I forgot all about this one! 1980 was when I was selling Casio watches and we did handle a melody watch! It was basically a novelty item but they sold well, along with the entire Casio line. I remember demonstrating the tunes for the customers.
This was my first Casio watch in 1981.One of the unique model by Casio. Even stainless steel body version was also too good. Alaram was quite loud to wake you up. Used this for 15 years till it's lcd was black. Missing it😢
I love these watches , I have 2 of them. One of them is module 82H108 which is black plastic with a gold face. The other one is module 82H104G which is the gold metal version. They are both in exellant condition. The all metal one's crystal is perfect , not a single scratch. The plasctic on has a very small faint scratch on the crystal , otherwise it to is perfect. I'm now on the hunt for the silver metal version. These watches sound are one of the few Casio watches that is quite loud. I wish Casio watches today were as loud as the melody watch.
The first tune was from 'Minder' the TV series I think that you was whistling :D I love that Watch :P + it's MIND-BOGGLING how many Watches CASIO made in the 80's to(different types to) 😎 😎 😎
Back in 1981 I got (and still have) the earlier black and silver 82 H108 version for my birthday. This uses the 82 module so has different songs under the daily alarm to yours, which is a later release. I think the manual you have there is the wrong one for that particular watch, it should have the 408 module manual (the first set of numbers on the back is the module number).
I can remember in the late 70s digital watches coming onto the market some one at work was selling melody watches so everyone at to have one I can not now remember what makes they were but no one could set them up but my and my friend worked it out but we then had the job of setting up everyone who had one watch up probably why today I have lots of watches most or Casio and I still love seeing them up but some of the moon and tide graph types take some working out i wish I still had my melody watch now hopefully Casio may re-introduced him
I have a casio 82-h104 , in good condition..and one Casio guitar metal , but non good condition, Scratches on the screen and bleeding on the right side😢
Casio should bring back those game watches 💯
I remember opening this up on Christmas 😊

@Oldcasiocollector "Oh, Mandy...I could be so good for you..." :D Both excellent tunes 😎 😎 😎
Interesting Seiko look to this model, with the display and separate speaker panel.
