      Bro, can you explain the swap the timeline and source viewer in a simple way cause it's kind of complicated for me to understand this tip?

    • @CreativeVideoTips
      @CreativeVideoTips  Рік тому +2

      @@zapvamsi8045 basically it lets you control 2 timelines at once. The source is a timeline you drag to the left source monitor. The other timeline is the destination you want to edit to. To open the destination timeline. it’s a normal double click.
      I have another tutorial on here that focuses more on this one technique. It’s called something like edits selects like a pro or similar.
      Hope this helps.

      @@CreativeVideoTips I don´t mind advanced tips and tricks. In fact quite the opposite. Im a proffesional based in munich/germany as well, switched from Premiere to da Vinci. It´s different but at the same time not. And im doing thing like i always did in Premiere, but as i saw there are many things i could do faster or more afficient in Da Vinci. Got my speed Editor some days ago. starting do work more with the cut page. Mulitcam is just awesome. How I won´t quite my sub anyway. :) But as I said Id me more than thankful if you will make also those advanced stuff. Also in Fusion (still confusion as an old AE user) but it is getting better.

    • @CreativeVideoTips
      @CreativeVideoTips  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks, Erik - it's great to hear some of these tutorials have been helpful to understand how you can do some of the same things from Premiere over in Resolve. Some things are even easier in Resolve.
      I'll tell you the one thing that still has me opening premiere each week for a task is to do speech to text automatically. I hope this is something that Blackmagic eventually integrates into Resolve. But for everything else I'm much happier to use Resolve and or Final Cut depending on the project.

    • @HaunterNL
      @HaunterNL 3 роки тому +1

      @@CreativeVideoTips Yeah, they really did a nice job with the whole new captions section. The old one was really bad though.
      The only thing that could be missing from my Premiere workflow is a quick way of replacing clips from my source window or bin by dragging with alt or alt+shift on the old clip, to keep the same clip length and attributes/effects in the timeline. What would your way to to go be in Resolve for this? I have been searching online for solutions, but I mostly find other Premiere users asking for the same question.
      I also really have to get use to enabling or disabling the trim mode, but that's a matter of time I suppose.

    • @CreativeVideoTips
      @CreativeVideoTips  3 роки тому +1

      @@HaunterNL I would use replace edit for this (F11 is the default) - first mark your clip i/o with x on the timeline and then from your source hit F11 to do a "replace". In this video I talk about using replace edit mostly for sound effects syncing because that's how I mostly use it - but I'm pretty sure it will do what you are talking about with alt shift in premiere. Let me know if that's it.

    • @CreativeVideoTips
      @CreativeVideoTips  3 роки тому +1

      Hey thank you! Yes! well mostly yes. The function you want for this on the speed editor is called "MOVE". it is the secondary function under the split (add edit/razor/cut whatever you want to call it) key. The one disadvantage I've found with using "Move" and the search dial is that you can't pull groups of clips together like you can in the edit page.
