Excellent song. If you like Warpaint, consider trying: “Seventeen Seconds” and “Faith” by The Cure, John McGeoch-era Siouxsie and the Banshees, “Long Division” and "Curtain Hits the Cast" by Low, “Fur and Gold” by Bat for Lashes, and any His Name Is Alive albums with Karin Oliver or Andy FM on vocals.
The 1rst song was an "intro" before, I loooved it and really wanted the girls to do it as a song, hope they'll put it in their album ! They are one of the best artists I know
einfach nur toll, das Manga-Girl und die Schlagzeugerin im Hintergrund, die Chefin vorne mit Mütze und die abtrünnige Schwester see you soon in Mannheim / Maifeld-Derby 2014
No I mean Thom yorke and radiohead...just found out Nigel godrich produced some of the album so that'd explain a lot. I like the album but it does seem like they had a lot of help.
Henry Watts And with due respect to your point, why did Thom and the 'Head get no "help" from Nigel, but these girls did? Nigel *produced* those RH records...couldn't he have massively helped them too?
Radiohead openly admit that Nigel Godrich is as an important part of the group as the others, they jokingly call him the "6th Member" of the group. Also, you can't put Warpaint in the same league as a band like Radiohead, Radiohead is full of incredibly talented, forward-thinking musicians. Thom Yorke & Johnny Greenwood are two geniuses in their own right. Warpaint are great but they're not half the musicians Radiohead are, it took them 4 years to release their 2nd album! I just think he's had a big influence on this song, that is all I'm saying, it's the strongest song on the album by far...
Henry Watts Well, if I may, War has 2 & 1/2 albums (the 1st EP), & speaking of producers, half the reason they waited so long for the new one is they were waiting for Flood to be done with Foals. As for Radiohead, their 1st 2 albums weren't *terribly* special, so productivity doesn't always equal genius. I know Radio are the better group pound-for-pound, but War definitely aren't "half" what they are, IMO.
Love this band but this wasn't that great of a performance. Lots of off key singing, and the guitarist with some sloppy guitar playing and noticeable mistakes.
This is typical.... people should get more into live shows, instead of just sitting in front of the laptop and critize every band by it. I mean seriously take some sun, or an ice cream....and of course buy a ticket to Warpaint show.... it will make you feel better though.
Well I mean I put a lot of value on a band's live performance ability and it's dissapointing when a band that's interesting and impressive musically isn't up to par live. Not to mention they're coming to Toronto soon and I'm considering whether I should go or not so I checked out some videos.
These women are fantastic. Therapy for the soul.
I went to their show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia right around a week ago, and trust me, their live shows are one of the best I've ever seen.
like all Warpaint tunes...these new ones get better everytime ya hear 'em, ace!
best song from the new album so far, love it.

so progressive and awesome , that open guitar 1:49 Alex Lifeson style with some humbuckers hot pick ups
it would sound like a RUSH lick
The audio here sounds better than the "official" Pitchfork videos!

jenny lee....
the beggining remembers me one italian band ..stearica.
The beginning guitar riff reminds me of RHCP's Rivers of Avalon
Excellent! And if you want more see the uploads from a couple of days before on my channel. Off to see them again soon.
1:19-1:26 ❤❤❤❤
If there's a better band on Earth, it's probably an all female band too. Doods be slippin'. Macklemore is proof.
Was this an amateur recording or a professional? I seriously don't know.
CC
the female radiohead. haha
So much better than Radiohead though, in my book
@@JackFou They are very good, but no one like RH.
Wish the singer was better. Great on record though.
don't get me wrong this song is good but I hope Thom Yorke and Radiohead for that matter got a cut of the royalties...

Henry Watts Nigel mixed SOME of the album. And only the record the 1st song's on.

I love this song, but I think it's a given that they are almost always off key in live performances.
They should really work on that..
