You've convinced me to buy the identipen. I've been using a Sharpie oil-based paint marker which has worked pretty well but the ink is sometimes too thick or patchy.
Thanks so much. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to leave a comment. So I always try my best to reply. Thanks for noticing and thanks for appreciating it.
This is very helpful, thank you so much!! I just got a clear case for my phone and wanted to try my hand at this since I keep seeing it all over TikTok. I'm excited for my pens and paint to get here.
Man thanks so much for this - I kept trying things other people recommended - Sharpie paint pens, posca ones and they all kept smearing! This video is exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you for this. I think a lot of people who use the other pens listed are looking for finer lines because paint pens don’t have Very Fine lines but they do show up well. This Identipen looks like the happy middle I’ve been looking for. They should sponsor you
I really thank you for putting this up and now I'm going to order Sakura Identipens. I wanted to try glass painting since it looks like it'll be a good decor for my walls and I asked people on the internet about it but all they say is use posca pens without expalining things further. Really appreciate this!
Thank you for showing how different pens work for glass painting. I think these glass paintings look so beautiful and wanted to try it out myself. When I looked around a lot of people recommended Posca pens so I got those, but whatever technique I used to paint - I did try the dabbing - it always smudged which was super frustrating especially when it smudged underneath a very bright color. I ordered an Identi pen now and hope they will work better *crosses fingers*
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! even after doing 8 paintings I couldn't understand why my lines were cracking even tho I was using a paint marker, even after I got different ones. I definitely see it's most likely bc the acrylic paints I have are very liquidy
Exactly. Also if you’re using acrylic paints to color, do not use paint markers to do your lines. The lines will be distroyed. Use an oil based sharpie or a Sakura identipen.
@@DrawninjaKC OHH thank youuu!!! I got better paints and I love them but it was still getting under the line art, it just wasn't cracking or smudging them anymore, so I'm getting closer xD
I was always trying to find the right things I need and finally I know what I need and what I'm suppose to use and what I'm not suppose to use.Thank you!! :)
Soy de México y estos son justo los consejos que estaba buscando, llevo días viendo vídeos de tutoriales pero ninguno me convencía con el tema de mantener las líneas del dibujo intactas, sigue así✨
This is what I am looking for! Thank you for your video. I am really glad that I watched this before I bought sharpie. Thanks again! You deserve more subscribers! Keep safe!!
Omg!! Thank you, now I feel confident enough to get all my supplies and try making a nice gift for my bf💕 I got this huge glass pane and now I can put it to good use, wish me luck 🤞
Thank you so much for this tutorial because the permanent marker that I used was always smudging my glass painting and since I was starting a big glass painting like on A4 I wanted to do it good Thank you so much for these tips These helped me a lot ❤️❤️❤️
I have scrapped my glass painting twice (probs will be a third time) bc this vid showed me I’m using the incorrect paint pen (posca). Couldn’t figure out why the hell my lines kept smudging. It was discouraging and frustrating. thank u so much!!
That's really handy to know, I'm definitely going to order some Identipens. I have a problem, I'm wanting to draw on glass cabochons with metallic pens. But having big problems with getting anything to dry! I've bought a full range of metallic gel pens but they are useless.
Really helpful video should of done more research before buying $200 worth of wrong art supplies but I won’t quit I’ll see what I can do with them. Keep up the good work man I just subscribed 👍
Thanks for subscribing man. If you have acrylic paints and brushes in your Haul, then you are ready to do this. Now just get an identipen. (link in description;)
I can thank u enough like.. I’m trying glass painting with no experience and u basically just saved me from regretting my decisions I can’t thank u enough 😅😅😅
Thank you so much for the tips. I am going to draw my own glass painting so before buying any random markers and colors I want to make sure I am buying right products. Thanks again this video is very helpful ❤️
If you double layer Posca and let it dry between each layer it should stay better. And if you go over sharpie a billion quadrillion times it will look an itty bit less transparent, but do yourself a favor and use oil based sharpies, posca, or identi pen.
Bro thank you so much. I ruined a KCM Naruto piece I was doing for my nieces birthday and was using posca pens. I think my biggest problem was the consistency of the paint. Everything was holding up decently until I laid down the the yellow and it was just too watery and ended up melting the whole thing lol. Thanks for these amazing tips and keep them coming!!!
Sorry to hear about your painting man. I’m sure it was a bummer when it happened. I appreciate your kind words and I will keep them coming. Thanks for watching.
i almost buy a posca pen good thing i watched this and identipen is almost just have the same price as posca but now i know identipen is better! this helps so much, thank you!
I use an identi pen but my lines are still not as opaque. Another thing I wanted to ask is that does the acrylic paint on the glass shrink in cold weather? Cause I've seen alot of times that when I leave my art overnight to dry the next day there are some new holes which weren't there before

Posca pens are THE WORST thing to use for glass art. Great for other things. But not for glass art. Oil based sharpie or identipen will do the trick.
