My first long caving lasted 18 hours and rescued 2 professional photographers. Ordinary folks who got in over their head, as it was. That cave cartography is today more than 40 miles of known length and no end has been found by explorers. I know of of much longer caves. Caves on Federal; property are being explored by paid young adults trained to do the task properly. If this was unheard of then let me suggest more discovery done elsewhere.
This is why I love this channel. We get to see some quality exploring all the while finding some hidden gems. Then casually dropping a trailer park reference just tops this off with the best channel on UA-cam
hey "chig".. I have been watching your videos for nine years. Your first video was when you found that miniball snorkeling. I want to thank you for giving us 9 years of your life and teaching us so much about history and knowledge of the area you live in and Beyond. not too many people speak their mind so I thought I would. LOL. Please continue your videos. And remember, "HOLD YOUR BREATH".. your friend, Brian.
I lived in a home for 5 years that was illegally built on several sink holes. Thank god, it was just a rental... but by the time we moved out, the basement cracked and flooded (much loss), the porch sunk a good 5 inches and new holes were developing. Every time it rained or flooded, all water in my neighborhood (was surrounded by farms) drained into the holes. My pooch lost his favorite football in one... didn't realize it was so deep until that ball kept going and going.... I never heard it drop or saw it.... Also all kinds of broken toys and electronics started coming out of the ground! 😩😩😂😂 sink holes can be scary.
The 40 foot shaft would probably the easiest to excavate. Have you seen a vacuum excavator truck? They suspend the vacuum on the end of a boom and just suck the dirt out. No one has to dig with a shovel or risk falling in.
Hey Beau! You crossed over onto another part of the internet the "ifunny" app. Someone posted a screen shot of you sitting at a table covered with knives. Meme says " this guy going to jail for 17 murders he didn't commit " I wish there was a way to post a pic here! It is funny.
There's a couple old wells by my house that I would love to dig out, one still has water flowin into it but two others don't, what would be the best way to dig them out and to clean out the one that has water in it?
My ,most easy cave entry area was no deeper than 30 feet of tropic ocean . water. SCUBA certified I was and schooled by the US Army for that location. That military is still there and needs young adults to do interesting jobs.
The warm season approaches. Soon chigg will come out of his hibernating caves and migrate thousands of miles down rivers. Would you ever do these cave explorations in the warmer seasons or is there something about the season, such as bugs, that would make it more difficult?
Hey chigg, there is an abandoned chalk mine near Iuka, MS. I visited it while on vacation just the other day. its pretty cool, you should check it out when you're in the area
I'm tired of Louisiana. I'm going to move back north because I miss land like the one you explored in this video. Swamps are cool, but caves are far, far more beautiful.
When I find an open cave entry I'm happy to let somebody else go find it. What I'm looking for is an entry I can make with a shovel. This lends assurance I'm entering a virgin.
I can't help thinking, charcoal face mask, every time I see you crawl into one of those caves. Breathing some of that dust could be deadly. Love the video's, but be safe.
must get spoke some times ....I know it is in the water.//.......was that a shaft from a mine...that last one looked like white quartzite ....could be someone looking for gold in the old time...SALUTE
Interesting history about DDT. One book I read makes a strong case that the director of the EPA ignored the in depth report researched about the pesticide and made its use illegal for "other" reasons. Claims are that over fifty million Africans and Asians died because there has never been an adequate replacement. Arguments were made that birds of prey had weakened egg shells and reduced reproductive rates. Wonder how this same director would think about the birds of prey and electrical generation windmills?
Beau--you need a drone with a camera that records--that way you can view the land with a new perspective and study it along with the geology of the land, may help more--also burn to DVD and file it in a log with==state, area, county etc--even add the history with it.
Kind of hoping there's too much of a cave system for the land to be developed... so much trash littered everywhere :( that last cave with the dual entries was awesome!
we are cavers and members of the NSS National speleological Association. the website is www.caves.org i want to let you know its really dangerous to go in caves without a helment and a hand held flashlight can kill you as it can be dropped and fall where you can not find it or reach it and then its too dark to get out. please buy a helmet and head lamp. a zibra light is what i recomend. we,love your channel and hope you report your cave finds to the NSS. hugs
You were featured on an app called IFUNNY. It was the video called "My collection of knives I found in rivers... all free" and it had the caption "That guy is gunna get arrested for 17 murders he didn't commit". Haha. I think I'm the only one on the app that watches you.
Glad there wasn't a wolf or bear in that cave. After you said big tooth I was a little worried when you started into it. You keep saying old. You don't seem old, not that it matters to you probably, you don't seem vain in any way but, you got a young man's tushy. haa, That might just be a straight line for an impending joke, but you do. Interesting video as always!
FROM THE SEWER TO THE BREWER was what Texas once said of beer packed with the assurance of being made with pure cave water. Until it was found to be polluted by human feces being pumped underground miles away. Not even the best brew can dodge that extras taint.
I'm love seeing the cave explorations stuff, mostly because I don't think I'd do it myself in 10,000 lifetimes.
I LOVE these cave videos!! It's amazing what Mother Nature can do!
Hahaha! "Woo that stinks, lets go in further!"

Sinkholes are common in many states. it is up to the builder to check things that could prevent building it.
Almost though aqua chigger wasn't gunna upload today! Thanks for sharing your daily adventures mr chigg
thanks again for taking 'us' with you, love the forested hills and old home place ruins.

panthers lived in our sink holes & small cave opening in rural Perryville, Mo, I've carried a .45 LC ever since , everywhere I go and under my pillow
You should come to Australia one day. There are some beautiful caves here. Jenolan caves is a lovely one.
Always remember "HOLD YOAR BREATH!"
Wow, I wish my area had sink holes and caves

Hi Chigg from the UP of MI, come hunt some float copper!
Aquachigger have you ever tried the UP? I'm sure it would be a good spot for caves. I'm taking a road trip up there this summer.

Why are there so many openings in such a small area?
You inspired me to want to ask my mom for a detector and just go to the park or beach and detect
Kind of hoping there's too much of a cave system for the land to be developed... so much trash littered everywhere :( that last cave with the dual entries was awesome!
