If developers would just revamp the Sims 3 in 2022 with it’s bugs, graphics, and lag etc., it would be absolutely unstoppable today. Sims 4 wouldn’t stand a chance.

It's so weird in Sims 4 I make new Sims and new houses for them but then I don't want to play them after that. I totally agree that build by and CAS are the best features of Sims 4. Kind of defeats the purpose of the game in some ways
- Hotels - multiple property ownership - world editor allowing you to place extra lot - teleported phone booths - Nectar making (1000 times better than juice fizzing). - active carrier daycare in your own house - fairies - food quality actually depended a lot on ingredient quality - gardening (and pretty much every creative activity ) had a freelancer path - boat houses and interactive diving
(Warning: This is a long comment) I started playing Sims 3 when I was 9 years old. And I was so surprised by the variety of possibilities in the basic version of the game. If my sim was a famous musician, then he was driven to work by a pink limousine or a black one (I don't remember well what kind of limousine was in which career, sorry😅). But I remember well the situation when I arranged my sim to the local police station. A police car was automatically added to his luggage. So when he took time off to take care of his children, he continued to drive that car. 😂 It's so weird, but that's why I love Sims 3. I also remember waiting for a meteor to fall, or how it almost killed my sim and I was nearly crying when the meteor fragments started falling around her.😰 (I was a sensitive child, and there was a tense sound of meteor, that made this moment even worse). And then she was abducted by aliens, because she stayed in place and collected the pieces of meteor. Also, with the sims 3 addons I got into collecting stones, cutting them into different shapes, and selling them. And my families always practiced alchemy, so they could make potions and sell them in a special shop that was frequented by zombies that growled at my characters, and sometimes had bitten them to turn into zombies too. I also love imaginary friends, and mummies, and other supernatural beings. Travel to different countries, higher education and campus life, and different interesting cities with their own family stories to read, as well as secret locations, secret doors... There was so much in The Sims 3 that I can't even list it all right now. Even now, when I haven't played Sims for many years, I still learn something new about this game that I never knew even after playing it for years, before quitting it. I really want Sims 5 to be at least a little similar to the previous parts (taken together), otherwise I don't see the point of making the next part of the game. (Sorry for making such a long comment, I just had to speak it out loud to finally express all my thoughts about The Sims.)
That's the thing that hurt me the most, I played Sims 4+DLC for 3 weeks then had enough and switched back to base game Sims 3 and have more fun playing the game.
Not just the colour wheel, but the fact you could change the textures and patterns of furniture, and whichever texture you chose would have an appropriate sound. If you change a counter top to metal, when Sims put plates down on it, it will sound like metal. I miss these little details. Everything in my houses took hours of customising but you could get so much more from just a few build/buy items than you can using the swatches in Sims 4
And horses. God HORSESSSS AUGH I’m an equestrian and I was so pissed off when they didn’t add them in contrary living. If only they made a game with graphics of sims 4, but features of both sims 4 &3 Edit: I wish I could afford to spend pocket money on the new horses dlc 🫠
i love horses too but i think it’s better to have a separate pack with horses cause you can do so much with them like doing races or breeding them. so that they wouldn’t be underdone if you get what i mean :)

Ever since I updated to a proper gaming pc I’ve literally just been playing sims 3 it’s such a good game and it runs so smoothly on my new computer I’m so happy as I have all the expansions 😭😭

I do not know about the comment owner but I have been using HP Envy (2019 or 2020 version im not sure) and it runs sims 3 perfectly. Ofc Nrass mods like mastercontroller, overwatch and traffic do help a lot.
According to simmers who are sims 4 -ss kissers in FB groups, it's better because they can focus each occult in their pack. Okay, then. Give them all of your money, dumb-ss.

Yep, people always give Sims 4 shit, but the one thing they never mention is that Sims 4's camera controls and build more are just better (minus some details). I once tried to play Sims 2 again and just couldn't because the controls felt so irritating to me now
@@leDespicable i spent years playing ts4 before changing to 3, so i can tell you the control thing is not that big of deal. at the beginning i found it strange, but after a couple days i got used to it & now i even prefer ts3's controls, you have more options and povs with them

That's where I'm disappointed. The sims seem to lack more detail in 4 than in 3. In 3 the hair was so fun, there was a color wheel for that, roots, highlights. Last time I tried 4 there were like 3 or 4 fun haircolors
Best game of all time imo, been playing since I was 11 years old and I never get bored. I’m 21 now. The fact that you can change the colour of almost anything, not only that but the selection of patterns you could use WHICH YOU COULD ALSO change the colour of. That in itself was such a perk of the game.

