What I did, its weird, but I have this big mannequin in my basement, and I practiced on that for a long time, the more you practice, on real people or not, it gets easier and easier!
I've been trying to learn how to do a French braid and but all the other videos I've watched they have bad angles. But urs!!! OMG u have the best angle!!!
Hi! I am 27 years old and am just starting to learn different styles for my thick straight hair. I have been searching for an easy-to-follow video for a French braid with a lot of frustration and just came across this video. I finally got it! And i love that you gave 2 different methods for gathering hair. A thousand thanks lovely! Great job ❤
French braiding has always been hard for me, even though my mum can do it without even looking. I watched this video and tried it out and I completed my first successful French braid! Thank you very much!
I have a tip for you . You can divide your hair into two parts (left and right) and do one side first cuz the amount of hair is fewer and after practicing and you think that you can have the ability to tie 1 , you just do it slowly . But remember must comb your hair before tying your hair,if not, you’ll in a big trouble.
FINALLLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO TEACH ME , I was about TO CRY because I was getting so FRUSTRATED because I couldn't find a video that will teach me how to do a French braid !!! THANK YOU GIRL 💗 I'm subscribing now
Could do another video slowly breaking down the hand hold? That is the trickiest part. It's difficult to see how you move the hair between your hand each time. Thanks.
I'm amazed that you can do this without being able to see what you are doing, never mind that you do such a lovely job. As a teenager I wore a ponytail. I would have needed to ask my mother to do it if I wanted a plait, and she had more than enough on her plate.
I have literally tired for almost 10 years to french braid my hair and could never understand how to do it. I followed along, pausing while doing my hair to keep up and it worked! looks a bit tangled and i missed a tiny piece of hair but I'm so stoked! Thanks!!!
Omg, gotta thank you big time for this tutorial. As a single dad I don't have anyone to teach me how to do my daughter's hair. I reckon I did pretty damn well on my first attempt after watching this. Posted to Insta with the hashtag if you wanna see if there's any other pointers I might need
Thank you for teaching at a slow pace and showing us how to do it in a slow pace. I'm 18 and just started to make french braids for the first time. It turned out great when I did it on my siblings. Thank you so much.
Still cant do it! Not trying to be mean! can you maybe make another video? that helped a little bit the first try I watched some other video it was a complete failure. Watched some more did not help at all. Then I watched this one I really liked this one so much clearer. Thank You For helping me out a lot! Thank You!!! (:
Literally the only video I've seen that actually makes me understand how to do it!! Thank you! I might not be able to do it to myself just yet but at least I understand how to!
Thanks so much for this. I've watched other videos on how to french braid and couldn't do it. Other videos make it seem so complicated. But your video makes it easy to get how to do it. And now I can french braid. Yay
I seen I don't know how many videos on how to do this braid and your video was Best one I came across! really loved how you took us step by step. thank you! 😘
I looked at the first 10 seconds of the video, and it's my 10th time trying (even without the video), but then I paused it did it by myself for 3 minutes, and It turned out perfect, or at least the best it's ever been, SO HAPPY RN 😍😍😍😍😍😍😘❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes! I finally did it! Thanks for the simple tutorial. I have curly hair and I have to braid it to look nice in the morning, and I can only do two piggy tail braids down the side and it makes me feel like I have "little girl" hair. Now I can skip the piggy tails and just do one nice braid in the back.
Thank you!!! This helped so much!!! I've always wanted to make this braid in my hair. It only took about 15 minutes.. It is really hard doing it on the back of your head.. I really didn't think I'd get it first try but I did. And I love it so pretty! So much work tho and my arms are super tired xD Thank you for this again :)
your hair is soo pretty and long☺ this helps me because I can French braid on someone else's hair and I'm trying to learn how to do it on my own hair better.
Thank you for this! I tried looking for videos in the past, but it was always someone doing another person's hair, which isn't helpful when doing your own.
I was never taught to do hair, so here I am as a mom trying to learn how to braid hair so I can teach my daughter. So thank you for posting this tutorial! 😊
Thank you for sharing this video. This video has been very helpful. Very clear instructions. It has been a few months already and I have been doing French braid on my own hair. I never thought I can do braids on the back of my head. I envy other people who can do this but not anymore. All thanks to you. God bless you. 😘🙏💕
thank you! i just french braided my daughters hair for the first time ever. it is something I have always wanted to learn how to do!! Your video was perfect.
Thank you sooo much!!! So pretty much the sides are going to become the middle piece after you gather the side hair! I prefer the first method as well! I think the second method confuses me and others. It could cause someone to cross the middle too soon and not gather first.
I can't make 3 sections from the first part of my hair, so I just take the section, rubber band it, then grab one piece from each side to have 3 pieces. And then continue the braid as you explained :) Thanks for the tutorial, this was the most clear tutorial I've seen, really helped a lot
this was so helpful!!!! my hair has always been too short or too tangled and sensitive to do this braid but now I can finally do it!!! I wish my hair was a little bit longer but this is great!
Woah... I watched this and I actually did the thing!! I can't even believe it. I've watched so many other videos and yours did the trick! Thank you so much! ❤️
Yay! Just did it and that's probably the fastest i've ever managed it to, maybe because you were so quick that i realised i normally take too much fussing over it. Thanks for the guide :)
Your hair just easily smooths back and I'm over here with bumps everywhere
+mypets101 do you have oily hair? :P
Yeah same!!!!!!

