    Nice video once again! Believe it or not, but your solenoid colors used to match your new ones before sinking in hot oil for so many years

    Nice video! Only way I can drive my BMW X5 is if I turn the car off and press on gas pedal to reset the transmission. My car gets stuck without being able to shift. In your expert opinion, do you think the transmission control solenoid is causing this issue?

    Hello, on my bmw 335i 2008 car turns off putting it in drive after a transmission rebuilt
    Do you know the cost of that?

    Mine sticks in P most mornings and I have to either wait for it to release itself before I can stick it in Drive or I lift up the panel under the lever and wiggle a pin.. Any idea If this is solenoid issue?

    Does the car have to be in neutral or leave it in park when jacked up.

      Been having problems with my e60 for over a year, it slips but then it grabs, and it rarely locks up, torque converter only locks up at 100kmh

    If i don't replace my solenoids but still replace my sleeves and the oil and the oilpan do i also need to do the software stuff or is this just to let the car know that there are new solenoids? Thanks

    • @335iN54Enthusiast
      @335iN54Enthusiast  2 роки тому +1

      First of all why would u just change the sleeves? That is completely pointless. Adaptation needs to be reset for new Solenoids.

      @@335iN54Enthusiast i have about 100k miles on my car and no problems with the shifts at all they are just getting a bit slow(probably because I still have the original oil).I just want to change the oil and i read somewhere that you should change the sleeves as well while your in there because the rubber gets bad over time. Plus i don't have any software or any knoledge to speak of in that regard because i usually work on older cars.

    • @335iN54Enthusiast

      Oh I see. ...Changing my solenoids made a huge difference in shift quality. But I do understand your situation.

    XHP doesn't reset adaptations. If I recall correctly, ZF also don't recommend that you reset adaptations unless changing clutch pack etc.

      That's straight out of the BMW service manual to reset adaptations for shift solenoids. 100%

      Nice. My buddy did the seals on mine at 125k miles, 07 e92. After the fluid replacement, oil pan, seals, the trans faulted, software was too old, needed update and took a little while for it to relearn too. After the seals, not more hard jolt from 2nd to 1st at full stops.
