In this video I go over the steps needed to replace your shift Solenoids in your 6 speed automatic.
Don't forget to reset your Transmission adaptations.

Nice video once again! Believe it or not, but your solenoid colors used to match your new ones before sinking in hot oil for so many years
Lol true never thought of that...
Nice video I’m about to do that to my 2009 bmw 528i with 261k there’s a slight shift delay
Great video keep it up !! Well done.
How do I find the part number to my transmission? I got a 6HP26Z in a 335d e92. Ive tried realoem but they dont even show the solenoids for some reason
Great Job! i might do this my self but I'm concerned about prying the valve body plate to get the solenoids replaced.. wont anything pop out like shaft springs and what not?? how did the car run afterwards?>>>>>>>>> thumbs up
Works great and fixed my shifting issues.
Nice video! Only way I can drive my BMW X5 is if I turn the car off and press on gas pedal to reset the transmission. My car gets stuck without being able to shift. In your expert opinion, do you think the transmission control solenoid is causing this issue?
Could be im not familiar with x5
Hello, on my bmw 335i 2008 car turns off putting it in drive after a transmission rebuilt
Do you know the cost of that?
how do you reset adaptations? without a computer and programming and stuff, i don’t have the knowledge for that but i do to change everything out, can mhd do it? or protool?
Possibly thru mhd. ...XHP For sure to reset
Plz give me link for reset in need of some program located in Whittier
Mine sticks in P most mornings and I have to either wait for it to release itself before I can stick it in Drive or I lift up the panel under the lever and wiggle a pin.. Any idea If this is solenoid issue?
Don't think so
What is the name of this kit my transmission is kicking back at me when accelerating
Does it drop gear then go back to the original gear it was in?
Does the car have to be in neutral or leave it in park when jacked up.
Doesn't matter.
@@335iN54Enthusiast nice one. Thanks.
Hey i have a bmw x5 e70 3.0d...
Its like its slipping in gear when going through first,second,third... should i try this before i go getting someone to rip it apart???
Been having problems with my e60 for over a year, it slips but then it grabs, and it rarely locks up, torque converter only locks up at 100kmh
What can i reset adaptations on
Mhd or xhp app
@335iN54Enthusiast I was ready to do the job lol till read ur description where u put the reset adaptations so I was waiting to get tune for my car still trans was fixed but now I get to do both ig 😭
Hi,
Can I know if F02 ZF 6HP-19 shared the same solenoids as urs?
If yes, can share the link to purchase? Thanks a thousands!
I'm not sure. I think they're the same.
If i don't replace my solenoids but still replace my sleeves and the oil and the oilpan do i also need to do the software stuff or is this just to let the car know that there are new solenoids? Thanks
First of all why would u just change the sleeves? That is completely pointless. Adaptation needs to be reset for new Solenoids.
@@335iN54Enthusiast i have about 100k miles on my car and no problems with the shifts at all they are just getting a bit slow(probably because I still have the original oil).I just want to change the oil and i read somewhere that you should change the sleeves as well while your in there because the rubber gets bad over time. Plus i don't have any software or any knoledge to speak of in that regard because i usually work on older cars.
Oh I see. ...Changing my solenoids made a huge difference in shift quality. But I do understand your situation.
Would this cause my trans shiv to second gear really hard? What are symptoms
will this fit on my 2010 e90 320i N46N? where did you buy the solenoids
Ecs Tuning.
How much would an independent shop charge for this?
I went to go see and my guy told me 1500
What color is your car it’s sick
Thanks it's lava orange
XHP doesn't reset adaptations. If I recall correctly, ZF also don't recommend that you reset adaptations unless changing clutch pack etc.
That's straight out of the BMW service manual to reset adaptations for shift solenoids. 100%
hello you bought or your part thank you
Bought the solenoids
How many miles on the transmission?
182k miles.
Nice. My buddy did the seals on mine at 125k miles, 07 e92. After the fluid replacement, oil pan, seals, the trans faulted, software was too old, needed update and took a little while for it to relearn too. After the seals, not more hard jolt from 2nd to 1st at full stops.