Kylie NotJenner right
Right? It's annoying.
(3 hour later) Me: I’m done! Mom: With your braid? Me: No sectioning off the top layer!
Love ur profile pic😉
Relatable- my hair is so thick and it likes to stay in one place, so it’s hard to take it out of my middle part 😭
🤣
Who started to do this and got frustrated and started to cry? Well I did
Me to I'm crying rn😂
Just keep practicing I practiced for a month and now I can do it !!
I did
😂
Try wetting your hair first, it makes it easier (or for me it does anyway).
Cant do it , hair keeps gettin tangled even when ive brushed it 50 times
+JASMINE SAHATOO that's damaging your hair.
I thought I was the only one😂
my hair is super straight and thin yet it tangles just like you said
Ola Kotfas omg same its actually hard with curly hair but awsome video:))
Ola Kotfas my hair is naturally wavy but I straightened it and it still gets tangly when I try to braid
i get the whole concept but once i try to do it... i cant??
i thought i was the only one
Don't Worry. It looks so easy that I get it but when I do it. I am Like ???????
What I did, its weird, but I have this big mannequin in my basement, and I practiced on that for a long time, the more you practice, on real people or not, it gets easier and easier!
Regina J. Keep trying! Practice makes perfect. If you have a doll of some sort, practice on that instead.
Regina J. same 😔

+Fun_With_Alyssa Wow that is such a great compliment, especially since it's my first video :D
I think I need at least three hands to be able to do this.
I need four...
Romy Williamson
Romy Williamson ikr for me I somehow keep losing the middle part of hair with the rest of my hair and it's so frustrating 😤😧😲 I can't hold everything!
I need a flipper hands ...
Romy Williamson haha lol
Actually it needs lot of practice to master it keep trying
Just tried this on my wife and failed, gave her a good laugh so still a success in my book.

I just managed to do a half french braid somewhat messy, but it’s giving me hope that’ll get it with some more practice!
I can't do it! No matter how much I practice I can't get it and it's so frustrating :'( fed up of having the same boring two hair styles every day 😢
+Thelittlestprincess C'mon, keep trying! I'm sure you'll get it in the end :) Try on someone else first, for a lot of people that's easier :)
+Thelittlestprincess a new tutorial is up in case you wanna try it out! :) :)

I feel you
I’d never thought about gathering the hair from the sides as your cross over each strand. That looks so much easier! I’m gonna try this.

I need to be an octopus to do this 😧
