- The Last Of Us Official Trailer is here and of course we had to do a reaction video on this! What a trailer man! We got to see Joel and Ellie, Bill, Tommy, David a few infected (Runners), Clickers and of course at the very end a freaking Bloater. A BLOATER!! We are super excited for this show since we are fans of the video game that naughty dog made. Cant wait to see what Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey bring to the table. Also did you guys spot the original voice actors in the trailer!? That's right! T Motherfreakin' Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson are in the trailer!!

As for a extremely huge Last of Us Fan and for someone who loved both games find this trailer very very promising I simply cant wait I am so stoked.

Also it seems like the show will explore Frank and Bill, which makes me really happy. The actor who plays Frank was amazing in The White Lotus season 1 and won a bunch of awards.
HBO is going all in! And with good reason. The source material and inspiration for this show gathered a massive following and it’s regarded as one of the best video games of all time. We are not ready for this! That first episode is gonna be insane. Also excited for the exploration and expansion of the story as you pointed out. Bill and Frank and their relationship is alluded to in the game so I’m excited to dig a little deeper in the lore. And that Bloater dude!? Ahhh! Can’t wait for this to come out 😃

Truly!! Making it a show adaptation was the best way to faithfully explore the world of TLOU. They have the time to delve into other aspects of the world, and we can't wait to see more about Frank and Bill!
This trailer makes me feel a lot of emotions. From The Last of Us theme that they play in earlier part of the trailer, to Henry & Sam's hugging scene (that really breaks my heart). I'm hyped for the show but at the same time I'm not ready to have my heart crushed again.
Duuude! As soon as we stopped recording Denise actually said the same. That scene between Henry and Sam. It got us both in our feelings almost immediately. I don't think any of us are ready. Really excited for that first episode which is for sure gonna be killer, the bridge sequence and of course David. Cannot wait man. Also that bloater looks fantastic!
@@OfficialMediaKnights aww man, I'm so excited to see everyone's deeper story. We obviously will get Bill and Frank's back story, I hope we get to see more of Henry and Sam's, although it would make their death even more painful. It looks like we will get some new characters that's not in the game, like Perry (played by Tommy's Video game actor) who apparently is crucial to a lot of things happened in the game. And those two old couple Florence and Marlon, I wonder what their role is in Joel and Ellie's journey. David's actor (Scott Shepherd) is an excellent choice! And yeah, that Bloater gives me chills!
It is nice to see HBO involved a lot of the game's original VA/Actors, shows how they want to keep the elements from the game in the show. 2023 is going to start with a great show!
TLOU2 is my favorite game hands down. The insertion of Take On Me into this trailer was divine. And the montage with Ellie and Riley in the mall! Sam and Henry hugging!!! Can't wait for this show to come out (and for your guys' reactions)
Man... TLOU2 is so devastatingly underrated in the sense of the amount of people that chose to hate it for such peculiar reasons... It is definitely one of our favorite games of all time, both of them are - if you check it out, I (Denise) started tearing up as soon as Take on Me started playing, but the hug between Sam and Henry had me in full on tears. We are gonna be reacting to this literally the second it comes out so stay tuned!!!
@@OfficialMediaKnights The thing is, they have the opportunity to introduce Abby earlier in the HBO tv-series and really showcase the traumatic thing she went through in-depth, if they choose to go this route. So in the sense of combining both games and make us relate to characters better, I think the show will do a great job.
Absolutely, if they introduce Abby earlier, it may be a little less jarring to relate to her. The second game draws clear parallels between Abby and Joel, and also forces us to confront our own inherent sense of tribalism, so it could smoothen the transition so hopefully, people don't react with the same vitriol against her as they did with the game!
@@OfficialMediaKnights tlou2 isn't devastatingly underrated, the story is really bad. It's star wars disney trilogy levels of bad writing. Literally everything except the story in the game is great and that's why it gets so much hate.
I don’t think the writing is bad. I think the events are well executed when it comes to dialogue and the story itself. Now if we are talking about pacing of the story or the structure of how it was presented then yeah. Specially during that controversial middle section of the game. Like I say in the video, it’s ok to not like the direction they took for the characters and the story. We all had different expectations for Part II and thought about different versions for this sequel. But the writing itself isn’t bad.
I've wanted to give Joel a hug for 10 years, that opening scene is gonna tear my heart out again
Oh my god, seriously... that moment was utterly devastating, and watching it all over again is going to be heartbreaking... the story is so fantastic though that it's worth the heartbreak 😊
It hit me in the chills when Take on Me started playing because that's the song Ellie plays in Part 2 in Seattle after "it" happens.
I KNOW!!! The tears that started to build... just remembering the heartbreak in TLOU 1 and 2. Such fantastic games and this show, hopefully, manages to fill the shoes of them!
As a massive LoU fan, I'm trying not to let my hopes skyrocket and keep my expectation grounded, but damn, it's so hard when the trailers look amazing. Hope it lives up to the hype!

I’m so stoked for this show it looks awesome! And I’m totally fine with the casting, yes she doesn’t look like the Ellie in my head but she is a good actress and Pedro always kills it!!! I’m bout to jump back on the remake so excited!!!
YOOOO!! We literally just finished playing the remake a couple weeks ago - we are HUGE TLOU fans, and honestly, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey we already know are both incredibly talented actors. Their chemistry and development of Joel and Ellie's relationship should definitely be one for the books!
@@OfficialMediaKnights you have any concerns for the show? Only thing that kind of scares me is how long is the show going to run? And after the second game will it be like GOT where the show isn’t as great once they get ahead of the source material, and will them telling stories jeopardize any chance of a sequel

@@OfficialMediaKnights My previous computer broke so it depends on how quickly I buy a computer to hook up to the television. I expect week by week.
I've watched a few things on my phone but took my pc time off to play some switch games for a lot of the past month.
I might have a new computer in as soon as two days. Could be longer. I'd rather not be indoors for a winter without a pc so I'll probably be making a hasty decision soon.

Ellie! I’m really excited to see her performance. After seeing the rapport the actors have with each other. I truly think they’ll do amazing.
@@OfficialMediaKnights yeah. She says "fucking monster" instead of just "monster" hinting at that Ellie is gonna have the potty mouth that we all know and love.
Gotta love her for that! I loved her sense of humor and the way she speaks. They managed to give the character some great personality. And seeing that come through the performances speaks for itself. What are you the most excited for in the live adaptation? 😃
Someone introduced Ellie to "Take On Me". Could have it been Joel, or maybe Sarah her mother? Don't know but it fits the story beautifully, can't wait to find out!

Honestly, the remake was fantastic - but I think that anyone who's gotten to experience the games, should be so excited for this show, it looks like finally they've taken a video game adaptation seriously, paying it the respect it deserves! I wish for sooo much more like this for games out there, maybe even God of War!!
Where is Troy Baker in the trailer?
It's a 'blink and you'll miss it' moment - he is part of David's crew - if you can slow down the footage, you'll see him just on the left of David. Around minute mark 1.53 of the official trailer itself you should find it! Ashley Johnson is in it too!

I see. We watched the teaser and figured they would release another Trailer right before January. This will most likely be the last trailer aside from variations of this one and reutilizing the footage. When she said “we were hoping for one last trailer” she’s referring to us waiting for the official trailer to drop knowing it’ll be the last.
