The reason why tracerifle arent used that much is because they require special ammo. Weapons with special ammo usually hit harder then primary but tracerifles dont, no need to use a gun that can run out of ammo if it isnt any better than one that cant run out. I really like tracerifles but they either need to run on primary ammo or get a massive damage boost
I was coming here to say this exactly. I think the only non-Microcosm Trace Rifle that should use Special Ammo is Divinity. Outside of that special case, they don't do enough damage, or put enough work in for the amount of ammo that's needed to use them efficiently in harder content. The biggest reason I stopped using them is due to the introduction of another weapon class.....the Rocket Sidearm. Even with the nerf to RS ammo reserves, they are so many levels above almost all Special weapons that even tried and trusted types such as Snipers and Fusions, have had their use cut down significantly because of the versatility of RS. As soon as some more Exotic RS come into the game, the amount of use that the majority of other Exotic Special weapons get will be massively reduced unless they get significant buffs

Trace Rifles are those types of guns you DONT usually pair with a primary, or it is utilized like it IS one. When you treat it as an ad clear weapon rather than a burst damage weapon, suddenly how good they are changes drastically. Certain weapons have certain purposes, and if you don't use it for it's purpose, yeah it's gonna do pretty poorly!
Would agree for most of this, but I do think that a better arc handcannon to craft would be Posterity from DSC. It can get Voltshot and a damage perk, like frenzy, and has one of the best origin traits. Not saying that nation of beasts is bad, I just prefer posterity.
Abyss Defiant is my favorite Auto Rifle and favorite gun in the game. On top of HC + IC roll, melee kills proc the explosive Thrall origin trait for more explosions. Its fun in ad dense modes.
The first two can easily be swapped out for yesterdays question and the summoner to all pvp players out there! The brigand can also be swapped for anonymous autumn. Same combos as mentioned and easier to get

The scout you want, especially this season with barriers, Randy's throwing knife with UNDER-OVER + TREMORS. Most don't know how powerfull Under-Over is against barrier. VERY powerfull against shield. Add binding + disruption break gl with it... ;-)
I use most of these regularly. With the exception of the trace rifles and the sidearm. Doom of Chelchis is amazing, as is NoB and I used the shit out of Corrasion last season. But unless you're running something like consecration titan pugilist is not what I'd pick for that column, eddy current is unironically the perfect pick for a voltshot weapon. Pugilist isn't useful on a lot of builds (warlock looking at you).
yeah with no anti champion mods special GLs and rocket sidearms are definitely more comfortable to use. they're essentially just auto rifles with a larger mag at this point
Wouldn’t use doom of chelchis right now with barrier scout being weaker than ever, the void surge coming around is very nice for it though. Explosive payload and frenzy will always be a solid trait combo, very good overload scout when that is around.

They really should just give Trace rifles a mini Target lock function by default. Ramp damage on sustained hits. That along could make Trace rifles a little more worth while since then you could use it for add clear and single target.

i promise you enlightened action is 10x better than pugilist on corrosion. what makes voltshot good on certain weapons is either a fast reload speed at base, or a perk that can cut down that reload speed. try enlightened action, trust.

Shoutout to the Garden of Salvation weapons with all of them being really good. Kinetic bow with Kinetic Tremors which enhanced procs in 2 shots (can get Archers Tempo in the 3rd to pair with it). A void Zaoulis with Destabilizing + Explosive Rounds on the Ancient Gospel as well as the old Kindred Orchid roll of Rampage + Kill Clip (my PvP roll is Lonewolf + Rangefinder). Those are just a couple of my favorites but the rapid fire void fusion is really good too. Honestly I don't think there's really a single weapon that doesn't have some use somewhere. The origin trait is stupid strong for all forms of content too (yes even PvP). Highly recommend farming for them the next time they're in rotation.
Non of this season's weapons (Episode 2: Revenant) are craftable. Bungie announced the change in one of the pre-season TWIDs. Basically they noticed that people just stopped playing seasonal activities once they had unlocked all the patterns so they have said from now on new seasonal guns are going back to RNG drops only. However they have made the new guns upgradable so if you get a roll you like you can level it up to get enhanced perks and use enhanced mods. As for weapons from previous seasons, raids, exotic missions etc.. you can still craft these at The Enclave on Mars as usual if you have the patterns unlocked. Old seasonal weapons obtained via Banshee, Xur, Dares and Exotic Missions can still have their patterns extracted with Deep Sight Harmonisers obtained via the season pass.

Underrated: Ancient gospel, destabilizing rounds + payload. I run it with gyrfalcons haubaerk, absolutely insane. Legendary hc version of graviton.
One of my favorites that's pretty underrated is the Claus Mini-Tool with unrelenting and incandescent

I'd assume because it's a rapid fire and you'll never have to reload it if you hit all crits. Great way to burst.

For the bow, try Successful Warmup instead of Archers Tempo if pairing with KT, body shots or tremor kills proc warmup

Been using corrosion on my consecration titan but switched to the bxr with Incan pugilist its far better.
BXR is a great weapon.
Some are theses are not being used because there locked in raids and not everyone does raids..
