I felt the same way the first time I went up there. a winch would be a good thing to have on that Jeep ! also , take your boy white water rafting on the west branch of the Penobscot river. We stayed at Abol Bridge Campground, they offer rafting. It is INTENSE !!! but great /beautiful time. they give you a steak or salmon lunch, and offer a video/CD of your raft trip, plus pictures. worth it !
Those boats aren't left there for people to use. They are left by their owners for them, and only them, to use. Do NOT take a paddle with you in the Maine woods and take out someone else's boat!
Nice adventure! Loving the Rubicon. I'm thinking of taking the plunge on my first pretty soon. What setup are you running for tires? It looks like a 2 inch lift? Thanks :)
It’s cool he’s proud of his Jeep and all, but I’ve been to all those places in a minivan full of cub scouts, a couple different 2WD pickups and my 23’ class C
Thank you, and I agree you do not need 4x4 for the most part as the roads are just gravel and/or roof top tents as ground tents will work just as good. The point is to go enjoy exploring this area.
Good on you for loving the great out doors and teaching it to your children. Cool Jeep camper. Oh and those terrific lamb chops!!!
Love these vids, I grew up not far from here and I loved it. How funny the ad before this was for Deep Woods Off 😂
Thank you Erin. lol I now need to look for that deep woods ad :- )
Oh, the memories! :) Cheers!
Loved your two Maine videos. Hope you make it up again and make more videos like this. Have fun!

It’s a 4 inch long arm suspension by teraflex but running 35 tires. Thanks and good luck.