Imagine TS3 with the build mode of the TS4. Also car door animations like from TS2 in there too. TS3 is my favorite, followed closely by TS2. TS3 is the game I plan to buy all the expansions, and probably stuff packs for.

Sims 4 stripped everything fun out of Sims 3 … then, charged more for it. Which tells me more about the lack of programming skills in modern kids than it does about EA. Programmers aren’t as creative or skilled as they once were. Everyone is just lazy today.

some occults, like vampires, are better on ts4, they have way more features & gameplay. BUT it only occurs bc they came in a pack only for vampires, with the price of a sims's 3 expansion with all of the occults lol
So you know how annoying it is in the sims to create a room and have a couch and arm chair be a different share of brown and not be able to do anything about it! I don't build houses often, but whenever I load up that house I die a little on the inside
Girl... I have most of the expansion, game, and stuff packs for TS4, and it will never take long for me to switch back to the TS3. I've been playing that gane since it came out and I'm still figuring out new things everyday. I could probably play TS3 for a whole day without stopping.

I would say the other packs are more like sims 4 in the sense that they serve like one purpose rather than being part of the entire game experience (other than showtime which just felt lacking to me). But all of those packs are truly game changing and can be used at any time in any world and feel necessary.
Literally true, I miss being able to see my sim drive around, have burgulars, etc. I am not a fan of how sims 4 looks graphically compared to sims 3/2. On top of that, direct control on consoles for sims 2 was amazing! Wish we could do that still.

So I decided to install Sims 3 last night & downloaded some good mods, then I pretty enjoyed it until now. The open-world map without loading screens, snappy Sims interactions (no freezing Sim, unlike in Sims 4), and everything is just so refined. ❤
@henrikeotzipka6998 Generations is the only EP I don't have (and I'm not getting it for personal reasons), but it's highly recommended in the community. I personally recommend Ambitions and Seasons. Ambitions in particular is an absolute must-have.
Yeah, if you have more than three packs installed then it lags a lot. There are ways to fix it though. Open world and color wheel also make the game lag. They left that information out. Sims 3 is still great though.
I bought the Sims 4, and i genuinely tried really hard to like it... Unfortunately all of my favorite features were taken out, so I just went back to TS3 and thought about TS4 again.. I'm just waiting for TS5, I'm hoping they will bring back all the important features...
I miss this game so much. Sims 2 and 3 were amazing. I tried playing 3 a few weeks ago but it kept pausing for 1-2 minutes every 30 seconds. Didn’t have that issue on my old laptop.
Unpopular opinion: I'm not too mad about not having open world in the sims4. I always found it really annoying when your sim has a slow car and it takes ages for them to drive across town. However open neighbourhoods would be nice in the sims4 so you could visit your neighbours easily
I heard sims 3 crash due to error problems often compared to other version of the sims, the lag is a problem too especially when driving because every near plot load and unload as you pass.
I really wanna play sims 3 but it performs shit on mine (even though it has nraas). Half-second freezing when I click on any sim, screen tearing even when I enable vsync and limit frames to 59-60 fps, fps keeps jumping to a wide range of lower values instead of being consistent... I guess I'll just stick with my heavily modded sims 4 that somehow still runs fine :(
but since when can you play vanilla the sims 4 😭? the simulation lag, the crazy change of emotions, the lack of features & personality.. i used to have dozens of mods on ts4, while on ts3 i only use seven or so. and it depends baby. like, i also love nraas mods but errortrap & overwatch totally break my ts3, even if they are good for everyone else. i must be cursed.
I wish that the sims 4 must add the sims 3 function, like have sims 4 graphics and some gameplay and combine the sims 3 functions and gameplay that would be so amazing
@@henrikeotzipka6998 hi! you said this a while ago but I would 100% recommend sims 3! however, it can crash easily. For example I have a MacBook Air 2020, I can only play it if airplane mode is on and if I deactivated I cloud, or it won't work. Also the game has tons of bugs, most of them can be fixed my clearing the cache or using community bug fixes (mods) but it just take sometime to fix these problems and may take multiple tries. Generations, ambitions, and world adventures are so fun! I also love into the future. I grew up with both games and sims 3 is much better in my opinion I cant play sims 4 anyone cause of how boring it is in comparison. But make sure your computer is compatible!
Reasons why I like the sims 4 more: it doesn’t freeze. Sims 3 was pretty much unplayable without mods getting it to work for me and even with all the mods I downloaded to stop the constant freezing it still freezes constantly ugh.
My sister played Sims 3 a long time and now Sims 4. She is really into these games. She once told me all the things Sims 3 does better than Sims 4 and it is a lot . But at the end she told me she prefers Sims 4 because of the huge developed emotions system and when my sister tells me which game actually is better, I belief her. Sims is really her cup of tea 😂
I think what’s even better than the color wheel is that you can change textures. A simple pair of pants can be changed from basic to glam to goth to dirty to vintage… and you can change the color of the pattern.
Every longtime simmer knows 2 and 3 are the best of the sims 4 franchise. Only people who complained about sims 3 seem to be people with really shitty computers to be honest. Also - love your music choice :)
I miss having my household wander all around the open world playing them all at once, the kids playing in the park, the teen to the gym, an adult having a custom designed stage to perform on all the while ur plumbot is cooking something up for when they get home and ur plantsim generating a small fortune in the backyard garden, ahh those were the days
Heard from a friend that the stair railings can be placed manually (like fences and walls) in sims 3. I really hate the top of the railing sticking up from the wall in sims 4.

