How Muchova played here is just unbelievable. I am a big fan of Karolina Muchova from now on. She reminds me a lot of Federer but she has her own unique way with everything with grit and trick shots (reminds me Monfils, Kyrgios, Bahrami). She is just in the moment, enjoying it, super professional, respectful to the opponent and a lot more.
Literally the best I’ve enjoyed tennis for a long time. Kudos to you Karolina, hope you win a lot of slams and Championships! ❤

One overhead smash in her match with Naomi did remind me of Bahrami ! And the lob she managed to hit on the run behind her back against Volynets was just incredible !

Hello after watching this match to me it is a give away by Karolina Muchova she gave the match away to the American girl after how she played the very first set comparing to the second and third sets this match is a set up match.

How can you have a 40mins highlight but fail to show Pegula winning the second set? Jeez

They probably didn’t think it was necessary to include it cause she won it on a double fault by Muchova

I'm not coach or tennis player but I like watching tennis . I just wondering and just asking if this is common coach tactics or not because in second set when score was 4:4 30:0 for Jessica, Karolinas coach said to Karolina (you can clearly hear it ) let her win this game and she did it let Jessica win this game you can cleary see it . I was watching this moment three times and after this Karolína makes so many unfoced errors through all match... I always thought that they fight for every single ball that's what all of them been saying in the interviews. So it's something weird or it's common tactics?Just wondering I like both of them they are both great tennis players .

Coaching during a match was never allowed until recently, (I'm not sure when they changed that) but now a coach can say anything they want to their charge, I don't know the benefit, or why he would say something like that to Karolina, I'm not sure of the reasoning in that? I would think a player would fight for every point and every game, because fortunes can change very quickly in Tennis.

Really don't understand why Pegula is a top 5 player - can't see what's exceptional about her game.

To me the whole match turned over at 10:44 when Muchova, leading 6-1 2-0 40-30, missed a clear winner on an open court. She never recovered from that fatal error that would have put her up 3-0 in the 2nd set.

If I was pegula I would be scared stiff to face Sabalenka. It will take 4 Pegulas on the court to stop Sabalenka. Im predicting 6-1 6-1 Sabalenka

These ladies are as powerful as any other top ranked players, and yet they don't feel the need to grunt and scream. It just goes to prove the loud screaming is totally unnecessary. I hope Pegula will get her first grand slam.

I think sometimes they tactically let off on the throttle when the odds of winning the second set are low to conserve energy or risk of injury. They throttle back up in the third set if they can.

@robertsullivan6246 but she was 4:4 30:0 second set ,she was not loosing 5:3 40:0 that's why this strategy or tactics what you talking about is not fit and still not make sense to me ... She was in worst situations in other matches many times and she turned and come back to win from 5:2 40:15 for example . It's for first time from her that she stop fighting and just simple give away two very important points to her oponent .Watch this moment and let me know what do you think...

@@TomBrown-r7zI was just speaking generally. This type of question really needs to be answered by the player.
