Man…how awesome would it be to just shadow Jake for a day and just learn!!! I’ve never watched a reefbuilders video and not learned something new!! Thanks for all you guys do!
I truly don't know how anyone could thumb-down/ dislike this video, unless they're a complete "Hater" and just jealous in their own lack of ability.. Jake is like the Bob Ross of Reefing/ reef tank keeping;) Straight-up! Go hate on that one!! Even after my 36yrs of Reefing, I learn or catch something new every time! And yes I'd also like to shadow him for a day to catch what I could;)
those videos are the best thing to watch :) i'm looking forward to an update how the glued on acros will look in 2-3 months at the glued area. and the non existing detritus under the rock was pretty amazing.....i just love the look and contrast of the white sandbed too much to go barebottom :D
I know on reef therapy you talk about using cheaper nano lights on smaller aquariums, do you have any light recommendations for a ten inch tall tank wanting to grow sps like stylos and montis?
The tank is looking so nice Jake! Any advice on keeping tangs healthy? I have a yellow that basically lost most of his fins. Not sure if it was a water quality or nutrition problem. I have seen tangs look very rough in the best tanks out there. They will have 10 that look perfect and another with messed up fins. It’s almost like it s the weak one that doesn’t get enough nutrients or something.
Love that you name the scientific names. How about doing a bit more of deep dive with each genus and species of corals and show a few variants of each. Where they are from. Best parameters and placement in tanks etc.
Is the "top" piece that you glue onto the "encrusted base piece" relying on that base piece for anything nutrients or chemical or...? and visa versa...? Or is it just glueing two pieces together, but they continue to live separate lives :-) I love the look, and the idea of mixing matching could get wild.
@@chi-townreefer7736 I think i was among some of the first reefers to really HATE vermetids so I've been inspecting all new corals and clams for them for like 10 years and I just physically break and remove them
I’ve never watched a vid like this and I know nothing about reefs, corals or saltwater fish, but I really enjoyed your presentation! Probably a stupid question but… What is the “glue” you used and how does it set underwater?
Definitely was really fun to watch, a few cringe moments though as in my mind I saw chopping off the "nice" piece and then letting what was left color back up and regrow rather than taking the middle chunk out and slap the two ends back together. I also felt a bit relieved with the Milka stylo too... in that I don't have to deal with gluing all those frags/chunks to frag plugs, but I will say you're lucky to have a LFS handy that will happily take those frags for store credit, around these parts we couldn't give those away to our reef club members which in its way is a good problem but not if you're trying to give away frags to people.
Gyre flow is a natural thing to do and consider for the flow in ALL my tanks - period ranges on tanks between 8-13 hours depending on the corals and lights un that tank
@@ReefBuildersVideo I did see it in a different v. Looks alot different. Great that it's still going. I keep wanting to do a reef tank. But don't have a place right now
Okay, sorry to move the conversation off topic but I feel a lot of us want to know. WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT TOADSTOOL BY THE GREEN BIRDSNEST!?!? I want it, I need it.

Excellent video Mr.Adams, the peninsula is looking Top Notch !
Another great video Jake glad to have you making these videos.
It would be dope to see you add a sea swirl at the end of the tank
Do one month update pictures on that milka stylophora. Want to see it’s growth and growth rate.
It's really nice to always learn something new from RB. Good job Jake ♥️
I love those posters ! I wish they came on shirts !
Old school tips .. love it!
I absolutely love that T-shirt, looks like a stratosphere zoa! Great video!
@lazycoffeedesign I love Elaines work too.
Love the @lazycoffeedesign shirt!!

Totally not the hammer I was expecting to come out of the tool box, but it looks awesome! 😂
Awesome little project, great to see! 👍

That leather next to the Stylo is Beautiful.
How did you clean the glass? What product do you use? Thank you!

Love these videos and especially this tank 👌👌
Enjoy the videos 😃 Thanks!
Love the shirt!!!
Wow. I am shocked how little you left of that Stylo. I will be interested to see how it grows back.
The tank is looking so nice Jake!

Nice ,corals looks beautiful , can you share your light schedule and intensity Of the tank Thanks

Looks amazing! Never thought to graft sps like that! Will you reattach those milka bits somewhere or are they done?
Yesterday I grafted a forest fire monti on a green slimer but I wouldn't dream of making a video about such an atrocity :)
@Reef Builders , Please do an update on the Mika stylo to to show how much is grown back out from the stump!

The corals should fuse together, sharing tissue and becoming one within a couple weeks
I love this!!!! Such a great idea! thanks for sharing
Love that shirt💙🐟

@reefbuilders tank looking so good Jake!!!! And that shirt is DOPE!!!!
I love how excited you were to see the tank without the huge stylo
nice chalis, Space invaider? bty like the format of working in/on the tanks
Good vídeo brother., God bless you
Would you share your light schedule I have G5 but blues. Maybe one for LPS dominated. Thank you!
Tank looking very nice 🔥!
Jake how do you dill with Vermetid snails?

@@chi-townreefer7736 murder, murder, murder, kill, kill, kill (don't forget to scour your sump and overflows)
Hey bro those lights that will grow corals cause I'm trying to upgrade lights??
What not use a dremmel with a cutting disk while the coral is out of the tank?
I’ve never watched a vid like this and I know nothing about reefs, corals or saltwater fish, but I really enjoyed your presentation! Probably a stupid question but… What is the “glue” you used and how does it set underwater?
super glue gel, works awesome underwater
Nice work, maybe wear some eye protection when hammering coral out of tank.

What program are you running on the radions?
Wered u get the shirt any link ...also lovibg that space invader pectinia
Its from @lazycoffeedesign !
Boa tarde tô pra terminar meu aquário
Nunca termino não vejo ele tá bem cuidado como seu aquário lindo corais parabéns pelo trabalho
I wonder what they use that electric stove for?
Jake, are you still using gyre flow? Also, how long is your photo period? Tanks look great and like you said... Every coral becomes a pest over time 😛
Gyre flow is a natural thing to do and consider for the flow in ALL my tanks - period ranges on tanks between 8-13 hours depending on the corals and lights un that tank
What coral is that that has long sweeping tentacles in the end of your tank? Is that a torch or something different?
green willow
Diggin’ what I think is a Green Birdsnest at the end of the tank. A very under-rated coral these days but an awesome addition to any reef tank :)
I got a bird nest (not green, but still) and a Monti cap as my first sps yesterday, hope they do good!
What do you have your lights on?
Jake “blood is the best tank additive” Adams
what colour channels do you run and percentage
I haven't been to the channel for a while. interesting stuff . btw, how does the 1 day build tank look these days? of did you take i down?
Still going, looks good and coasting since the Sun polyps we’re added

If I was nearby I would Buy you those stylo frags.
Jake are you and evan going to reefapoolza Chicago?
not this time
Dude did u change the lights on that system since the last video??…..
And how to identify one Vs the other
What type of glue is being used? Anybody? 🤔
Normal super glue from Walmart
what kind of weeping willow is that next to the stylo?
just a green one
Use a angle grinder next time for the purple blue guy milkapora
I’m guessing your coral growth is much better than mine because it hurt to watch that stylo get the hammer 😆
If a builder ever turned up for a job with that hammer I'd be seriously concerned.
I liked the big milka 😭
👏👏👏👏
I wonder, what will happen when you glue an acro on a different acro.....
Oh wait my bad.
Oh man when you cut pls don't put your finger so close... it's a pain after (my bad experience ^^)
I think you're extremely good at what you do but in this case, I feel you're interfering too much with the natural growth and structure of the corals.