A graveyard. I loved visiting it with my sims as a child and was so confused when I noticed that sims 4 didn’t have one

They need to put a hospital for birth cause it’s boring when sims have to stand infront of a crib to give birth it’s annoying
In the Sims 4 Get to Work you are able to deliver a baby in the hospital; and you can go inside with them while it's going on

You can go to hospital, just click on the sim and it says "Go to hospital for birth" You don't follow them, but they are able to

@@Meshisathat’s the problem. so much of the sims 4 is just “you tell them to do it/go there, and they do, but you can’t follow them.” and if you can, you go through like 10 loading screens. i don’t know why they took a step backward on that…
Online dating was always my favorite feature! I don’t get why that wouldn’t be in the sims 4, it made it much easier to date in the game!

Sims 4 stripped everything fun out of Sims 3 … then, charged more for it.
Which tells me more about the lack of programming skills in modern kids than it does about EA. Programmers aren’t as creative or skilled as they once were. Everyone is just lazy today.
@@AdmoreMethod likely its rarely nothing to do w/ the skill of the programmer but rather the mega billion dollar Tripe A studio never giving their employees actual time to have fun & create something new. it’s jusy about money now, the companies are the lazy one’s. Quite counterintuitive to criticize the employees rather than who’s actively controlling & forcing them put out lackluster nonesense. Not to mention EA being too lazy to actually HIRE playtesters. Game had shaky foundations & in 2023 they still have not accommodated.

some occults, like vampires, are better on ts4, they have way more features & gameplay. BUT it only occurs bc they came in a pack only for vampires, with the price of a sims's 3 expansion with all of the occults lol

Girl... I have most of the expansion, game, and stuff packs for TS4, and it will never take long for me to switch back to the TS3. I've been playing that gane since it came out and I'm still figuring out new things everyday. I could probably play TS3 for a whole day without stopping.

@@henrikeotzipka6998maybe late, but my favorite are late night, supernatural, generations, seasons, pets, and island living. I would say the other packs are more like sims 4 in the sense that they serve like one purpose rather than being part of the entire game experience (other than showtime which just felt lacking to me). But all of those packs are truly game changing and can be used at any time in any world and feel necessary.

Literally true, I miss being able to see my sim drive around, have burgulars, etc. I am not a fan of how sims 4 looks graphically compared to sims 3/2. On top of that, direct control on consoles for sims 2 was amazing! Wish we could do that still.

you have to use nrass modes to make the game smoother. there’s literally no excuse. i play it smoothly on a 5+ old mac 🧍.. not even a pc.

the lots being seamless to open world and realistic foliage and terrains while ts4 was made cartoony
I feel like EA could have altered loading screens to make it so that our sim is driving to the next place. That way, 2 birds, one stone.
Or… since technology has improved a LOT since Sims 3… maybe NOT go backwards.

