Which is more durable? Can't you just peel the acrylic paint right off? Especially since the glass wasn't sanded or prepped? I think to take these to next level you need some stain glass style with opaque and translucent areas, that is cured in the oven, so that it will last outdoors for lifetime.

I'm currently using enamel for the lineart and acrylics and glass stains for everything else. The only real downside I've seen with enamel is that it's messy when making corrections as the bits that get scraped off can stick where you don't want it.
Do you have any recommendations for this or is can much be done about that?

The paint particles if inhaled are toxic, Just like with acrylic paints. Meaning of you're spraying it through a can or airbrush without proper mask then chances are over time the particles can accumulate in your longs and can be harmful. Fumes are not particles. However it can give you an intoxicated effect if inhaled for too long in a poorly ventilated area.
