This stream was s gorgeous. Perfect little comfy trout stream. I was fishing one probably 4 times wider, standing in the water like you, heard something Big come thru woods, for the water, Big Black Bear just appears head first dives in, when his head came up about 4' from me, he looked at me, he turned and did dog paddle 300 mph. Lol. I turned tried to run 300 mph and fell face first into knee deep water, enough to soak everything. We were both afraid of each other equally. Lol. I always carry sidearm across chest or waist , just in case. ( Licensed of course to carry concealed) Good great memories.

I might add I grew up in Ashland I know every where you’ve been and are going I used to hunt and fish around the County every single year until I moved to Bangor back in 1989. Im still here lol. Aroostook county is known as “the county“ a beautiful place to be.
You know how your videos help someone? I'm going blind (glaucoma) and I've never been to Maine. So.. You've given me a tour and filled my head with what it's like.. So now I know. Just wanted to let you know, thank you.
You’re bringing back a lot of memories for me. I grew up in Ashland where I fished and hunted every year until I moved away to Bangor in 1989, don’t I ever miss that area.
little word of advice as someone who spends weeks in the north Maine woods, aka zone 1-2. once you register at a gate check point make sure to follow all rules Irving has in place. they will ban you super quick if someone reports you and always always loggers have right of way we are blessed to access these millions of acres. awesome video as usual, I typically go deep in zone one they call it the big 20. farthest north you can go in Maine.

Love that place. I found out after what kind of ugly fish that was. Did get a few perch.

My friend, you are living your best life. One of my favorite videos of yours! I could tell by your voice in the morning, that it was a cold night.
I should have remembered. Hiking thru Maine it was always cold at night. Had my winter gear sent back to me in Rutland Vermont.
Same, had mine sent back to me in VT.

also don't over look any culvert or beaver bog as that's where I catch most of my trout in the north Maine woods.
Thanks. I read over the rules and follow them.
how come you didn`t show us night time ?? - a bummer
Sorry. I will on my next trip. I went to sleep before the sun set. Im hoping to get a time lapse of the night sky next time.
are you allowed to carry - gotta be bear
Yes i can carry here. I keep myself protected. I just don't show it.
Did you really start a campfire and then leave it unattended to go fishing? You’re a firefighter, right?
I went fishing 20' from my fire. The fishing you seen was the next day.