@@henrikeotzipka6998me too, I played Sims 4 on my pc, downloaded all available mods, made possibilities but still it lacks a personal feel to it. So I decided to install Sims 3 last night & downloaded some good mods, then I pretty enjoyed it until now.
The open-world map without loading screens, snappy Sims interactions (no freezing Sim, unlike in Sims 4), and everything is just so refined. ❤
@henrikeotzipka6998 Generations is the only EP I don't have (and I'm not getting it for personal reasons), but it's highly recommended in the community. I personally recommend Ambitions and Seasons. Ambitions in particular is an absolute must-have.

Yeah, if you have more than three packs installed then it lags a lot. There are ways to fix it though. Open world and color wheel also make the game lag. They left that information out. Sims 3 is still great though.
Sims 3 got me hooked to keep on supporting the game. Sims 4 made me leave the game. Gay game developed lazy mfs lol
i would like you to try out nraas mods, especially overwatch and errortrap. they help make the game stable.

I bought the Sims 4, and i genuinely tried really hard to like it... Unfortunately all of my favorite features were taken out, so I just went back to TS3 and thought about TS4 again..

I miss this game so much. Sims 2 and 3 were amazing. I tried playing 3 a few weeks ago but it kept pausing for 1-2 minutes every 30 seconds. Didn’t have that issue on my old laptop.
Unpopular opinion: I'm not too mad about not having open world in the sims4. I always found it really annoying when your sim has a slow car and it takes ages for them to drive across town.
However open neighbourhoods would be nice in the sims4 so you could visit your neighbours easily

I heard sims 3 crash due to error problems often compared to other version of the sims, the lag is a problem too especially when driving because every near plot load and unload as you pass.
But you def can't play sims 3 in vanilla version cause of the lags. Nraas is my bff now. Before nraas it was hell to play sims 3.
I play vanilla withlile no lag. I actually experienced more lag with brass and cc
I really wanna play sims 3 but it performs shit on mine (even though it has nraas). Half-second freezing when I click on any sim, screen tearing even when I enable vsync and limit frames to 59-60 fps, fps keeps jumping to a wide range of lower values instead of being consistent... I guess I'll just stick with my heavily modded sims 4 that somehow still runs fine :(

but since when can you play vanilla the sims 4 😭? the simulation lag, the crazy change of emotions, the lack of features & personality.. i used to have dozens of mods on ts4, while on ts3 i only use seven or so. and it depends baby. like, i also love nraas mods but errortrap & overwatch totally break my ts3, even if they are good for everyone else. i must be cursed.

@@henrikeotzipka6998 hi! you said this a while ago but I would 100% recommend sims 3! however, it can crash easily. For example I have a MacBook Air 2020, I can only play it if airplane mode is on and if I deactivated I cloud, or it won't work. Also the game has tons of bugs, most of them can be fixed my clearing the cache or using community bug fixes (mods) but it just take sometime to fix these problems and may take multiple tries. Generations, ambitions, and world adventures are so fun! I also love into the future. I grew up with both games and sims 3 is much better in my opinion I cant play sims 4 anyone cause of how boring it is in comparison. But make sure your computer is compatible!

Reasons why I like the sims 4 more: it doesn’t freeze. Sims 3 was pretty much unplayable without mods getting it to work for me and even with all the mods I downloaded to stop the constant freezing it still freezes constantly ugh.
TS4 doesn’t freeze because it only has 10% of the features of TS3.
My sister played Sims 3 a long time and now Sims 4. She is really into these games. She once told me all the things Sims 3 does better than Sims 4 and it is a lot . But at the end she told me she prefers Sims 4 because of the huge developed emotions system and when my sister tells me which game actually is better, I belief her. Sims is really her cup of tea 😂
I think what’s even better than the color wheel is that you can change textures. A simple pair of pants can be changed from basic to glam to goth to dirty to vintage… and you can change the color of the pattern.

Every longtime simmer knows 2 and 3 are the best of the sims 4 franchise. Only people who complained about sims 3 seem to be people with really shitty computers to be honest.

Heard from a friend that the stair railings can be placed manually (like fences and walls) in sims 3. I really hate the top of the railing sticking up from the wall in sims 4.

open world causes massive game performance issues (at least on lower end laptops/computers) but i miss it so much 😭 sims 2 gameplay with sims 3 open world/color wheel with sims 4 graphics would be UNSTOPPABLE
