t care about my lifespan ? I thought we had built a repore!! You have been my hero for years. This hurts, ouch ouch. I have lived vicariously through you and your adventures!!! You are a grey-headed old fart like myself….

Go to northeastern Pa. they have elk and you should see those sheds.
May be acouple good detector spots in the wood there , looking forward to the vids , see ta next time !
Wow...great skull! It is rare to find such a big one in good shape. All the ones I tend to find are either small or in bad shape. lol
ok thanks
no, um we have had so many people go out and look when it was to early, and they closed it down until April 1st, cause the deer and elk were dying off to fast with a harsh winter.
